The food and service are extraordinary. Can't wait to go back. My one issue,... great music, just way too loud. It was a bit of a struggle to have a conversation.

Food was generally excellent (short ribs were a bit boring but the octopus, tuna, meatballs, eggplant and artichoke dishes were first rate). Service was friendly but slightly distracted--for example we were brought food before we received silverware or napkins. Also, oddly, the only non-sugar sweetener we received was Sweet & Low, which I haven't seen at a restaurant in a long time. Overall, though, I will definitely return.

Absolutely spectacular meal of inventive and flavorful small plates in a sophisticated yet casual setting with friendly and attentive service. My family of 5 enjoyed every morsel and could not believe the mastery of Plado’s chefs! The short ribs and tuna are an absolute must. We also loved fhe tortellini, eggplant, zucchini and brisket. Even the garden salad was unique and delicious! So happy we traveled downtown - it is worth every extra step and every penny. Thank you for a fantastic meal with my family!

Amazing experience. The food was stellar yet again and our overall dining experience was exceptional. I must thank the owner for accommodating our request to be seated in the downstairs area in the more private side room. Plado is the standard for hospitality and fine dinning on the lower east side.

Food was not particularly interesting. The cold cuts were very good but there is no cooking skill in serving that. The paella was salty and the flavor was 'uniform', you could not taste the seafood nor the chorizo, they seemed like covered by some spice. Ribs were ok. Drinks were acceptable but not memorable.
