Phuc Yea offers a selection of shareable plates that capture the soulfulness and passion behind family-rooted recipes, the restaurant is inspired by Aniece Meinhold's Vietnamese heritage and Cesar Zapata's Third Coast culinary roots. Under one roof, guests are invited to marvel at Biscayne's blossoming Mimo District; embrace 90's hip-hop, street-cool music; and enjoy Cesar's version of Viet- Cajun cuisine - a lively mash up of fresh and colorful Vietnamese ingredients pumped up with spicy, bold Cajun flavors. This grown up version of Phuc Yea is largely seafood driven.

Brunch features a dim sum style menu that highlights classic American brunch preparations. It is at brunch, Chef Zapata will feature his Gulf and Southern influences more prominently while still integrating Vietnamese breakfast tradition.

Our server was the most exceptional, prompt, and courteous server we had encountered at Phuc Yeah! I am forever grateful for her kindness and her attention. The food unfortunately did not meet our expectations with every plate. Our first time there, phuc yea had an EPIC sushi roll with shrimp and pork, which they switched up the second time into a lack luster spring roll with MINIMAL pork or shrimp. Second, I have never felt so ripped off as having a bao bun, which is usually with pork there and is amazing, with a fried piece of broccoli instead. It was a cool flavor, but what a rip off to charge 18 bucks for two pieces of fried broccoli inside a bao bun and truly insufficient material to dump inside a bao bun. Besides that, the other plates were amazing. The spicy dumplings, the ceviche (was even more delicious with the left over spicy dumpling sauce), the masitas de puerco, the oxtail, and the black cod (SO DELICIOUS) were phenomenal. They were able to make up for the two lack luster plates. The desserts were hit and miss. The coconut crossaint bread pudding was okay, but nothing special and very bread heavy. The carrot cake though..... Was out of hand. Wow, we were so glad we did the bread pudding first, and finished off with the 5 spice carrot cake. In the end, the meal was great, and the mistakes I made would have been avoided has I confirmed what exactly was inside a broccoli bao (no meat), and a crispy imperial roll (spring roll instead of sushi roll) because their descriptions are a bit vague and can be misinterpreted. We will definitely be back to eat again!!

Food is delicious. We had Oysters, PY noodles, Black Cod, Ceviche and Papaya salad. All wonderful. The over all meal was full of fresh seafood that was wonderfully prepared with the bright notes of acid and citrus you expect from Veitnamese food. But plates were small. Prices high for the size. Waitstaff was incompetent and the place is very small and loud.

Bartender was cursing loudly, menu read limited because the chef wasn’t there so we could only order on happy hour menu. Service was decent but sadly we didn’t get the experience we wanted.

We went with a bachelorette party of 9 and ordered lots of different menu highlights and they were all amazing. No one had a less than excellent dish or drink. And the staff was so nice!

Excellent all around. Several years passed between our recent visit and it’s only gotten better. Vietnam meets uniquely Miami Latin American dishes. Think Pho with tostones. The bone in short rib is amazing as are the scallops and everything in between. Cool vibe with good music and several different dining areas. This time we won’t wait long to go back.

The food was good. The restaurant and music was so loud that we couldn’t hear our server. Our watermelon salad came out, then the sweet potato… but the short rib took forever. We thought we would get all the food at once to enjoy it together. Would recommend to a friend but get an early reservation if you want to enjoy conversation.

Joined for diner on Friday night. Everything is made to share, that the dishes are expensive sure, however when they lack flavor and are small.. that’s disappointing. Overall service was good.

I haven't been here in a few years but it was as fun and delicious as I remembered. The shrimp and pork dumplings (5 to an order)were such a good way to start. They clearly had a kick to them - but in such a good way. We followed with the scallops (4 to an order) - really delicious. The PY noodles were great tasting... and a plentiful portion for four people to share. And the best was the short ribs - with the baobao buns and pickled veggies. That was terrific. The server suggested a min of two plates per person but that would have been way too much food. The dining area is pretty loud. - in a good way, but still makes hearing one's dining companions a challenge. I would highly recommend and will be looking forward to going back before too long.

The food was delicious and our server was very friendly, but we were completely rushed out of the restaurant - told it was last call just as our entrees arrived, mopping the floors before we even finished our dessert and finished our drinks (!). It was barely 9:30 pm at this point. The kitchen was also out of a lot of dishes, which tells me they are either on the decline or just stopped caring. Staff seemed very disorganized, if well meaning. Overall we did not receive a very warm welcome and were made to feel like we were inconveniencing the staff - not a nice feeling when we're dropping as much money as we were.

Phuc Yea never fails to deliver the BEST food, quality well worth every penny! The staff is courteous and fun, as well as vey attentive. I would recommend Phuc Yea without hesitation to anyone who wants a unique culinary experience and a wonderful evening out. This was probably my 40th time eating at Phuc Yea and I look forward to doing so for many years to come.

We live in the area and drive by everyday , I can’t believe we never ate at this AMAZING restaurant until now! Every thing we ordered from the spicy dumplings, spring rolls, fried rice and Cornish red hen COMPLETELY INSANE!!! Can’t wait to go back

A Must Stop in Miami! The Short Rib Bao is off the chain! We also has some great drink that the bartender recommended. The staff is really great and friendly, they care about your experience!

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times because the food is always delicious however the wait staff is horrible. We were one of only 3 tables in the whole restaurant and we couldn’t get any of the waiters to pay attention or properly wait on our table as they were too busy talking to and playing around with the other employees. I’ll never go there again as service is a huge part of a night out.
