Seated 45 minutes late with no proper apology from staff. Food did not arrive for over an hour. When asked about the food staff said they had other big tables upstairs. Food did not arrive all together as one of the meals had been burnt and had to be remade. Attempted to charge us the full bill including a service charge.

I used to eat at this restaurant every week. I have not been there for a few years. It was just as good if not better than I remember. Beautifully prepared reasonably priced food served by professional and polite staff. I would heartily recommend this restaurant.

Great service and starters. Sea food risotto far too lemony but great apart from that.

The service was exceptional even though very busy. Staff are friendly, helpful and very patient with children and elder guests. The food was outstanding and the menu had something to accommodate everyone’s taste in our large party. Would highly recommend Piccolino Liverpool to anyone

Ordered a lasagna and there was barely any lasagna to be seen just a bowl of sauce and my girlfriend ordered a pasta dish and the pasta was rock solid, supposed to be al dente but the pasta was crunchy. No sorry xx

We booked a table for 8.45pm. We were there earlier and had drinks at the bar. After 3 conversations with a manager we finally were seated at 9.25pm. So disappointing as we love Picollino

We were sat at table for two next to the stairs for the toilets and not very relaxing. Waited over 35 minutes for the starters to arrive despite asking how long our food would be. Did not receive one apology for the wait. The male head of house did not show any customer service and clearly did not want to be there. Starter and main was nice but portion size was very small. Duck leg and 3 broccoli tender stems for £25 is expensive. Would not recommend.

We were a party of four staying in Liverpool for a long weekend and although there was a delay on our main course arriving the food was excellent. We really enjoyed our visit to Picolinos Liverpool

Worst service ever had here. We waited over an hour for our food and when it eventually came out after asking where it was it was cold . Side ordered of chips came out 5 minutes after the main was served and we were never offered black pepper or Parmesan cheese for our pasta dishes. As a family we have dined in this restaurant for over 15years and never had such awful service.

We felt very crammed in where we were positioned in the downstairs area of the restaurant, no privacy, other diners too close, not the relaxing, special experience we were expecting, especially as it was our birthday treat. Service okay, food okay but wife’s cod was only lukewarm although the rest of the food was hot. We were asked by two members of staff if everything okay and they were both informed of the situation, they said they would advise the chef and did offer to redo it but we were tight for time, so didn’t take them up on the offer. We did expect not to be charged for the cod but it wasn’t and nothing was offered in way of explanation. Overall disappointed and not what we expected or hoped for. This experience has put us off visiting again.

Food took over an hour to come, came out separate so didn't get to eat meal together! One plate was cold and had to go back, another plate was under cooked, but eaten as we were on a time scale

My husband was told to order his meal in Italian & made to feel stupid. Carbonara was burnt & we were told that was how it was supposed to taste. Nobody came to ask about desserts until we called them over after 30min Dessert hadn’t come after 20min & when we asked they realised ut hadn’t been ordered. We used to be secret diners for this restaurant group so we know what the standard should be, sad to see this venue has fallen so far below what used to be an exceptional standard of food, service & experience @ £163 for 4 of us for 2 courses this was a very expensive lesson to learn

My friend and I went for club friday-:2 courses and a drink for £25.00 - we enjoyed our food - only criticism was that a couple of the mains were off the menu at that time but we still enjoyed our mains. The waiting staff were very attentive and efficient. Would definitely go again.

Monday afternoon so it was very quiet and managed to get our table early. We had the lunch menu 2 for £20, the service was good and quick. The food was lovely but if you do like a good portion size then do order off the main menu as the lunch menu is small plates. The nutella cheesecake was spot on and finished the experience off nicely.

Service was poor. The waitress was unnatentive. We asked 4 times for drinks and was not asked if we wanted anymore drinks either when our glasses were empty. Also didn’t ask if we wanted a dessert either.

I requested a quiet table being Autistic to be put in a corner surrounded by 2 large groups of loud people at 1730pm not really the dining experience I wanted. I stipulated I was Autistic and appreciate if I had gone at 1900pm it would be noisy however the waitress also to loud calling us hi guys all the time which I personally hate with all these American influenced training in restaurants is nauseating. The person who took my order Was clearly not aware I was Autistic or wouldn’t have been as loud as the people I was surrounded by. I may sound fussy however a meal in a good restaurant is supposed to have a good ambiance and not able to hear the person your with was a real negative to the meal The food was good however ruined by the comments I made I’ve been to Piccolino Liverpool 10 days earlier and was a good meal and atmosphere and aware of my Autism and sat me in right place attentive but not to much the reason I went back.

From our records we can see that you were seated at the back of the restaurant as the only other tables available were more central therefore, on a Saturday I can guarantee was the quietest place. Waiters are always informed of booking messages however due to being a busy weekend it is possible that this note was not paid attention to and for that we would like to apologise. We hope that this does not prevent you from dining again in the future with us and we will be happy to inform you how busy the restaurant is if you call ahead on the day of your next visit.

I am a regular diner at Piccolino. On Wednesday I was with some visitors from Holland. The food and wine were excellent. The service (thank you, Miriam !) was outstanding. My friends were most impressed. See you next Wine Wednesday. Highly recommended

Lovely restaurant but disappointed in their GF options. No GF garlic bread which I think is a very basic request. If you sell GF pasta you should sell GF bread to go with it.

We have currently been experiencing issues with our suppliers with lots of items being out of stock hence the lack of gluten free pizzas and garlic breads. Condescension and lack of attentiveness from staff in what is in effect a slightly elevated Pizza Express. Service at San Carlo around the corner was the real thing.

We attended Liverpool for my daughter’s 18th birthday. The meal was absolutely beautiful- no complaints on the quality and taste. The service was great. If there was one negative, it would be that some of the main meals were a bit small. They were ok if you have had a starter, but some of our party of 9 didn’t have starter and were left feeling hungry. It wasn’t a cheap meal, it was a bit expensive, however we didn’t mind paying, as food was lovely. (However the duck for £24 odd could have had some sort of potatoes on it to make it a proper meal!) Overall a pleasant visit, wouldn’t put me off going again for a special occasion

Great location. Overpriced on some items. Wine very expensive. Inconsistent cooking of steaks, people who asked for the same grade there was a great difference.

We are saddened to see that we were not able to rectify the situation regarding steaks which resulted from only some of the members of your party enjoying the experience. Had a nice evening not too busy couple of drinks at the bar then sat down for our food and a bottle of wine all served by Vittorio Tomasz and Hannah xx

A last minute booking but overall a great service. Food was very tasty, colourful and fresh. I’d go back and it’s restored my faith in the brand
