I love this restaurant. Easier to hear at lunch when it’s usually less crowded, but lovely food, lovely waitstaff, and a lovely place for a date. Oh, a date… chance would be a fine thing…

After waiting ten minutes to be greeted which we were ok with since it was Mother’s Day and it’s expected to be busy, the waitress greeted us with a curt “can I help you?” And went down from there. She couldn’t have been more rude it was like she just didn’t want to be there or be bothered. I asked for a manager and he promptly made it better by taking her away from us and giving us an excellent server Alias which thankfully salvaged the meal.

Everything was great overall! One waffle was a bit over cooked and the halibut portion was small but they still tasted good!

Restaurants that seat large groups of people need to figure out a way to either put them in a separate room or when the noise level rises find a way to tone it down …. That was the only negative for meal on Friday nite but it was a significant negative … made trying to talk to my one dinner partner difficult. Otherwise best meal I’ve had in a long time … server was new but absolutely delightful …. Will plan a return (perhaps mid-week)

Petite Robert Bistro is always one of our favorite to-go places. We came here for lunch, ordered salmon burger and steak and frites. Everything’s exceptional! Looking forward to come back again another time!

The noise level is a bit much. Customers tend to speak louder since they cannot hear what the other is saying. However, the bar side of the restaurant is definitely more quiet.

My husband and I had a delicious brunch before a Symphony Hall concert. The small dining room is lovely and was full of happy customers. Everything that passed by our table from the kitchen looked wonderful, and our meals were delicious. Service was attentive but not intrusive.

Always a great choice. I miss the bread that they used to have. Now it’s just standard baguette. My entree came out and was not particularly hot not very tasty.

We booked a table outside but when we came the waiter forgot about us after initial greeting. He said that will set up a table but never came back and everyone else including the hostess ignored my requests for setting up the table for us. We left after 20 minutes wait in a chilly weather outside. Very disappointing

Upon arrival multiple parties standing and crowding around waiting to be seated. I was not greeted or checked in for a whole 15 minutes as well as multiple other parties who had just walked in. Would have liked to have been greeted upon arrival and checked in within a timely manner. Other than that food and drinks were great.

Petit Robert’s ambience would benefit from fewer tables (it felt like the party next to us were in our laps). A very loud party of 6 made conversation impossible!

Restaurant has changed! Tables are now jammed in making it very tight and noisy. Food has also declined in quality. Service was excellent however. I would only go back at lunch or when less crowded. Sad.

BRUNCH Moules excellent. Sides=adequate. Profiterole=dandy. Omelette=poor, overdone. Hamburger=perfectly done House staff=fine. Server= pleasant, swift, knowledgable. First rate. Menu=typical/characteristic bistro. Moules always terrific. Dining room: small, noisy, bright, charming. Patio: charming, too! Bar: cramped: true Paris bistro size and feel Location=great.

The atmosphere is very nice, it’s hard to control the noise level when you have a small cafe! I ordered steak frites and it was mediocre as the meat was tough, hard to cut even with the steak knife. I can make better at home. My friend had the mussels and she loved them.

It was my first visit for dinner with friends here during restaurant week. Nice small dining room that was full. Friendly staff and amazing food. Will definitely be back.

Met an old friend for dinner at Petit Robert; unbeknownst to us, it was Dine Out week. We ordered off the menu as the Prixe Fixe would be too much food for each of us (women!). The food was delicious but the beef bourginon was a smaller portion than expected for the price. Unfortunately, service was very slow given the jammed nature of the place that night- tables seated after us were served before us. The young people at the next table were loud and obnoxious enough to warrant a reprimand. Not the restaurant's fault, but the tables are close together. We'll go back on a quieter night for a meal with better value.
