Service was disjointed, slow and extremely disappointing in every way. We waited 25 minutes for a drink, had to ask to order food and subsequently sat and watched our food sit at the hot plate while staff walked past what was obviously someone’s dinner. Staff would walk past empty plates, drink and glasses and we had to ask for everything. Good job the food was delicious. We won’t be going back.

We ate dinner here on a Friday night, and we loved it so much that we came back for breakfast on Sunday. Breakfast is great, but their dinner is the real star to us. Every option is so creative and delicious, and the price for what you get is very reasonable.

We enjoy dining outdoors at Provisional Provisions. The service is always good, and their hamburgers are delicious. It’s a good place to eat before going to a Padre game. I can also highly recommend the bottomless mimosas. The syrups that they serve with the Prosecco are very flavorful.

Service was fantastic, as usual! We’ve been here for many breakfast/brunches, always great food, ambience, and service! First time for lunch, an hr before closing, we ordered different salads — chopped and strawberry arugula. We each paid $6 extra for avocado on our salad, to our dismay, way too much dressing, not enough toppings, 90% greens and worse part the avocado (either it was previously frozen avocado or overly ripe avocado, mushy and flavorless). If restaurant did not have avocado to your standards, you should let it be known, we could have instead ordered chicken or salmon for few $ more! We just flew in, came directly from SAN, so excited to be back in SD, the overly pricey almost half avocado for $12 and disappointing salad put a damper on our first lunch in one of our fave city!

Really lovely spot for a weekend brunch. The service was amazing and the food was delicious! The menu has many options for people with dietary restrictions and the servers are well versed in dealing with dietary restrictions. The room itself feels open and airy and has a great vibe.

The appetizers were excellent as were the scallops that were done to perfection. The ricotta cheese cake was light and fluffy and not too sweet; I love roasted cauliflower, but it was undercooked and not seasoned well. Oh well.

We had a great experience, Norma, our server was terrific. I highly recommend the churro French toast if you like sweets. Otherwise, the breakfast pizza is excellent for a savory fan.

One of the best brunch experiences we have ever encountered. I highly recommend it. Sergio, our server was exceptional and took great care of us. He had great recommendations as well, however, I think anything you order would be outstanding. The champagne vending machine was so much fun too. Great times.

We were looking for a restaurant in the gaslamp area that had valet parking, so we looked at the provisional. Restaurant and I got to tell you the food was outstanding, and so were the specialty drinks they offered. I was very very pleasantly surprised and will definitely go back again.!!

Food took a long time. Focaccia was like a focaccia biscuit. Weird. Mushroom bolognese was really just spaghetti with lots of tomato sauce and mushrooms added. Expected something similar to a traditional bolognese. Our service was attentive and apologetic for long wait for food.

The food was 5 stars, hands down. The service was a bit lacking. For the price point, I would have expected the service to match. We had to wait so long to order, then a long wait for the food, then the food comes and my friend needs pepper so we have to wait 10 more mins to flag down the server. We asked for separate checks which ended up taking 20 mins to do. Definitely leave extra time when dining here.

Stayed at the Pendry (the hotel that the restaurant is inside of), and absolutely enjoyed our dinner. We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary and were so glad we chose Provisional. Amazing service and food! We were spoiled and would recommend dining here.

The valentine pre-fix menu was limited to only one choice, extremely expensive, and felt rushed.

For starters, I requested a regular table and not a high top. We were given the high top without an option to wait for a regular table. The waiter was nice but not very attentive, our water was never refilled. And we were never asked if we liked another drink.

Food was pretty decent. Ahi crude could’ve used some heat, that would’ve taken it to the next level. Veal osso bucco needed a little more salt but overall decent. The shrimp tortellini was delicious. The broth/ base was rich and flavorful. The pasta itself was a little under but not a deal breaker. Ribeye was seasoned well but it came out more on the medium side when I ordered it well done (pregnant so I can’t really eat undercooked meat). Atmosphere was was great. It took a while to get our drinks and appetizers, but once service started it was great. I’d recommend and I’d go back.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at The Provisional Kitchen restaurant. The ambience was elegant, the attendants were phenomenal, the background music was nice and the food was delicious. We also took advantage of the Thursday “date night” special. We had flatbread appetizers smothered in baby heirloom tomatoes. The main entree was ribeye steak mated with seasoned baby carrots and penne alla vodka. The desert was a round dome chocolate filled with cream cherries. It was an amazing meal.

Tomato soup and truffle grilled cheese…both were amazing!!! Wonderful menu options. Our server was very sweet and attentive. Beautiful ambiance - can’t wait to go back for breakfast.
