Very poor service really tainted our overall experience. Food was good and unusual but not inspired; combining novel flavors in the hopes of being creative doesn’t always work. And in this case the experience was both overrated and overpriced.

The indoor dining room is nice. But it gets noisier as families arrive with children. Eating outside on the balcony is much quieter and great when the weather is cooperating.

Such a wonderful treat to dine at Ponto Lago! The food is flavorful and delicious, and you can tell there is love, care and expertise that goes into each dish. Our servers Alejandro and Allie were excellent--warm and attentive. It's a beautiful space and the vibe is relaxed elegance. Highly recommend!

Food and service (Alejandro and Saeed) were amazing! We had swordfish, paella, and ribeye. Don’t miss out on the ceviche trio and incredible oysters from British Columbia!

Overall a great meal and service. Drinks from the bar were a little delayed but again overall it was great. Wish they would have opened up the curtains to enjoy the view better but understand the curtains block the sun in faces of other diners.

What a wonderful dinner experience last night for myself and 3 friends, Jacob, Jesse and staff were most accomodating, all the food choices were delicious Scallops, Iberico pork,Paella, mushrooms were among the top choices, but again all were Great ! Can't go wrong at this place, we all can't wait to go return Thx again to Jacob for making it a Great experience Gino

Very casual spot, Managers are dressed in street clothes. Severs have uniforms so it was confusing. Most guest are dressed super casual so not a fancy spot. Too many kids running around making a lot of noise. Feels like a Disney resort. Food was good, not great, but good. Had to wait to see the waiter at the end.

Menu is quite creative. All of the dishes we had were fabulous including chicken, filet mignon, sautéed mushrooms and churros with chocolate. Service is great. Restaurant is also used for breakfast so ambiance is nice but not terribly upscale in appearance

Everything was fine except that the Brussels sprouts were undercooked. We had a 7:30 reservation and we were surprised to hear a baby crying in the next table over more than once. Frankly this is quite RUDE!

Churros were the best thing on the menu. Everything else was ok, but not outstanding. It was quite pricey. There was a large party that had children that were Running and screaming. They had their own room but it was still very loud and distracting. Server was very nice.

Service was impeccable. Entire staff was top notch. Norma was an absolute delight . Our dinners were outstanding . Our branzino and filet were beautifully prepared . Open concept kitchen brought a beautiful drama to the stately dining room without any distracting noise . Beautiful property . We look forward to our next visit

My girlfriend and I always enjoy the octopus, and this time we shared the Branzino which is a delicious rendition of this fresh water fish. The sweat potatoes are an excellent side dish to round off the main course.

We went on Sunday for the Baja brunch.There was a great selection of food in case you have any picky eaters or folks with diet restrictions. I tend to eat on the real whole food side & had nuts,various cheeses,fresh melons,fresh berries,sliced meats,tri tip,sausage and shrimp w/ cocktail sauce. There was also salmon,paella,eggs,pork loin,potato’s au gratin,ceviche & more. I had to save room for a fresh crispy buttery croissant & homemade churro. The cherry on top was the staff! They were all helpful,delightful and pleasant,that may be weird to say but unfortunately I have found that has become rare these days.

Nice secluded table in corner and that was good and “bad”. Liked the ambiance, however out of the way enough to seem overlooked at times. The seafood paella had the coveted socarrat, the crispy rice bottom layer. It is unusual to get that in U.S. paellas since most think the paella is overcooked or burned. This one had it which added a delicious complexity to the dish.

We had the Sunday brunch which was excellent! They had a spread of cold items, salads, fresh fruits, and seafood... all delicious! The warm food was nice as well, though I did not love their paella. The best was their deserts.... the pastry chefs killed it! Probably the best Churros I have ever had! The service was excellent, and they had live music with a guitar player. The dining room is light and nicely decorated. The hotel grounds are very beautiful to take a walk around after eating.

Another great time with Friends from Wisconsin. Everything was perfect from the Arepas and the grilled Scallops and Octopus through the sides of mushrooms and sweet potatoes. Although we were very full we opted for the Churros as a shared de desert for the 5 of us!

Food quality was mix. Fish was bland and no taste. The Paella was excellent. Somehow the quality of taste has degraded as I have been there many times. This time I took my kids for my birthday and hype it up and all were disappointed. At the end of dinner, kids wanted to go eat at TJ Tacos for some adobadas.

Nothing to write home about. Food should be much better. On service they get an “a”except when I asked for lemons and I saw the front of the house gentleman go from one kitchen, grab lemons in his bare hands and carry it in his fist to the open kitchen area put it in a plate and give it to me. Gross! If you are going to have an open kitchen then be clean. Breakfast is an A+

Our dinner at Ponto Lago was exceptional. From beginning to end, it was an absolute treat. Specifically, Alejandro was very knowledgeable and a fantastic host. We are certainly looking forward to returning!
