À la minute où vous entrez au Poseidon, vous serez balayé par la vue fabuleuse qu'offre le restaurant sur la mer. On ne peut pas être plus près du sable et de la plage qu'assis au Poséidon sur leur magnifique terrasse extérieure. Avec une telle vue sur l'océan, vous ferez l'expérience de couchers de soleil à couper le souffle. Pendant la belle saison, vous pourrez même apercevoir des baleines migrant vers le haut ou vers le bas de la côte. Le bar est muni d'un grand foyer circulaire, ce qui est très agréable lors des soirées de pluie d'automne ou durant les soirs froids d'hiver. Juste à côté du bar, on y retrouve la salle à manger qui est sur deux niveaux et qui offre à chaque table une vue panoramique sur la plage et l'océan. Depuis plus de 33 ans, le Poséidon a ravi à la fois la population locale de San Diego et les touristes qui aiment profiter de la plage. Wonderful experience sitting on the patio. Food was excellent. Soup was nice and hot. Was surprised at the final bill being somewhat high but well worth it.

I had the best Mother’s Day brunch !! The food was so delicious we are still talking about it ! Service was perfect’ We paid for parking across the street. Regret not using the valet service the restaurant provides for way less cost ! If I could have given more than 5 stars I would ! Can’t wait to go back !

I was there with a friend of mine. We ordered the prawn cocktail for an appetizer, and it was huge and amazing. Really flavorful and love the avocado cocktail sauce that went with.

Everything was just as the person who recommended Posiden to us said it was. Our server Lila was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. Multiple staff stopped and asked us if we needed anything. The food was excellent and the presentation was first class.

Portions of the dishes are surprisingly small so I felt most of the plates are overpriced. Ambience and service were great, food was good. I would say the pricing and taste don’t really match but I guess you are paying for the view/location. Seeing the sunset right in front of you was also great.

Our reservation was for 645. The view was beautiful, unfortunately it was overcast that day so no sunset to be seen. The scallops were delicious along with the special of the day, which was panko crusted halibut. Guadalupe, our server, was friendly and attentive. She brought us out a delicious, complimentary, crème brûlée to end our meal in celebration of our anniversary. Will definitely visit there again.

Hello, Poseidon is a beautiful spot on the beach in Del Mar. They have valet parking available which was very convenient. The food looked beautiful but our eggs benedict were awful. No Canadian bacon, just a huge pile of ham, hollandaise sauce was spicy and not traditional. Jut not good. Very disappointing. Nice place to get drinks.

Great Experience! When we arrived we were shown to our table right away. Our server and the staff was quick to bring everything we ordered. Outdoor seating was amazing with up close views of the ocean…and heaters to keep us warm. Food was yummmmm and look forward to going again.

We make sure to enjoy an afternoon at Poseidon every year when visiting the area. It never disappoints! Our server, our table overlooking the ocean, our food (shared Greek salad and sea bass) - all excellent!

We were pleased with our service, food, and the view was fantastic. We even got to meet Chef Travis. Our waiter, Will, was very attentive and super friendly. Poseidon is definitely on our list for any occasion.

My dad was visiting from out of town and we wanted to him take him to a nice place. Poseidon ended up being perfect. The food was delicious, the view was gorgeous and our waiter Dave was awesome. Will definitely be back.

Had a terrific experience celebrating my wife’s birthday with family. The staff were eager to honor our requests. The waitress was outstanding. We brought a cake and they presented it to us as if it was one of their dishes. Greatly appreciated it. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was delicious. Definitely plan on returning.

With a sunset-timed reservation, we were seated on the outdoor patio overlooking the beach. Outdoor heaters kept the temperature just right. Our server Dave was amazing (prompt, professional, humorous, and ready and willing to take photos of us). The calamari appetizer was a bit small but seasoned perfectly, delicious, and gone too quickly. My sesame crusted Ahi tuna with the mashed potatoes with a hint of wasabi was incredible. My wife’s scallops, equally scrumptious! The bar makes a wide variety of cocktails with an impressive wine selection too. For an evening, romantic dinner, with amazing food, this is the place!

As always, a wonderful evening, especially with an extraordinary staff. It is just amazing how kind and friendly, and I dare say, loving they all are. Our server last night, Lupita, was great. Other staff members that stopped by to say hello, Lila, David, Claudia, Theresa and Oscar. Poseidon is definitely our favorite restaurant.
