We reserved a table outdoors since the weather was so nice. We were seated within a couple minutes of arriving, and our waiter greeted us right away. From beginning to end the service was exceptional - everything we ordered came very quickly! Ordered Pollo Positano, Pollo Limone, Spaghetti & Meatballs and Caesar Salad. All excellent!

The service was as good as always, our server Val was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. The food was exceptional and far exceeded our expatiation's. Great place for a drink or a full meal and special occasion. With a new location hopefully opening soon, in the western suburbs another Jem out there.

Positano is our favorite Italian food restaurant. The pasta is delicious! The service is excellent and the amosphere pleasant. The family that owns the restaurant is from the city of Positano in Italy. Two bothers-in-laws manage the restaurant. We spoke with one of them after our dinner and he was so happy to hear that we enjoyed our meal so much and was proud to let us know how much he appreciated our feedback.

We very much enjoyed the meal. They have a very good menu and an interesting if somewhat expensive wine list. It was a bit cold, so we changed from eating outside to indoors, which required a short wait for a table. They were out of the wine I selected, so they brought me a taste of an alternative that was very good. Our food (Paperdelle al Nonno and the Pollo Amalfi) was delicious and we split a chopped salad that was perfect for sharing. We were too full for dessert.

Four of us at the table couldn't get over how hot are food was. Meaning now lukewarm as experienced at other restaurants.

I hosted a small pre-theater dinner party at Positano Ristorante recently, and the food and the service provided turned a quick bite into the delightful beginning of a memorable gathering of friends and family. The medley of Calamari Fritti and Calamari Griglia, followed by a nicely-prepared Salmon Napolitano for dinner, comprised the perfect light meal for my evening in a theater seat; others in my party sampled the Spaghetti Con Meatballs, the Pesce Bianco alla Spinaci, and the Braciole: all of us were very pleased with our meals. The kitchen and serving staff far, far exceeded my expectations, and my guests lavished me with praise for choosing such a wonderful restaurant. Oakbrook Terrace has a gem in Positano Ristorante, and we are looking for a reprise on my next visit to the Midwest.

We went to celebrate two special occasions for our family. It was a night they had live music. Unfortunately, the music was so uncomfortably loud that one family member had to leave early. The decibel level averaged from 95 - 100, which is the level you typically see at a rock concert. The restaurant is relatively small and the volume of the music is ridiculous. It was hard to have any conversation at all at our table. We mentioned the too loud volume to our server, but nothing was done. The food was enjoyed by some but my entree was the seafood special and lacked any flavor at all. It certainly was an experience we will not forget.

Dinner was excellent and the dessert was even better. Waitstaff was great. I would go back.
