This is my go to restaurant. I go at least twice a month with friends, family or loved ones. The service is always impeccable, the staff is so kind, food is the most authentic Italian I have had in New York.

Food quality gone down a bit imo maybe was just a bad day. They were playing like pitbull for background music which is not really what you go for at small “authentic Italian” place. The bread went down in quality too from a couple months ago. Maybe I just overhyped it before going in.

I appreciate that the staff is attentive and well trained. The space on Thompkins Street is a little tight, but the food and service are first rate. The music amps up as the evening wears on, and it makes it more difficult to talk - this may be by design to move the tables and get a better turnover. Please turn it down - we promise we'll leave when dessert is done.

Tried to charge a $35 cake fee for bringing in two outside cupcakes due to a gluten allergy. A server then proceeded to raise her voice at me with her hands in my face when asking about the charge. Loved this restaurant, but never going back now. Also terrible wait times.

Great food, excellent service. The only thing was that we were seated near the door, and every customer/rider was a cold air right into our table. Very noisy table with Italians near our table. But our spanish waiter was great and it was a pleasure to enjoy the piccola cucina meals.

Okay experience. Took too many reservations at once. I along with others we’re stuck waiting outside for a table. I was seated 30 minutes later than my original reservation time. ambiance is loud. servers are nice.

The food was great. The appetizers were awesome and the waiter was very friendly and helpful. We found reasonably priced wine options. The music was a bit too loud for my taste, but I would say it may work for most people.

The food was delicious, and service was excellent. My only complaint is that the place is tiny and gets so packed that it feels like sardines in a can. The tables are tiny, and it is hard not to bump into neighbors' shoulders or waiters walking around. It would really help removing a couple of tables to create a better customer experience

I had a lovely late lunch with friends. Everything we chose from the extensive menu was delicious. Service and atmosphere were great. The only negative was the noise level, which was quite loud, even at 2:30.

Really lovely. We had a party of four. Food was delicious and our waitress was very accommodating (we had some food allergies in the party). We had the burrata and a delicious bruschetta with cherry tomatoes that I didn’t see on the menu but the was on the next table. Fire. The pastas were all done perfectly. Prices seemed reasonable for NY. Just a great meal.

Great food. Ambiance is energetic, but that's OK. The tables are small and tight. The waitresses come to check on you a bot too many times - they really want you to be out within 2 hours.
