I was guided to my favorite spot, booth number 11, secured with the ease of an OpenTable reservation (highly recommended!), nestled in the heart of this beautifully decorated haven. The space itself was a symphony of thoughtful design – airy enough for easy conversation yet intimate enough to feel like a hidden gem. But the true star of the show emerged with the arrival of the Monday night special: Maki Monday. For a mere $27, a seemingly endless parade of maki creations began its delightful march to my table. Each bite was a revelation, a symphony of textures and flavors that played on the palate like a well-rehearsed orchestra. The Sunset Roll, a vibrant explosion of sweet potato, jicama, pistachio, and Meyer lemon, was a burst of sunshine on a plate. The Torched and Pressed, filled with the luxurious embrace of avocado and a touch of miso truffle glaze, offered a decadent whisper of indulgence. If you plan to celebrate your birthday here, don't expect anything special. For the extreme pricing, we expected something special from the restaurant. All other nice restaurants would provide some sort of dessert to celebrate 50 years on earth.

We enjoyed everything we ate. My favorite dishes were the Crispy Gyoza and the Udon Noodles. In fact the only thing I would not order again was Avocado Lime Tartare. It wasn't bad, it just paled in comparison to everything else we ate. The food is very satisfying. We ordered 6 dishes between the two of us and we took two dishes home. Our wait staff was friendly and professional. My only complaint was that they were out of quite a few things making ordering a bit difficult. The atmosphere is lovely. Not too loud and a beautiful setting. It was a bit of a splurge but well worth the price.

Loved every moment of our dining experience here! They held our table even though we were late. Our server provided excellent recommendations and we were genuinely impressed with each dish! If I had to pick one favorite it has to be the lettuce wraps. A-MA-ZING! Lovely decor, view and overall comfort. Will definitely be back again.

My friend and I enjoyed our lunch visit. Lovely decor and nice location on the marina. We didn’t order a lot of food but it was good. I would try the sushi on my next visit. I think it would be good to have more menu items

As a longtime resident of Marina del Rey (23 years!), I'd curiously passed by this recently opened gem (a few weeks old) on my Trader Joe's runs, but this time, thanks to a recommendation from my commercial real estate students, I decided to explore its fully vegan offerings. Maki Monday Magic: Their "Maki Monday" special caught my eye – unlimited Maki rolls for $27 starting at 5 pm! What a deal! Following my students' enthusiastic endorsement, I embarked on a delicious journey through their maki selection. The Dragon Roll, a delightful combination of flavors and textures, was the clear winner, though the Sunset Roll and the Torched Pressed Rolls offered their own unique appeal. Great food and beautiful interior! The best plant based place I have ever tried. The flavors are amazing and they have something for everyone. Def a must try. Service was good and attentive. The food is very creative and plated beautifully. And again the interior design is worth a visit all on its own.

The food was delicious but the service was lackluster. The restaurant seemed to be out of a bunch of things on their brunch menu that are pretty indicative of brunch. We were only made aware they were out of them after we realized they never showed up and questioned the arrival?

My third visit. Beautiful room and location. Some dishes are exquisite (eggplant unagi). Menu items are increasingly fried. Staff were ill informed and indifferent to my questions about a change to the loyalty program. Seems to be more “corporate”

Started off a little rocky with the hostesses. Server and manager were awesome and made up for the hostesses lack of friendliness. We ordered a lot and enjoyed everything. Crispy Mushroom Hand Roll 💕 Caesar Cups Dragon Roll Bang Bang Brocolli Udon Noodles 💕 Dulce Leché Cake 💕 Even the wine was delicious. Hearts next to our favorites.

A very beautiful, spacious restaurant with exceptionally delicious food. Every item had unique flavors that blended well together. I was surprised I enjoyed a plant-based restaurant as much as I did. Looking forward to going back very soon.

We booked online with OpenTable but our table was not ready when we arrived. The front desk girls were lovely. Quite frankly, they should have offered us a drink in the house with having to wait 20 mins for a table that was already booked. There were only four of us at lunch Food was good. Prices are high for what is a bunch of carbs and veg. Lovely presentation. The chopped salad was definitely not worth the price. No dressing and hardly Anything there - The noodles were fabulous. The drinks again were very expensive. Our server was polite but completely overworked so it was hard to get her attention when we needed something We would go back for happy hour

Not my first visit, and definately not my last. Restaurant, food, service, and ambiance is always excellent. Love the new items they showcase during different months. Have yet to try everything on the menu, but so far everything I've had has been excellent. Planta is a staple restaurant for my husband and I. And it makes it even better that its less than 5mins from our house.

Food is great but service is absent and inattentive. Expect to only see your waiter for initial order. Expect no employees to remove empty plates no longer how much they fill up the table. No one here wants to do the job of clearing plates. Expect to do acrobatics to wave servers if you want to order another drink. Food is great but the experience is ruined by lack of care and poor service.

As usual, food was outstanding. A bit pricey, but worth it for the delicious creative dishes and innovative approach to meatless cuisine. Staff is usually extremely attentive and accommodating. Give it a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

The plant-based food was amazing. I’m not vegetarian but I took my vegetarian daughter and we both enjoyed everything. We ordered the bang bang broccoli, crispy rice, crab tostadas, and udon noodles. I recommend them all and the noodles were my favorite. Lastly, we got the coconut cake for dessert and it was delicious! Oh, the interior decor and ambiance is beautiful.

Service is the most important factor for me when dining in on top of the great food and drinks. Server was not attentive and it was a very slow night with only a few tables. I still love the place and will be going back but hopefully they improve their service.

I'd seen a complimentary article w/ a photo in a magazine about the restaurant. It deserves the compliments. We came for lunch on a very rainy morning. But the sun came out brilliantly and it was a beautiful place to be. We ate indoors but had a wonderful view of the water and the boats. The waitstaff was very helpful with our order and even found me a BandAid when I needed one. I'd read reviews and followed the advice on ordering. We were very happy with our food and the atmosphere. We'll definitely come back and recommend it to our friends. It's a find.

We are not Vegan or Vegetarian but definitely adventurous with food and flavors and wanted a new experience for ourselves and guests visiting . The patio is gorgeous overlooking the Marina and the food is super tasty. The restaurant is beautiful inside too and cool looking bar. All four of us loved the flavors of everything we tried (Bang bang broccoli, croquettes, Guacamole, Queso dip, udon truffle noodle dish, quesadilla) My husband and I will return since we are local and happy to have this addition to the neighborhood.

Pre-made drinks are the downside of this restaurant, otherwise, very good plant-based creative cuisine. They wouldn’t even adjust a pre-made drink. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Service was slow at the beginning, but the manager made it up to Us and handled the situation really well!

From the atmosphere, to the quality of the food, to the amazing service I cannot recommend this place enough. Our server Ava made amazing recommendations and made sure we had everything needed to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Will be back for happy hour and to taste more of the delicious offerings.
