We ended up having lots of other people (including a lot of kids) join at the last minute (without reservations) and the restaurant and our server were very accommodating and patient. Thank you again.

Delicious food and great service. The ambience was fun and lively. It was too noisy for us and the seating was very tight and not that comfortable, but we knew that going in. The experience was enjoyable despite that.

Delicious food for drinks. Service was excellent even though it got very crowded before we left. It seemed that the tables were too close for anyone to move around especially the waiter.

They didn’t keep a table for us… eventually seating us outside with people who hadn’t made a reservation… the heat lamp was broken… it was freezing… food was cold and dry and looked like it had sat on the plate for about an hour. Overall awful

Had 6pm reservations on a Friday but arrived about 20 minutes early. Taken to a high top table that would be shared with others not in our party. I asked if we could switch to a two-person high top instead which they accommodated. Server was friendly and knowledgeable. Ordered the totchos appetizer which would have been good if it was served hot (it was just barely luke-warm). Drink specials were good. Surprised that you had to ask for chips and salsa (it wasn't actually on the menu as an appetizer). Carne asada tacos were good. Overall good experience at a fun-themed and busy restaurant.

I visited Playa Betty’s two years ago and fell in love with the place. Coming back to New York from Sweden we went back on our first night. I still loved the food and the drinks, but the noice level was unbearable. Due to rhe loud music people were more or less screaming. It was impossible to carry any kind of conversation. Too bad.

Playa Betty's is always an enjoyable, tasty experience. We visited on Taco Tuesday, which is a phenomenal value for tacos and drinks. The place is lively but you can still have conversations without shouting, particularly if your table is on the perimeter. The service was terrific, even though the place was crowded. My favorites are the Al Pastor and Ahi Tuna tacos, the Caesar Chavez salad, and the Palomas. Delish!

Insanely crowded. We had to wait although we had a reservation. Our party of 4 had to share the very small pub-height table next to the food service window with another party of 4. Incredibly uncomfortable with barely enough room to eat.

I always have a lovely time going to PB! The servers and host/an are really nice and extremely accommodating. You can’t beat the guac and chips! I can only speak about the tacos, it’s the only entree I order - the short rib and al pastor, bomb! They have a pretty good happy hour and the drinks don’t disappoint.

Went on a Friday evening before a concert at the Beacon Theater. “Fun/high energy/casual ambience. (Music and conversation were loud). Food was really excellent from guacamole appetizer through tacos and burritos. Staff were warm, kind, and considerate and anticipated our needs. Looking forward to returning!

Made it clear that we were headed to a show. After ordering and watching tables sat after us get their food and leave before we even received our food, asked our waiter about our food. We had to re order from scratch as he had not entered our order. Had to then wait some more and then incorrect food was brought. No attempt to offer any compensation for poor service or the fact we were now late to the show.
