This is a do-not-miss dining experience. After many mediocre (not so) fine dining experiences elsewhere, this restaurant was a true standout in every way.

The waiter was outstanding with everything, very informational as far as the menu goes and the history of the prime and Pearl establishment. The food was amazing. No complaints. Left me and my wife speechless. Highly recommend this place! Treat yourself!!!!

Always a treat to dine at Prime and Pearl. It was a bit noisier than usual but it really didn’t interfere with our evening. Excited to see that you’ll be expanding in the future. And we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you.

The service was good. My ribeye steak was awful. It was tough and had no flavor. It was like it was pulled out the freezer and quickly grilled with no seasoning added. I ate about four bites and gave up. I ended up eating half of my wife's crab cakes and throwing the $50 steak away. I was amazed that the waiter did not ask why I had not eaten my steak. Kind of obvious something was wrong. The atmosphere was way too casual (shorts) for a restaurant that ends up being $100/person.

The restaurant is very nice and in a nice location. Clean and moderately quiet. The bartender Sarah was lovely and perfect amount of attentive. The waiter we had was very… intrusive and his timing was off. Maybe an off night but he kept interrupting conversations frequently (business dinner) and we felt rushed to move along. Our reservation was for 730p and allowed adequate time for us to wrap up before closing. The steak was perfect. Dessert with a whiskey is a must!

I have been to Prime & Pearl multiple times and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our waitress Melanie was amazing, very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a bit loud on this occasion because of a large party in the semi-private room. Our table was just in front of the sliding doors and they were left open for most of our dinner due to guests walking in and out. It was difficult at times having a conversation. The next time I make reservations I'll be sure to ask for a table away from the room. Luckily P&P is expanding so there will be more seating options.

This is a special place to celebrate occasions in our small college town. Gainesville is really stepping it up with this classy establishment. We had a wonderful family graduation celebration dinner with delicious food & drink with detailed service and attentiveness all the way from the knife selections for our steaks to the outrageously magnificent dessert!

We had high expectations but overall not worth the price. Steak was fine but not excellent. Mushrooms were cold. Pork chop cooked medium well was tasteless. Highlight was the stuffed carrot cake.

I booked reservations and asked to be seated in the blue booth. We were early, there was no one in the booths, and we were taken to a back dining room. I ordered the sea bass , which came as a thin fillet and was very salty. I couldn’t eat it. A girl came over to take away our dirty dishes and placed my used silverware on top of the table. That’s so unsanitary to me. So I asked a different waiter staff for clean silverware. After dinner and before dessert another waitress did the exact same thing!! This is not best practice for infection control people! My mouth has been on the silverware but not on the table surface for a reason. You never know who is on chemotherapy or Immunosuppressants. I always check the menu and prices beforehand so the $200+check was not too bad. We ordered the carrot cake and it saved the experience for me! They brought out what looked like 1/4 cake. It was stacked with cheesecake in between and OMG!

We chose this restaurant for our wedding anniversary dinner. This was the second year in a row that we chose this restaurant for our special occasion and they did not disappoint. The food is exceptional. Service was very professional. Thank you again for making our evening a wonderful experience Art & Renee restaurant

A superior dining establishment. This is clearly the best steakhouse in Gainesville and would compete for the best in many large cities. The steak was excellent, the prime rib (a special) was outstanding, the wine and cocktails were great, and the service was super. The only odd aspect of the diner was the "choose your knife" part where the server brings a selection of steak knives and you select the one you want. I think one word describes this procedure: "Stupid." Or maybe "Unnecessary". Or maybe both as in "Stupid and unnecessary."

We really like P&P and enjoy the food and service! On this particular occasion (fiancé’s birthday), our entrees were not cooked to our desired temp. He ordered rack of lamb medium and I requested the NY Strip medium. Both were very well done and charred on the exterior. You could only taste the char on both cuts of meat which was not pleasant. The staff was kind enough to offer to re-cook them but we declined. They did, however, comp our main dishes. Our appetizers and beverages were on point! We will return to P&P in the future and appreciate their level of customer service and attention.

Took my wife here for our anniversary on 4/12/24. Second time eating here. A little noisy this time. Food was great, service was great. We totally enjoyed our anniversary dinner. We will return in the future.

We have dined here multiple times when visiting Gainesville This time, the quality of the filet mignon was not good. Each piece was very fatty and my husband got an end of the tenderloin. That is not the best cut, filet mignon, of a tenderloin. Not a big fan of the silky mashed potatoes either.Our server, whose name I am sorry I cannot remember at this moment, was outstanding. Overall, this was not a meal I would value at the $300 we spent.

overall not bad. ambience very conservative food outrageously priced presentation average. crab cakes fried too crunchy but soft and juicy on the inside. portions smaller than average. wanted to like it but would not return unless sponsored event.

The service, drinks & dessert were impeccable!! The food was good but we expected excellence especially with the money we spent. Would definitely recommend people to try this place & we will come back in hopes that our next experience will be better!!

Overall nice evening at Prime and Pearl, Sarah K was a fantastic waitress, food was very good although they were out of coconut cream pie at 6pm on a Saturday night which I found very disappointing.

I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was outstanding! The Caesar Salad was very good, the dressing was not overwhelming and the salad plate and fork were chilled.
