Prelude Kitchen & Bar is Restaurant located in Downtown Sacramento that serves Modern American, Farm to Fork cuisine. Our Chefs work directly with local Sacramento Farmers to source local ingredients for each dish. We believe food and dining is more than sustenance, it's a connection between guests, chefs, farmers, and the nature that surrounds us. Our menu is crafted from scratch, ensuring that every bite resonates with exceptional taste, genuine flavor, and fine dining quality. Prelude Kitchen & Bar is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Sacramento next to the Crest Theater, Golden One Center, State Capitol, SAFE Credit Union Convention Center and Performing Arts Center. We offer validated parking at Capitol Garage located directly across the restaurant.

Fabulous service, yummy cocktails, delicious food. The lighting was stellar - overall enjoyed every single bite and sip. I was here for only 2 full days and went 2x- once for lunch when I landed and once for dinner as my last meal in town. Definitely will be back again.

I took my wife to the prelude Kitchen and.Bar for her birthday. We had a great time and the food was amazing. We loved the Angus Ribeyes. It was best option in the menu along with the wine. The waiter was very pleasant and understanding we wanted to change one of our meals. We really appreciate the hospitality.

The location in downtown was amazing. Our server was one of the kindest and attentive we have ever had. The food was good and they even treated us with some of the best homemade vanilla ice cream for our anniversary.

Great service , from both the Bar and waitress. I believe her name was Tamara.. truly exceptional service. I wish i got the bartenders name but she was amazing as well. Overall great experience.

Loved everything! Staff was so helpful and friendly! They were very attentive to all of our needs! Ryan was our main server from cocktails and apps to dinner! Beautifully done restaurant, so comfortable! Loved the bar area! Food was excellent! Loved the meat and cheese board. Cocktails were great! We had the meatballs and pasta, pork shoulder and risotto for our main courses. Everything was so good! This was our first time and we will be back for sure!

Res orig was cancelled due to restaurant buyout. We changed to the following day requesting patio weather dependent. I received a call again saying the patio was bought out we'd be inside. We arrived on time and they tried to seat us on the patio. It was 105 and sunny impossible to sit outside plus they confirmed us inside. They said they would 'accomodate' sitting us letting us know we had 90 minutes to eat and they needed the table. Expensive restaurant for this kind of service and shuffle. Server was attentive food was mostly good main entree needed seasoning. no time for dessert!

Celebrated our anniversary at Prelude, we had exceptional service. I ordered the halibut and my husband ordered the pork shoulder. We will definitely be back soon.
