Our party arrived a little early, but we were seated nearly immediately, and our waiter quickly introduced himself and took our initial drink orders. After ordering a bottle of wine and a couple of cocktails, the Paloma being a standout, we ordered our meal. I opened with a Caesar salad that included anchovies, a delight for me, though it didn’t include any croutons, which I always appreciate for the texture. My main dish was a Salmon piccata, with the perfectly cooked piece of fish resting atop a bed of spinach and white beans. My wife ordered the Sweet potato-crusted trout, served with a lemon cream sauce and tomato crudo tagliatelle pasta, which I preferred over my dish. Others at the table opted for the Eggplant parmesan and a Lasagna, and both were predictably excellent. We ordered a tiramisu to go and enjoyed it later that evening, and I can say it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and the ambiance created a comfortable experience for our family to enjoy a Saturday dinner.

The food was outstanding! My wife ordered the sweet potato crusted trout. The fish was perfectly cooked and the pasta was a great compliment. I ordered the cioppino. The broth seasoning was on the money (tarragon finish!). Great compliment to the mussels and clams. One more thing that is a must is the bread dipping oil. The bread was great and the dipping oil was the best concoction that I’ve ever tasted!

Our server was great. She was attentive and sweet. The food however was just ok. It wasn’t anything spectacular and didn’t have real Italian flavor. I had the chicken mattone and my husband had the ciopino. We would go back but definitely order something else.

I went on a Monday night so the atmosphere was quaint and quiet, barely anyone in the restaurant. Our server was on top of EVERYTHING. He was swift and fast, and the food was absolutely delicious. I’m dying to go back to try other things from the menu. A great place if you’re looking for something not too upscale but enough to where you can dress up and treat someone.

Our party of 5 had a lovely time; all were very pleased with the food and the menu. Sat outside on a nonbusy night so it was not noisy; our waiter Steele was experienced and attentive. We had not been there since they remodeled inside and decided we need to go back more often!

I hadn’t been at Piatti’s in the quarry since it reopened. It has improved, like the new menu. Food was very fresh and tasty. Excellent waiter, very knowledgeable and caring.

Piatti at the Quarry Market is one of our regular places to go for a relaxing, gourmet quality meal experience. On this occasion, we had made a 6:30PM reservation and arrived right on time. We were seated quickly but were disappointed to find all the booth style seating was full. We were given a choice of high top or regular table seating and chose the regular. Overall it’s fine, but the chairs at the low tables have a back rest that isn’t comfortable to lean back against. Oh well; time for good posture. It’s a minor thing but we noticed it since the remodel. We were greeted by our server, Steele who made us feel very welcome, explained the off menu items and got our beverage orders started. Over the time we were there we enjoyed Italian wedding soup, Caesar salad, sweet potato trout and meatball appetizer. We finished up with the flourless chocolate torte and chocolate gelato. Everything was perfectly prepared and arrived with good timing. Steele was the star is the show. Very personable, very respectful and spent a little time getting to know us but also gave his honest opinions on menu items we asked about based on his own preferences and experience. Overall another great evening at Piatti.

Not impressed at all. Quite frankly, if you’re looking for a quiet but nice atmosphere, delicious Italian food, a HUGE nicely decorated place, outstanding service, awesome wine and dessert selection for a fraction of what you will pay at Piatti, then go to Pompeii Italian Grill which is 100 times all-around better that Piatti. Server was great though!

Ate lunch for Easter. Flatbread was just ok, sourdough Ciabatta was just ok- the last time we ate here the bread and dipping oil was free, the Caesar salad had too much dressing, the Lemon Ricotta ravioli was under cooked, the Pasta Bolognese was a little dry and the Easter cookies were a little dry and lacked flavor. The server did a very good job.

We had the world’s best server - Ricardo. I was worried because our reservation was for 8:30 due to my work schedule. The person who greeted us said we had to have our entire order in by 9:00 and I immediately felt pressured and rushed. However, our kind and professional server assured me that I didn’t have to rush. He answered all of our questions and was very gracious. He did not rush us and gave me a dessert for my birthday. He helped me relax and my husband and I had such a good experience that my husband asked me if he could go there for his birthday. The only slight discomfort was an extremely loud party of four. One woman was very loud. Not the restaurants fault. Thank you, Piattis.

