Picturesque Ilkley is a former spa town situated to the South of the Yorkshire Dales. Ilkley is renowned for its fresh air, moorland, and beautiful countryside. Piccolino, an authentic Italian Restaurant, is a proud fixture of the Ilkley dining scene. Ideally situated on Brook Street, Piccolino in Ilkley boasts an open kitchen, cocktail bar, and year-round outside terrace with a fully retractable roof, for the ultimate alfresco experience rain or shine!
We visit the regions, meet the producers and are committed to sourcing the best quality ingredients. Our passion for provenance is at the forefront of our menu, which incorporates the best and freshest seasonal produce, Italian cheeses, meat and seafood.

Think we hit on a bad night. The waiters and waitresses seemed more interested in messing about with each other, quite a few things on the menu were not available, we had to wait ages between courses and the food was just not that good. Very disappointing!

*my friend and i ate on the roof top as the sun was out, and it's a great venue, and as always excellent service, loevely attentive staff, however, i have dined here many many times over the years, crikey i roughly estimated about 5 times a year since it opened , so probabaly fair to say well over 60 times, and this was the worst meal i have ever had there, i do not like to be negative, and i won't elaborate , but hopefully someone with some input at Piccolinos will read this and take note, there's a lot of competion in Ilkley now, and you need to up your game , you can't afford to rest on your laurels.

Came to piccalinos with the work lot. I’m not one to order a chicken caesar salad but piccalinos do the best! When it came it had completely changed and wasn’t nice at all, so I sent this back. The member of staff said they had changed the menu, why change something when it didn’t need to be? Ruined my experience as I usually love the food!

A warm welcome whenever we go it’s our favourite place. Food good drinks a bit pricey. I don’t want to just drink water though!!!

Food was very overpriced for what it was. The pasta didn’t taste fresh and we got ragu which was minced beef.

We love Piccolino's - food is always great. The atmosphere on the roof terrace is brilliant. The service was a little slow on Saturday night, but it was very busy. We don't mind that too much, but it's always better to tell us, rather than we have to chase. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Ilkley.

Didn’t catch his name but our server/bar man was exceptional and this review is just as a thank you to him. He went above and beyond for my friends birthday and it was very much appreciated.

But if a mix up with table on arrival - staff not sure where we were to be placed. Manager who was always very friendly on previous visits made me feel unwelcome.

Shown promptly to our table, the service was great, didn’t wait too long for our drinks or food. The wine was very good and the food was delicious. We were lucky to have a money off voucher so that was an added bonus to the end bill! Overall a lovely evening

The starters were lovely especially the calamari. The service was also good and the staff friendly. The main courses were underwhelming- we ordered two prawns with chilli, wine etc for mains and the texture of the prawns was soft which was disappointing when the cost was £27. We asked for replacements which were provided without any fuss. The pasta dishes were quite tasteless across the three different ones that we tried.

This is our favourite restaurant we try and come once a month. It is expensive BUT we don’t mind paying for something that makes us smile and come away satisfied

Lunch was amazing. Family party. We all thought the food was absolutely delicious. Service incredible lovely waitress really friendly and courteous. Overall a very pleasurable experience. Will definitely go again

Ate on the terrace - a lovely setting, The waiter was attentive and very efficient. We both had Pizzas which were lovely and baked perfectly.

We have dined at this restaurant a number of times over the last 15+ years and have always enjoyed the experience. Upon first arriving this time we immediately noticed the restaurant did not look as inviting as it had on our previous visits. This may sound like a small detail but the restaurant has always had warm white fairy lights throughout the restaurant which created a lovely, cosy atmosphere whatever the time of year. We were seated by the floor to ceiling window downstairs looking directly onto the main road with cars and pedestrations walking past, no blinds, lighting etc. Such a shame. We also noticed that the portion sizes of some of our choices had reduced since our last visit whereas the prices have gone up. The food was however still delicious with plenty of options to choose from. The toilets, including the accessible facilities downstairs are in desperate need of a revamp as they have been for a number of years. There were none of the familiar staff there however all the current waiting staff were friendly and helpful. To sum up, the food is still lovely and we did enjoy our visit however I personally feel that Picollino in Ilkley no longer feels as special as it previously did and for the prices charged, there are plenty of other restaurants to try next time we enjoy a meal out.

Unfortunately the place was hosting a private party for teens. The gangs of kids in the loos and staggering through the restaurant was unfortunate.

Sat on the rooftop terrace, really great atmosphere, good music, amazing food (fillet stake was amazing), great service and nice staff. Highly recommend.

We were a table of 9 so expect slightly slower service but actually it was very good. The only reason for lower ratings is that we were not offered a desert or coffee. The restaurant at that point was very quiet so really dont understand why. Disappointing end.

Me and my Partner came to piccolino on Friday 1st March for an evening meal. The service was absolutely appalling and the staff were so unorganised. We had to ask multiple times for drinks, and they forgot to order some of our food. We are a regular customer especially to the other branches, but will not be retuning. We wanted to complain to staff, but after multiple attempts to get the staffs attention, we decided it wasn’t worth it. Wasn’t worth the £90 bill. Will be avoiding in the future.

Really enjoyable atmosphere, eating on the roof terrace, cozy & relaxed. We didn't realise there would be live music, so a lovely surprise. The food was delicious, great wine selection & welcoming & fun service. Great place for a special occasion.

We’ve eaten in Piccalinos a few times but always Harrogate. The Ilkley restaurant just wants a little bit of fine tuning. Food was good, but the restaurant looked like it needed a bit of TLC.

Delicious food & great service. The only thing which would have improved the experience would have been a finger bowl as my fingers were vey sticky from peeling the amazing prawns. A lovely place to celebrate a birthday with family.
