My husband and I had such an amazing brunch at this restaurant. The ceviche appetizer was fantastic. It has a very unique flavor (savory). The chicken and waffle lives up to its reputation. The real highlight of our visit was the service. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Niko. Niko provided incredible customer service. He was kind and welcoming and it was clear that he was sincerely proud to work at Poppy & Seed. I hope his management appreciates him the way he deserves.

I was excited about finally trying this restaurant and they did not disappoint. From the kind and warm hostess, to our very attentive and informative waitress. The decor was absolutely stunning. The food was delicious and I appreciated their imagination on some very common staples. We got an opportunity to sit in the garden and it was breathtaking, so much so I feel like I need to come back for dinner to see the space at night. Definitely a win!

Loved everything about this little bistro. It’s built in what seems like a greenhouse with flowers and plants around. I was told they actually grow a lot of the food they use around the restaurant. I had the best lobster roll of my life. Will definitely be coming back.

We were 30 minutes early for our reservation and the hostess didn’t seem pleased about it. There were plenty of seats available and she was able to seat us right away, but our first impression wasn’t great. She wasn’t very friendly from the beginning and didn’t even greet us or anyone on the way out. Service was extremely slow as you could tell they were very behind in the kitchen. Our server Jessie was great nonetheless and did his very best despite the backup. We orders the biscuit and gravy breakfast, avocado toast and a side of chicken wings. My eggs were way overcooked as I asked for over medium, and the biscuit was sliced in half and super flat and not very tasty. $22 for 2 eggs overcooked, one very flat hard biscuit and some greens doesn’t seem worth it. The avocado toast was good but didn’t look appetizing and it seemed as if the avocado spread was squeezed out from something. The wings were greayt. The French press coffee however was terrible. It was very weak and water downed despite us steeping it for a long while. There was not a complete setting of silverware on the table and we had to ask several times for condiments. The ambiance was very nice, but for being a Michelin star restaurant I expected way more.

Food was decent, not worth the price - service was almost non existent, took 45 minutes just to put orders in, got one refill of water in a 2 hour sit down only because we went out of our way to request. All in all over priced food, kind staff but not attentive / understaffed even though the restaurant was certainly not near seating capacity.

Expectations were high due to the reviews and comments from others. Staff shared they were “short staffed” which we understood. Every time we ordered something the wait time was 30+ mins even after asking for a follow up. 30 mins for water or a tea is excessive. Food came out cold without seasoning, and incomplete. Two items were missed from our order. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone or be returning.

When the host of the restaurant is dismissive and rude, it sets a really negative tone to the whole experience. No smile, no greeting, no nothing. The wait staff and the food on the other hand was fantastic. Fantastic enough to at least change our mood regarding our time there. Would I go back? No, simply because the host was really off-putting. Failed to acknowledge our arrival and our departure.

The place was slammed busy but they took really great care of my group celebrating my daughter’s graduation from Chapman University. Food great, sound level a bit high but quieted down as the meal progressed. Lovely surroundings while seated. Like being in a greenhouse a bit. Rather pricey but a great time all around.

Excellent- warm reception,greenhouse atmosphere inviting - David was fantastic- professional, hospitalable, knowledgeable - first class. Poppy & Seed know how to make drinks. Food was well executed and thoughtful- Delicious