Our server made some great recommendations. I had the Chicken mattone and my husband had the Sweet potato crusted trout. Our kids had pizza . Everyone was satisfied with their meals. We will definitely go back .

Piatti is my absolute favorite restaurant in San Antonio. The short rib with polenta and salsa verde satisfies my taste buds every time! I move out of state in a few months and this restaurant is the #1 thing I’ll miss from San Antonio.

We haven’t been to Piatti since the remodel. We were pleasantly surprised after hearing negative comments about the new menu. The eggplant parmesan was delicious and our waiter was outstanding. We will be back!

Interesting and delicious food. Our server, Jesse, and the staff were kind and helpful. The food came out quickly too.

We arrived to our 3 reservation. One of our family members had trouble finding restaurant. We were seated and greeted by 4 people at the table. The manager, 2 other waitresses and finally the one that was our server. I believe it was a shift change. Either way, that was fine. The server we had was short rushing us on our decision of which wine we wanted. We were taste testing to see if we wanted a bottle verses glass. She brought us 2 samples. My aunt was still testing her pallet on the second sample and she took the glass before my aunt decided. You could feel her rush for us to order. Throughout the time we were there she was NOT ever friendly regardless of my aunt being extra nice saying sweetie and thank you and all of us being nice for that matter. We had to ask her for Parmesan and cracked pepper for our entrees. She acted like she was bothered. Just terrible service and I feel terrible because I picked the restaurant. We waited for 20 min to get our bill and watched her talk to bartender walk around and took her time bringing the bill. Her excuse was the system was down. She did not try to get on the system until we had to say excuse us as she walked by never looking at us. She was so rude and was rolling her eyes her tone was rude all over horrible experience. We asked to speak to a manager and he really did not care we ALL three felt this way, there was a meeting in room next to where we were sitting and maybe 6 people in the restaurant eating. There is no excuse for her to have taken 20 min and I felt he could have made us feel like she was in the wrong. I just feel like it was no care and want to let someone know who cares about reviews and word of mouth about what happend. My parents have lived in Olmos Park for over 25 years and said there is new management. Well, NEW is not always better for sure and honestly I am very upset still for what we had to experience Saturday afternoon.

They should not have messed with the original concept of this restaurant, which delivered quality food in an attractive upscale trattoria. Our server was wonderful, but the food was cafeteria fare at best. Bar service was good, but my pino grigio was served way too warm. 😕

Decided to try someplace new for our anniversary, and glad we did! I had selected ‘anniversary’ in the open table reservation tool. When we arrived and were seated, they welcomed us with a glass of champagne on the house, having noticed my note in the reservation. Our waiter was awesome annd extremely knowledgeable of the menu. My 8,9,and 10 year olds were all very happy with the flexibility and options off the kids menu. All of the food was fresh and delicious! Looking forward to returning.

Terrible service who didn’t seem to care. Cheese board was a sub par waste of money. Thank goodness their pasta dishes are very good with unique flavors. Ambiance is nice.

Food was good. Atmosphere was great. Lighting and sound was great. Service was well above average. Prices were a bit high for what it is and the portion sizes that you get. Menu is a bit lacking in regards to being able to understand what you're ordering, how much food it is, and what it looks like. It was a good experience overall, but I think they could really benefit from pictures in the menu of the plates and lowering their prices a tad. $16 for a few small stuffed mushrooms and $13-20 for kids meals is a bit excessive. Would recommend and even go back, I just think they could improve in these areas a tad.

Unfortunately, the restaurant appeared under staffed and unprepared to handle a full volume. Our waitress never kept us informed of delays and didn’t work to compensate the 1 hour + delay of our entrees. The manager seemed exhausted. We were not the only ones complaining. Our meal was comped but that is because we didn’t get to eat. My pasta was sent back because it was cold. Then, when it was warmed up the pasta was severely undercooked. Finally, I found hair in it.

The food was bland and the wine selections weren’t worth the prices. I did have a good time being it was Valentine’s Day but our service was a little slower than it could’ve been.
