The BEST Sunday Brunch in San Diego. Always a pleasant dining experience. Friendly staffs from the receptionist, food servers and waiters/waitresses. Food are delicious especially the seafood selections.

Ordinarily the Sunday buffet is fairly good but today many of the dishes were empty maybe due to our reservations being within an hour of closing. Service is usually great but today it was not. One employee told us it was because they were way understaffed yet still had to serve a full house. The potatoes were very dry, the salad choices were limited, the usual delicious steamed lobsters were non-existent, the omelets were tasteless, but the dessert choices were very nice. This is the first and only bad review I have written as I have eaten a complimentary buffet there many times for the last five years. I guess today was just an off day for Prime & us.

we were there on 5-18-2024. we ordered: caesar's salad, steak & potato "america" 22oz, australian wagyu tomahawk 32oz, baked loaded idaho potato, red wine, and the creme brulee. everything was fantastic. steaks were cooked to perfection. we will be back.

Tried 3 new dishes from the new menu. All three dishes (duck, chicken, and quail) found under "from the sky" were delicious.

Some of the food wasn’t labeled. Example they had hot custard. I think. It looked like cream of wheat with a layer on melted butter on top I had to ask what it was. The salad was just a bowl of lettuce unless I missed other cutraments. Couldn’t find a vegetable anywhere. Lobster and primerib were fine which was the main dishes of the buffet

I have been going there for the last 5 years.There's only one other time.The food was terrible and that was saint patrick's day weekend. I booked Mother's Day thinking the food was gonna be extra special but it wasn't.It was terrible.That egg muffins were burnt. The lobster oyster shrimp. Prime river always exceptionally good but other than that, there wasn't a great variety of anything worth eating. The bread pudding was great, but as far as the whole menu it was terrible. My waitress used to be Missy, but now it's Ricky. Unfortunately she was not there yesterday, the waitress I had was terrible, didn't know anything and was late on serving the drinks, salt and pepper, I actually had to ask the bus boy for assistance. So it was terrible

The food was so delicious. Best prime rib I’ve ever had. The restaurant is beautiful, but most of all, the service was impeccable, from the hostess, to brunch food staff, to bartender, to our waiter. And shout out to our waiter, David, who was fabulous! It was a wonderful brunch, best ever. I highly recommend!!!

I was really anticipating this Sunday brunch experience for weeks because it was a special occasion for my mother on Mother’s Day. This was my first visit to Prime Cut as well. Everything was great except the highly unexpected and unusual announcement that we would only have one hour to dine and enjoy ourselves during to it being Mother’s Day. We served ourselves, sat down, ordered drinks, began eating and before we knew it the hour flew by and we had to leave. We didn’t even get to comfortably finish our food and had to leave some it on the table. That one hour policy was definitely not enough time to enjoy ourselves and was very disappointing. I hope Prime Cut changes this policy on Mother’s Day to 1.5 or two hours in the future.

I had a reservation, however when I got there I had to wait in line . What is the point in having a reservation when I still had to wait in line. When I was seated it was well past my reservation time. When I finally was seated, there were plenty of empty tables. Why the line and the wait?

Meal was okay. Some food was not maintained hot or warm. Took a long time to refill when they ran out of food. Waitress disappeared for 30 minutes waiting on our bill. Did not receive discount on bill had to have bill re-ran now a double charge on my credit card. Nope, won't be coming back.
