Have been maybe 5+ times before in the past. Food is always great. Service was nothing like we have seen before. Our server was no where to be found. Very disappointing. We were sitting for at least 15 minutes before anyone even came over to us. Not sure what was going on but totally off their game… However, a shout out to the sommelier who we have worked with before and suggested a great bottle of red.

We visited as a family with 3 kids aged 7 to 13 to celebrate a birthday. The food was outstanding and would rate as one of the best steaks we have ever had the pleasure of trying. Our sitting was at 12:30 on a Friday and found that the venue wasnt that busy which made it rather quiet and didnt add to ambiance but not a major deal for us. The views out to Central Park make this location a great pick for a high quality dining experience with amazing views.

The waiter sold us on one last remaining a “Alaskan Halibut” that my wife ordered. It turned out to be pretty bad and not up to the standards that we’ve come to expect from Potter House. We were running short in time since we had a show to catch (otherwise we would have returned it…) The rest of our group had steaks and they were all very good as usual. Perhaps the lesson here is to stay away from fish dishes at Porterhouse.

ALWAYS a fabulous meal. Freshest seafood and gorgeous steaks. One of our favorites! Waitstaff so kind and friendly. My kids never feel overwhelmed.

Lunch at Porter House is a great start to an afternoon spent at Lincoln Center Theatre. The food is prepared beautifully. Just lovely.

Beautiful space with impeccable service. NY has excellent steakhouses and Unfortunately my wife and I did not like the food here as much. Also quite noisy. Very expensive so not the best value. Good experience overall but I will not return.

The Porter House meal was delicious as always! We had drinks, bacon, Caesar salad, rib eye steak, chicken, sides and dessert. We found the hostess service lacking and bordering on rude; she would not seat me until my husband arrived then she tried to seat us in a dark table near the bathroom and next to the wall. She grudgingly gave us a table near the window as a huge favor. We loved our server but he decompensated as the restaurant filled up and it became a race against time to make our 8:00pm concert. The service should be top notch given the price of the meal.

Dinner last night was wonderful. The special risotto with fresh peas and lava beans, and black truffle, was especially delicious, as was the special panna cotta desert. Service was terrific, as usual, highlighted by the warm welcome and focused attention by Tim, Joao, and Sam.

Dinner last night was wonderful. Tim kept everything humming and under control, Joao offered excellent wine suggestions, Arthur is an engaged and highly professional waiter, and the food was outstanding: mixed green salad, Kansas City steak, hash browned potatoes, and the special dessert: panna cotta. Wow!

The broccoli rabe was laced with SO MUCH OIL and the Cream Spinach had way too much cream. Both were really not edible. Everything else was fine.
