Porto boasts a large and beautiful heated patio space with a retractable awning and sides in the middle of Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. The menu is inspired by Coastal Mediterranean selections with a focus on Italy's coast. Porto is located on Ring Road in Boston's Bay Bay, steps from the Prudential Center and Copley, next door to Saks Fifth Avenue.

Enjoy a lively meal in either of Porto's well appointed dining rooms, or indulge in a casual meal at the bar or kitchen counter seating, overlooking the oyster bar and open kitchen. Porto's one-of-a-kind outdoor patio and bar overlooks Ring Road with Boylston Street views, and serves as a Mediterranean oasis, right in the heart of Back Bay.

Really beautiful restaurant. The wait staff all worked together so you were always taken care of. Food delicious. The patio was really pretty however windy, the brought us in without us asking to a cozy and pretty table. I will definitely be back.

We drove over an hour from a neighboring state for a Mother's Day lunch, reserved through OpenTable. When we arrived - on time - we were told by the hostess that they were not accepting reservations because "the kitchen was overwhelmed" and that no food would be coming out of the kitchen for at least an hour. We were told we could wait in the bar but there would be no food and they suggested we might find another place to eat which we did. Disgraceful, unprofessional behavior.

Octopus was fabulous, calamari… not so much. Scallops a La Plancha were delicious, Bolognese - just meh. Server left empty glasses on the table a bit longer than I would have liked and our table was directly inside the door from the bar so it was pretty loud. All in all it was good / fine / what I would expect in Boston at that price point - but not a standout.

What a memorable meal! The wine list is imaginative. I wasn't familiar with some of the wines and the manager spent several minutes with my wife and I talking about various offerings. The result was a dry Italian white that perfectly paired with our seafood options. The food was expertly prepared. The seared branzino was flaky, moist and flavorful. The seasoning was subtle, not overwhelming this delicate fish. The scallops were perfect (so often they're over-cooked). Service was attentive without being obtrusive. This was our second visit and we'll be back!

We frequent this lovely place but this was our first time on the heated patio. It used to wonderful! Same good food and service with a hint of being outside. We will be back!

Food was terrific. Service was not very good. Hostess was rude multiple times to us when we checked in. Server was friendly and attentive but seemed new / poorly trained (forgot items we ordered, couldn't answer basic questions about menu items). Would go back and give another try but felt like service was lackluster for price point.

Good food, but a truly limited menu. Should not be billed as Italian. It’s more Mediterranean with a couple of Italian dishes. Super nice hostess and staff but the waiter wasn’t interested in us, which was unfortunate.

Enjoyed a leisurely birthday celebration over delicious food. Only minor disappointment was the dessert menu. Two mundane option—sorbet and tiramisu. The other two were too fussy (Would have liked a chocolate option without chili!) so we passed.

We have a friend who is allergic to nuts, so far the starters, we asked to have the nuts on the side for the salad. Then for the main, we forgot to mention it, but the nuts were placed on the side without asking, which was great! The server was super observant and remembered our special request! And we liked the food. Thank you Porto.

Apps were perfect - meatballs cauliflower burrata - all done perfectly with lots of flavor! I had the Branzino and highly recommend if you like fish-

Porto is a rather fancy Mediterranean fare with a diverse menu. We had a few cocktails as our table was prepared (we waited maybe a half hour at the bar, they comped us some French Fries); when we were sat, my parents and girlfriend & I shared a bottle of white wine. The Lamb Chops I ordered were good, but the cream and cheese somewhat overwhelmed the grilled char. The star of the show was the mushroom pasta, to be sure.

Overall the food was good. We ordered the octopus to start which was delicious. Then my boyfriend ordered the branzino with a side of the potatoes. It was very good. I ordered the wild boar pasta dish. It was not good. The meat was dry and over cooked. Since the other food we got was tasty, i’d come back and try a different dish.

We were charged a three percent kitchen appreciation fee. That’s sneaky. Tell us that in advance. The waitress was slow to come to our table, so we made sure to order drinks, appetizers, and entrees before she disappeared again. The food came fast. Overall, it was just ok. I won’t go out of my way to return there.
