Located on the edge of City Square Park in Charlestown, Prima is an energetic Italian celebration of reimagined classics. Our beautifully restored grand bar and dining room – which overlooks the park as well as the city skyline – strives to honor our building’s past and its prestigious placement at the gate of this historic Boston neighborhood.

    Everything was fantastic from the time we were greeted at the Entrance, then seated in the Rose Room in a cozy table for 2. The staff was outstanding with recommendations and service. The food was delish. I actually cancelled my main dish because I was full from the Apps. We had the meatballs, which were so good and the Bread Board , equally good. The Cesear salad was excellent and the Filet was probably the best we have had!! Ended the meal w a desert that our server recommended….soooo good!! Highly recommend Prima!!

    Excellent service and food. Options were a bit pricey, but 1/2 portions for some of the meals helps.

    Another great evening celebrating a friends birthday at Prima. Especially appreciate the corner bar booth, it is one of our favorite places to sit in the restaurant. As always, Geronimo and Andrew were super hospitality!

    If you have yet to visit this quaint establishment, you are missing out. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I reached out to the restaurant to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and they were able to accommodate my small requests. Thank you all for making the day memorable! We will definitely be back!! My only regret is I wish I had taken pictures of our dishes.

    One of the best meals we’ve had in Boston! Great options and all delicious. Stopped into the Rose Room after for a nightcap which was perfect. Will definitely be coming back!

    The interior space of Prima is attractive and classy. Our waitperson was pleasant, but hard to hear in the very full and noisy room. As is often the case, the appetizers were more successful than the entrees - except for the bruschetta, which was strange and unsuccessful. But every entree was a disappointment. The breading on a chicken Parmesan was burnt on the bottom, the penne vodka was dull and wierdly seasoned. In general, the challenge to altering familiar and popular dishes is to do something different but better. Prima hasn’t found that formula.
