The best Pizza in LA and I love the original one in Phoenix, too. However, the service could’ve been better on our last meal. We ordered a dessert item, which was highly recommended by our waiter and we didn’t like it. We told the waiter who asked what specifically we didn’t like about it, like he couldn’t understand that people have different flavor pallets and that this item didn’t agree with ours. It was a bit off putting bc he was so defensive about it…and it kind of ruined the dinner for us. We’re HUGE fans of the restaurant, but tonight was an off night and that happens.

My former worker colleague & graduate school classmate and I met for lunch on Thursday. We each ordered a pizza; my classmate ordered the Margherita & I ordered the Sonny Boy. The pizzas were excellent, but the pizzas @ their Phoenix location(s) tasted better, i.e., better red sauce. However, the Los Angeles location still served excellent pizzas. The service was excellent, and the noise level for lunch was minimal. Lunch was easier to obtain a reservation, as opposed to the evening. Since the place is small but has outside dining, large parties might pose a challenge to guests wanting to dine at nite. Chris Bianco uses the finest ingredients for his offerings. Maybe the tomatoes are better in PHX versus LA. My score: 4.8/5

So f’n delicious omg!!!! Brought a client who had no idea about this restaurant and was possibly wondering why I’d brought him to a ‘pizzeria’ until the food and wine started coming and all became clear… such a special place.

We came here Saturday on a recommendation. Made reservations via Open Table. We arrived, checked in, and were seated. We sat for a few minutes and were finally told by the waitress she would be with us shortly. It took another five minutes or more for her to finally come and take our drink order. They only have 2 choices of wine per "color" 2 whites, 2 reds etc. The rest were only by the bottle. I chose a glass Chenin Blanc. Besides wine, they have only one beer selection, and one cider. My partner chose the cider. The waitress comes back with my wine, and says the cider is in a can, and they were not chilled yet, so it would take 10 minutes. My partner changed it to the same wine I had. When that glass arrived, you coild tell there was a huge difference in color. I asked why mine had crystals floating, and the other was clear, she said I had the bottom of the bottle. I said it looked like it was frozen previously, and she assured me it was sediment. You could Definity tell there was a big difference in taste, Next, we ordered our food, we chose a pizza, and the pasta dish they had that day, which was gnocchi. The menu Clearly states you can add on different toppings, there were about 6 choices. We asked for mushrooms, then were told that because we ordered the Rosa pizza, the chef does not allow any changes, although it does not say that anywhere. Kind of ridiculous, it's a pizza. We changed our choice to the Wiseguy pizza. The pasta come, and it was literally the size of a small appetizer, though it was not listed as an appetizer. The gnocchi was good, but for that price it should have been larger. The pizza was really good. Overall, we spent over $100 on one small pizza, a very small plate of pasta, and 2 glasses or wine. Did not seem worth it, especially due to the poor, slow service. To make pt worse, I received an email from open Table stating I never made it for my reservation? They never checked us in. I was very disappointed and won't recommend it.

Bianco never disappoints! The seasonal antipasto is always a winner. Loved our Rosa and Margarita. We look forward to trying out the Somny Boy next time!
