Lesfoned learned…when fining early (4:45) expect a lot of tables with young kids. All were really well behaved, but the noise level goes up a bit with a lot of young kids at surrounding tables. Not a bad experience, just a hint so you know what to expect

Food was excellent as well as the service. The hostess came over to take our picture without being asked as it was a birthday.

We dined at Piatti for my son’s confirmation. The restaurant was very busy as a result. The service was incredibly slow. We were seated for over 20 mins before our server came to our table. We placed drinks orders, waited a very long time for them and had to request someone come take our food order. This did not happen for a long time. Eventually this was spotted and a lady (don’t think she was a server) came to take our order. On a positive note, the food was delicious and we were given some complimentary deserts to compensate for the wait. Although the service was disappointing on this occasion I would still return.

It had been raining most of the day yesterday, when I met two friends for lunch to celebrate a birthday. Obviously, nothing keeps people away from Piatti, not even a rainstorm. The place was packed, not even one empty table. As usual the food was fantastic, and our server Zachary was extremely attentive. Can't ask for anything more!

Petrale sole was wonderful!!! The total meal was wonderful and appreciated the birthday tiramisu!!!! The bread was not as fresh and warm as usual though!!! We always ❤️Piatti’s!!!

We had the chicken parm and iron steak, they were both very good as were the sides that accompanied it. We had the tiramisu for desert and it was excellent. The service was good, they seem to have turned over the staff from the old pro's to younger people so it was not as attentive as it has been in the past. Overall still a good date night restaurant.

Overall the experience was good. We had an attentive waiter and the entrees were good. I ordered the pork chop which was great but the mista salad was disappointing. It had way too much dressing which made the lettuce soggy. There were also far too many cucumbers and radishes for a salad that size. It was a busy night and the noise level was high...especially with tile floors amplifying the sound.

As you would expect in a fine restaurant, excellent service, never lacking. Excellent food and beverage selections and wait staff always there when you needed them without being rushed to vacate the table. Always a pleasure to dine at Piatti

Always great food and service. Was a bit unexpected this round when I was going to pay the tip on my card, (split check), and the server asked my business partner if she “really didn’t want to leave a tip?” Relax. We’ve got you.

Met a couple of my lifelong friend there We had a great time. Hadn’t seen them in years. Piatti’s is a classic. Always better than you think it’s going to be. Service is spot on. Tasty wines to choose from. Abundant searing options. It’s my go to restaurant in both Danville and La Jolla shores. Well done Piatti’s.

The food is very good and highly recommended. Our waiter was personable and friendly, but we were half way through dinner before he remembered our wine. We will be returning soon.

For dessert we always choose the tiramisu. Half sizes of the beet salad and pasta entrees were adequate and very satisfying.

What happened to our pasta? This place used to be one of my favorite Italian restaurants in East Bay for over many years. Piatti used to offer amazing fresh pasta dishes. Even a simple spagetti with meat balls used to be so good that you would not mind paying for $60-$70 per person for dinner (without wine). I am not sure what happened in the kitchen yesterday, but our dinner at Piatti yesterday was very disappointing. Meat balls tasted like those ones from the microwave-heated pasta you can buy from Safeway, and even all my guests also stopped eating their pasta after having a few bites. Service was excellent as usual, but the food quality was not. I might give another try next time, as Piatti has been my favorite for over 12 years since my first visit. Perhaps yesterday someone did not used the restaurant’s traditional ingredients and/or did not follow the cooking instructions from head-chef?!?

I was not satisfied with my service on this day. AT ALL. Waiter seemed a little off and during our lunch dining experience of about 75 minutes, we were continually asked if we wanted a wine refill - asked by waiter, manager, server, and busboy at different times. We felt very pestered by staff on this visit to Piatti. Felt like they wanted us to eat and leave. There were vacant tables in the restaurant the whole time we were there. We still had half a bowl of salad left on the plates and the waiter kept coming by asking how we're doing, for the 2nd or 3rd time. Finally, when we were leaving and at were passing by the front desk, the waiter stopped us there to ask if someone had come by and processed our bill as he was scrolling through his electronic ordering tool. I told him the payment was on the table. ??? He made it seem like we were trying to cut out without paying. The whole experience was very uncomfortable. We NEVER felt welcomed on this visit to Piatti!

Took the Brussels sprouts off the menus and the bread pudding the main reasons we would go there. They now charge for the bread for the table and add an extra tax to the bill. It’s ok but just not worth the price anymore

Wonderful lunch. Eddy gave great service and allowed us to have a leisurely lunch We decided to split the spinach salad and mushroom pizza….perfect to share and enough to bring some home! Plenty of parking and right off 680. Highly recommend!
