A steakhouse: city vibe, local heart. Our menu is hand selected to feature locally and ethically sourced ingredients. Our head chef and owner Jason Carron has revolutionized the New England restaurant community for two decades. With his acute attention to detail, Carron has helped struggling restaurants find their purpose and passion, restoring their place in the industry. Having given hope to hundreds of restaurants over the years, Carron is opening his first steakhouse this spring, bringing that same level of attention to his own restaurant. Every ingredient is well thought out to innovate the plate with not only something aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly delicious. His farm to table approach, ensures the highest level of ingredients go into every meal you enjoy.

Food and drinks were unbelievable, luxurious booths and gorgeous decor. Louis our waiter was so knowledgeable and knew the menu extremely well. He made several recommendations, and he was spot on. We will be back!

Fantastic experience and amazing food. Best part of night was Alyana. Her caring nature and attention to detail made the night perfect. Already booked a return night to celebrate my wife’s birthday.

We celebrated our 39th anniversary in the town we have always lived! The post office has been magically transformed into the best spot in town! Congratulations on creating such a historically correct transformation of a space that represents our town so well! The owners and staff were beyond welcoming! Make sure to check out the fabulous restroom!!!! We will be back again soon! Thanks for the dessert!!!

We got cheese bites which were terrible, dumplings were very bland and the crab cakes were good. 5 of us orders steak and only 2 were cooked properly. We ordered 3 desserts and was very disappointed. Drinks are good and our server was very attentive.

We chose Post to celebrate two birthdays out of our party of five people. We had a long, relaxing dinner, and never felt rushed to get out of there. Service was great, atmosphere is beautiful, and the food was excellent! We will certainly be back!

We enjoyed our dining experience at Post, The ambiance/decor was beautiful, we sat in a booth that was very cozy. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu with great recommendations on what to get as well as pairings. The steak and scallops were cooked perfectly, and I would definitely recommend ending with an espresso martini. We will definitely be back!

Amazing food and service in a beautiful and very fine ambiance. Chef/owner, manager, and staff all show great hospitality. Steaks taste better than many other local 5-star steakhouses. My only critique is that the music is a bit too loud. Lowering the volume so it’s more in the background would make for an even more refined experience, also perhaps alternating with some more mellow music (e.g., Hotel Costes). Overall outstanding and will continue visiting regularly.

Exceeded expectations from start to finish, from the elegant decor to the outstanding cocktails and meals. Highly recommend ordering the “sauce flight” along with your filet…oysters and wedge salad were divine and lobster Mac and cheese was sooooooo good. The cucumber martini is my new favorite cocktail, my husband loved the touch of sesame oil in his martini... Can’t wait to come back and try more things it was hard to choose so many great options on the menu!!!

We left raving about the crab cakes and the 32 oz long bone. The crab cakes had very little filler and the lobster sauce was a perfect pairing. The long bone lived up to the Brandt brand. Melt in your mouth delicious. We got the sauce sampler and did not find a loser in the bunch. We finished with chocolate cake that was baked in house. It was decadent. The atmosphere was suitable for conversation. We can hardly wait to try other items on the menu.

Not great. Was surprised due to all the great reviews but could have been an off night. Waitress was friendly but not fine dining polished. Ordered a cranberry/soda and it came in a giant wine glass with no ice (??). Steak frites were lacking flavor and sear, truffle fries were soggy. No bread because “the chef hasn’t decided how he wants to do it yet.”

The restaurant looks really nice inside,modern look ,the food was good,prices a little elevated for the portion sizes that we got. We ordered apps,salad ,steaks,and sides. Everything was cooked ok,my Med steak was a little overcooked but very tender and full of flavor,but again did not look like a 16 oz portion size,the crab cake was good ,lamb chops excellent, we got truffle fries broccoli Rabe and mashed potatoes. All very good. The dessert was too rich though, Chocolate cake with chocolate fudge ,I would of liked a more simple chocolate cake. But we have to mention that our waitress was rushing us too much. From the minute we got there we felt like she didn't give us a chance to realy look over the menu,then kept interrupting us while eating then tried to clear our plates away when we were not finished with our different courses. If your going to charge the big city prices and be a high end restaurant ,the wait staff needs to chill a little and let the customers enjoy there meals without constant interruptions. Also, please get a shade for the windows in the bar area. The sun got so bright at our table I could not see the person across from me for a good 20 minutes. Best of luck,but we may wait a few months before coming back.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Staff were very knowledgeable and well prepared. Very attentive. Drinks were great and wide variety. Food was was amazing!! Steak frites with side of Mac and cheese was super!! I didn’t try the scallops that my friend ordered but she loved them. Owner was walking around restaurant and checking in on tables which was a nice touch. Definitely check it out.

Overall, I had a wonderful dinner with friends here. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant is brand new so service was slow, but I have no doubt that it will pick up as the staff grows. I’m excited to go back soon and try their dessert menu.

Having only been open a week it overall was positive experience. That said, some menu items need some work: Chicken parm had absolutely no favor, very odd for such a dish. Cacio was over peppered and no other flavor or enough cheese/sauce Street corn, delicious but seasoning very salty Steak filet ordered medium, was borderline well Drinks were good Broccoli rabe was great Wagyu app delicious Chopped salad perfect Atmosphere & design is beautiful Will go again but hope some new kinks are worked out

This is a new restaurant. They are experiencing growing pains. Three out of four meals were good and had room for improvement . One meal was very good. We look forward to trying the restaurant again after they have been up and running for a month or so.

Everything about our whole experience was welcoming, fantastic, and vibrant. The food and cocktails were incredible and our waitress couldn’t have been more knowledgeable and efficient. We even had the pleasure of meeting the chef who was making rounds checking on customers. Will absolutely be back again soon!

The Post is a beautiful place. The decor is gorgeous; the lights, the wallpaper, the bar, even the bathroom. The bar is huge and spacious. The food was excellent. Great choice for apps and sides. I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail; huge and fresh with a tasty sauce. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall experience was fantastic. Reading is lucky to have such a nice place.

My fillet was outstanding. Waitress had personality and very pleasant. Bartender tells us that the fancy prisecco glasses were the same style the queen of England drank from. Awesome big bar with outstanding decor including the cool chandeliers

Loved the vibe. The truffle fries and steak tartare were amazing. Drinks were so on point. I don’t think I’d order the waygu dumplings again. I’ll 100% be back! Overall really good experience!!
