We have always enjoyed the Peking Duck at Philippe Chow, it was again the best! The chicken satay skewer is typically excellent but this time had too much peanut sauce. The dumplings are always the freshest and excellent. The crispy beef was too greasy and I would not recommend. The lobster fried rice was underwhelming. We had excellent lychee martinis. One of the rooms is very loud so if you want to talk at your table, choose a seat to the left.

Let’s just say that Philippe Chow is an absolute embarrassment to Chinese culture. In all honesty, Panda Express produces far better food. We ordered fairly basic but how can you rightfully charge $32 for chicken and broccoli that was flavourless and the chicken was so over marinated in corn starch. Now if you want to eat American Chinese food in a night club environment where some people were dressed like they should be on a stage (not in a good way) instead of at a Panda Express in a mall, then this is the place for you. But for anyone who wants good food, stay away - far away. On the other hand, the service itself was fine and acceptable. Truly embarrassing!

Our reservation was for 5:30 on a Wednesday evening so there were very few diners. Food and drinks were excellent but sort of pricey . . . But not by NYC standards! The hostess could have been a little bit more welcoming. Our waiter warmed up after a few minutes. However, the other wait staff were most pleasant.

We opted for the tasting menu for our party of four, and it proved to be an exceptionally satisfying dining adventure. The service surpassed our expectations, and I must say it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had in quite some time. Be sure to arrive with a hearty appetite!

There was clearly a change in chefs and some of our favorite dishes were changed for the worse. Additionally, I put down that it was my mom’s birthday and it was not acknowledged by the restaurant. Kind of sad it put a damper on my mom’s birthday to have so many dishes taste so different from the original recipe.

We were seated right away, and our server was very attentive throughout the night. Everything we ordered looked and tasted great. We had the shrimp spring rolls and spare ribs for starters. Then we had lobster fried rice, chicken fried rice, vegetable lo mein and sweet n sour chicken. Everything was on point.

The food was not good. It was like fast food. The service was terrible & we had 4 guests & they charged us gratiuity. I was expecting great food & it was more than disappointing. Do not recommend.

Cons: Loud enough to the point that I could not hear my date and we had to yell. Food was not worth the price. Any of it. Extremely crowded so not the place for an intimate dinner. Pros: The staff was excellent in every way possible. Checked on us frequently and catered to our every need. Very responsive and accommodating.

This restaurant is outrageously priced, which I am used to in NYC. However outrageous prices are generally justified by excellent dining experiences. We live in rural CT and make a point of getting Asian cuisine when we are in NYC, because good Asian food is not an option around us. This experience has made us reassess. The food at PC was horrible. The spare ribs were very meaty but as dry and tasty as a sponge. The bok choy was wilted and soggy. The only flavor in the Kung Pao Chicken and the Crispy Beef was sodium, and despite costing $60 each came with one tiny little bowl of white rice. The calamari was greasy but edible. The only dish that was truly tasty was the dumplings. The music was instrumental versions of Celine Dion classics straight out a dentist's office. Not a shred of any fun downtown vibe. All this for $350 for 3 adults, 2 young kids and no alcohol! Whoever Philippe Chow is should be ashamed to have his name anywhere near this sorry excuse for a Chinese restaurant. You are better off at Panda Express.

I love this restaurant so much. The food is always good and presented extremely well. The wait staff is beyond amazing! They are polite, fast, and very kind. Perfect for date night, birthday, or just a night out.

You have got to improve your food and food presentation. The crispy beef was not eatable (no meat on the deep fried pieces, orange sauce was heavy and not tasteful), the Peking Duck for 115 USD was ok but certainly is over priced and is not enough for 2 to 3 persons as a dish, the bok choy was bland and soggy, the scallion pancake was simply horrible (no scallion, just overfried thin pieces of flour), the egg plant was cut into blocks and deep fried with no taste, the shrimp fried rice dark with soy sauce but tasteless. Service was ok, you guys are well trained and reception was friendly. But, so disappointing was your food and presentation of your food. We were so looking forward to trying your Downtown location! Our experience at 60th location was much better. What is happening with your Downtown location?

With this visit being my 7th time, the elegance is top tier and the food never disappoints. Only suggestion would be to regain the standard that was initially set. I saw multiple people in hoodies and sneakers, so that tells me Philippe is being lax’d on the dress code. Let’s not have this fine establishment inadvertently morph into a high ticket Apple Bee’s PLEASE. Enforce the dress code!

Amazing place great staff got sick from drinking and they let me go home without charging for the bill definitely need to visit again but have nothing but good things to say about the way the treated me
