The place was slammed busy but they took really great care of my group celebrating my daughter’s graduation from Chapman University. Food great, sound level a bit high but quieted down as the meal progressed. Lovely surroundings while seated. Like being in a greenhouse a bit. Rather pricey but a great time all around.

Seated outside, although requested inside on OpenTable... it was a nice day, we had to have the umbrella opened up, the traffic is a bit much at times, sirens and honking, loud cars and motorcycle s but the food is DELICIOUS🤩

The food is absolutely delicious. Zero issues kitchen wise. Mainly service experience could be improved. Barely any attention shown by our server. We didn’t get our drinks which we ordered first until the end of our meal. When food was recieved no condiments given. When drinks finally came they tasted horrible we had to send them back. I would just get takeout next time the food was the only good part.

Food was tasty but service was slow and it took getting up to intercept the wait staff to get our check after being ignored for a solid 15-20 minutes.

Mother's Day service was horrible for what they charged. Took 20 min to get water, another 10 to get drinks. Buffett Brunch and plates were only cleaned up at the end. In the hour or so we were there only had server come by 2x and only b/c we asked the host for help. It was Mother's Day but they had way too many 2 person tables outside so it was empty but a crazy line b/c most parties where more than 2! $400 for 4 people and the food was average, it was probably a $40 buffet any other day. Oh well, probably won't go back but still a great day celebrating wife with the kids.

We came for the Mother’s Day brunch and was a somewhat underwhelmed. Our reservation was at 2pm but were not seated until 2:30pm. It’s Mothers Day so we understand it was busy. The more disappointing part was that the food was buffet style and it was all sitting outside. Probably because we were towards the end of the reservations, there were things that ran out like the lobster. We were a little weary that the seafood was sitting out in the open for awhile, especially the oyster (my husband tried it and he said while it was on a bed of ice it was still warm when he ate it). You can tell food was sitting out there for awhile because the cheese and meats were melting and sweating for the charcuterie area. I appreciated the eggs benedict and omlette station. While the servers were doing their best, we could tell they were understaffed. For the amount we paid for the buffet and not having everything available, it felt disappointing. We would have had probably a much better experience having regular lunch/dinner.

Do not, I repeat, do not opt for their event brunch. I picked a seating time way before end of brunch service so that I would not have the end of service food spread. However, even though there were empty tables, it took a long time to get seated. We pre-paid for the Mother’s Day brunch buffet but by the time we finally got seated, they were sold out of lobster claws, the raw oysters were not on ice and sitting out in the sun, the cold cuts and cheese were out in the sun turning grey, and everything was just not fresh. For $85 a person, this was a very disappointing experience for my first Mother’s Day meal. The front of house had zero communication other than “we’re busy” and you’ll get seated when you’ll get seated. The server was nice and seems apologetic the situation but unable to assist with food being sold out/not available. If customer prepays, the food options should be available until the very end, even for the customer seated last.

We went for Mothers Day and paid ahead of time. Our reservation wasn’t ready upon arrival and we stood outside for 30 min. The food was good but nothing special. Not a great overall experience for the high price tag. I would not go back.

The hostess and waitress delivered very poor performance on our Mother’s Day celebration. Short on staff as I see make the restaurant looks very poor manage. Seafoods were requested to bring out but nothing seen after 1/2 hr as I told it had to be requested to manager to be released 👎🏻 Hostess isn’t experienced and waitresses seemed to be rude but I understood it was because of the fast demand they had to climb upon the shorter personage. We put on the Conner of the outside sunroom without an umbrella while it was hot & sunny, after 1/2 hr checked in. All 7 people in our table agreed bad experience and wouldn’t come back. They took our payments of 7 including tips & taxes upon booking. Does it make a difference if I didn’t pay upfront which I will never do in the future unless it’s a Michelin one. This one isn’t deserve James Beard recognition!.

We attended the Sunday Brunch that was buffet style. It started out a bit shaky since it was Mother's Day and was backed up (we waited 15 minutes) and our indoor seat was not available, but our server David and the food more than made up for it. David went above and beyond, moved an umbrella for us, and was very attentive. The food is absolutely 5 stars. We will be back for dinner in the near future!

Wish they had more of a variety of food for the Mothers Day Brunch. It was highly overpriced for what they offered. And the 20 percent gratuity added automatically for a party of two was ridiculous!

