Petrichor Social offers a well-rounded experience in a space that fosters connection and socialization. Our mission is to bring the quality of the hospitality industry in the South of France— quality food, quality drinks, and quality time—to Vancouver.
Originally hailing from Montpellier in the South of France, our owner/GM Luc has been passionate about food since he was young. After working in high end restaurants and hotels in France, England, and New York City, Luc made the move to Vancouver to bring to life his dream of opening his own restaurant.

We had an enjoyable evening at this new restaurant. The service was friendly and we didn’t feel rushed. The ambience was great - they have done a very good job at creating the right atmosphere. The food was good but there’s room for improvement - there was a lot of oil on the tuna dish and some of the flavours/textures didn’t quite work together. I would visit again though.

Delicious meal to celebrate Mothers Day. Quiet and sophisticated inside. Will be back. Currently a small menu, so would be nice to see more sharing plates suitable for Happy Hour with friends.

I love what they did with the place, cozy, small, intimate, and just a great place to catch up with a friend over a glass of wine. Mediterranean platter was delicious, especially the dips. Truffle Pommes lacked tastes so it was ok. The service was wonderful, overall great experience.

Very disappointed. Loved the old restaurant Jules, this place is very underwhelming. Fried potatoes and crab cakes were bland and tasteless. Mussels were only so-so. Service was pretty terrible and took forever- his recommendations about food were also not accurate. Overall will not go back and do not recommend.

The mushroom gnocchi was very good, big portion but very heavy. The risotto was slightly underdone, not creamy and did not have any vegetables in it. Just a little bit of lobster and lacked flavor. Service was just OK. It would’ve been nice if they came around to check on our wine instead of having to flag them down for more wine.

Amazing new restaurant. Try it before it gets impossible to get a reservation. Great food, lovely service and affordable wine. Will definitely go again.

Food was great but service was lacking. The quality and taste was definitely there. Just a note, they'd bring our food, and just put it down on the table. No explanation given at all on what we were having. We ordered a platter for our appie and there were multiple dips and we had no idea what was what. Restaurants usually provide that explanation. Same thing with our dinner, no explanation. Just dropped it off and said enjoy. Our sever was super kind but we could tell she was newer to the restaurant industry. She provided misinformation on one dish (not end of the world because I ordered it anyways). The servers didn't really come check on us, we waited a long time to get our bill or even for them to check to see if we wanted anything else. When my drink was finished, after about the third time the server finally asked if I wanted another drink. To me it wasn't a big deal because I didn't want another drink. I would recommend it only if you keep expectations low with service because the food and cocktails were great. Also, we went on a Friday night (7pm) resos. The place was completed dead. We out of curiosity mentioned that there is no one here and the host was like we have tons of reservations between 7-8. We were there until 830, it was pretty dead.

The place has potential but most seemed lackluster, the food was very average although it attempted to be fancy, missing seasoning and flavor, service was slow, overall won’t go again which is unfortunate for the neighborhood

What an excellent new restaurant. Reasonable priced wine, and terrific food. The potato appetizer and lobster risotto were wonderful.

Went early before a Canucks game so restaurant was very quiet. Service was excellent. The food was very good although the menu is quite small. Will definitely try it again

First time at Petrichor Social and you have to go! The ambience and interior make it the cutest spot in Gastown! The staff and owner were extremely friendly and welcoming, providing exceptional hospitality. The food and wine list is locally sourced and both delicious. We tried a few cocktails and they were also well crafted and delicious. Highly recommend and can’t wait to be back!

The best new restaurant in Vancouver! Luc does an amazing job at serving modern, French inspired fare in an earthy, upscale environment.

For our mains, I had the Gnocchi and my partner had the duck—we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Don't skip on sharing the pommes dauphines and for desert, definitely get the soft serve, it was soooo good. I also had the espresso martini and it was just right. The environment 10/10 and just a super refreshing space to be in after living in Vancouver for so long. Escape the rain and get cozy here!
