This review is strictly for Porter Creek in Fargo, ND. I have had very good food and service at other locations but this time the server totally forgot about us. The food took so long to get to us that everyone of our 5 meals were COLD.

We got placed in the very far back of the restaurant in what looked like an enclosed patio. Not sure why since it looked like there was plenty of open tables in the main part of the restaurant as we passed by. It was extremely noisy and at one point it sounded like a helicopter was landing on the roof. I think it was some kind of exhaust fan maybe. Were we put in the crappiest table because we booked on OpenTable? We arrived early and sat in the bar and had a drink waiting for our reservation. We could have just had our dinner there but that was never offered. We even had to close out our bar tab instead of adding it to our food order. I thought that was odd. Our server made up for a lot of the minor annoyances though. She was great.

We made reservations for our 31st Wedding Anniversary. We requested a table back by the fireplace so we could have an enjoyable dinner without so much noise, however we were seated at a booth, next to the bar, right by the entrance with a lot of traffic from other patrons. This was a little disappointing and wondered if they didn’t even look at our special request for a seating preference. Our server, Ryan, was amazing though and we still had a great meal.

Porter Creek is one of our favorite restaurants - the service is always great, and they have a combination of new menu items along with the long time favorites. We have never had a bad meal or experience here.

Very disappointed with the signature chowder! It was not a chowder & had no seasoning. The server kept using “we” when conversing with us which I found annoying. It had a nice ambiance, but I wouldn’t return.

This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is top notch and the staff is absolutely amazing. The hanger steak is delicious as well as the chicken. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal there.

A big okay. They seated us at the back of the restaurant in the patio area. The heaters kept the temperature reasonable on this January evening but we passed a lot of nicer tables within the restaurant on the way in. Our first table wobbled badly so we were reseated but watched a couple more guests change from that table after us. The food was fine and the server did her best but could have used some further training. No removal of the appetizer dishes after the meal arrived and no check up of the meal and drink refresh. We were a little disappointed.

Superb dining experience across all dimensions. The private dining rooms looked inviting. The bathrooms were immaculate. Staff was highly motivated and relaxed providing excellent guidance on meal choices. Outstanding!

This was a disappointing evening for New Years Eve. We were seated way in the back by the kitchen door with lots of kitchen noise and an overpowering seafood smell. Our table was very wobbly and full of leaves from being outside in the fall season. The food was ok. Service was underwhelming.

As always, the food was excellent, and we always enjoy the upscale atmosphere in their dining room. Our server was good and as attentive as she could be given the large number of diners she was assigned to serve. The dining room was a bit noisy given the full house, and it was a bit chilly in the dining room despite the nearby fireplace. It almost felt like they were running A/C or an air exchanger on high. Great place to dine, though.

I would definitely come back here again! The food was fantastic. We were there on a holiday weekend Saturday, and it was crazy busy, but the staff was very professional, and very evidently hard-working. While our food was a little bit delayed, the quality was excellent and worth the wait.

We had reservations but still had to wait about 30 minutes to get seated. Our waiter was very soft-spoken so it was difficult to hear him. He was, however, very nice. The food was good. I would go there again in hopes that they were a bit more organized.

Stumbled upon this restaurant 2 years ago in a snowstorm. I remembered the walleye was delicious. Can back into the area recently and had to go back for the walleye. Food was great. Service was outstanding. Would definitely come back again and again.

Very nice accommodating staff, who were friendly and recommended some dishes. Love the atmosphere and my Salmon was excellent, and my cocktail was interesting and tasty.