I figured that what we pre paid for a Mother's Day buffet would justify the experience but between a rather indifferent hosting staff and a waitress that rarely came around (took 15 minutes and asking twice to get utensils for a party member), it was very much a miserable experience. I'll also add this was still before noon and only half the tables were occupied. To add insult to injury, there was an automatic 20% gratuity on every table, large party or not (ours was a party of 3). Definitely will not be returning.

Poppy and seed is such a lovely place to wrap up a fun Saturday evening. The ambiance is so relaxing and welcoming with the decor, fire and heat lamps. It’s so pretty at night with the stringed lights and all that’s going on around the outdoor patio (even Disney fireworks if you time it right.) The waitresses were very friendly, drinks are strong and the food is fresh. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Anaheim.

I wanted to like this place so much but I am sad to report It was pretty disappointing. The packing district and grounds are always fun to visit, and the vibe is great. The restaurant is nice. I love the indoor/outdoor vibe, and the bright light/windows. The staff was friendly. I was so looking forward to tasting many things on their interesting menu. We ordered a few appetizers and an entree to share. The white cheddar cheese dip was so bland it felt like they forgot the cheese. The sourdough eggplant toast was tasty but a complete rip off for the size of the dish. Together, they barely approached the size of one dinner roll. The ravioli was similar; we were given 5 raviolis and 2 pieces of spinach for 30 dollars?! And, that was an entree. The squash blossoms were probably the best thing we ate. Add our 8 dollar bottle of still water to the menu, and we paid over a hundred dollars for 5 bites of food each and a bottle of water. Don’t get me wrong, i’m not cheap. But if I am going to pay 20 dollars for toasts, I at least expect a full slice piece of bread. Overall this place was a solid “meh” for a whole lotta money. I’d say skip it, go back into the packinghouse and grab your grub, then find some outdoor seats to enjoy your dinner. You’ll get all the ambience, a more satisfying dinner, and for less than half the price. Heed my warning because otherwise you’ll prob end up in the packinghouse anyway looking for the rest of your dinner like we did.

The food and vibe was great! I hosted a baby shower there with a party of 8. The only feedback I’d give is that the service was a little slow for the 1st hour. Our water glasses and cocktails took a while to come out. Things improved once they had more staff come in during our final 2 hours.

The place is really, cute, loved the atmosphere indoors and out. The food was good, not amazing but definitely good enough. The service was great until we received our food and then she never came back to see if we needed anything else which we did. We needed catsup, syrup and salt. We had to keep flagging down others to help us. Plus we really needed water refills, not something we should have to ask for. So to sum it up, cute, fun place, good food, okay service.....

10s all across the board! This was my cousin and I’s first time here- EVERYTHING was incredible The food, the service, the staff, the atmosphere We are already looking forward to coming back! I highly recommend to arrive at 5:30pm opening like us so you can enjoy the amazing lighting and sunset

Absolutely delicious food! We had two different homemade pasta dishes and the amazing Brussels sprouts. Our server was super sweet and attentive. We can’t wait to go back.

Really underwhelming. I originally harbored really high expectations but was ultimately let down-- I don't really know how a place expects to earn michelin stars when: the front of house service is lackluster, food that the waitress say isn't a popular dish don't have enough servings prepped for the night, and to top it off the ambiance was really ruined by a group of rowdy drunks in the table next to us. Not even bib gourmand worthy in my opinion. Moreover what's the point in asking for requests on reservations if they're ignored regardless? I asked the hostess for inside seating and was put outside on a colder night--topping it off with one of the front of house turning off the heaters next to us despite me asking him to turn it back on (they stayed off). Cocktails and dessert were the only redeeming factor to an otherwise disheartening birthday celebration. I don't have the heart to rate places--especially BIPOC owned--1 star unless they've really earned it. Really hope others don't share my experience.

This is one of my new favorite places to dine! Each time that I have been here has been a good time. The wait staff are attentive, personable and offer great suggestions upon request. The food is top notch and so are the drinks.

It was our last night before traveling back to NC and it was the perfect way to end our vacation. Everything was fabulous!!! The servers were friendly, attentive and provided helpful info in pairing our selections. We had the squash blossoms, spaghetti carbonara, diver scallops, mushrooms and a thyme for time cocktail. Each dish was was wonderful. The mushrooms were our favorite. It was the best mushroom dish we have ever eaten. Would highly recommend!!!!

This place has it all. The staff is exceptional. The food is out of this world. A culinary delight. The ambience is vibrant. The tasting menu is a homerun. Portions are proper. Solid wine selections both by the glass and bottle. Great cocktail selection as well. If you have a sweet tooth you must order the Gelaro & Crispy Brown Butter Waffle. Don’t miss out.
