    This was our second time at Perry's... First visit had a few hiccups on service /food side, so we said let's give it a second go... For our 4-top, one order was for salmon and the server came back to tell us they are out... Instead, another fish option was suggested ( more expensive )and we agreed. After tasting the entree, we discovered it was oversalted and had to send it back. Our server was really nice not to argue and gracefully comp the price on our check

    My experience was great as usual at Perry's. My waiter Kasper was very attentive and gave us exceptional service.

    My husband and I had gone for my birthday. We have been here a few times before. Food and drinks were excellent as usual. We had 2 servers and they clearly weren’t communicating w/ one another. They each kept coming back and essentially explaining the same thing the previous server had already done. Our dessert was supposed to be comped and when the server came back to redo the receipt we just declined because we had already paid the previous server. That wasn’t a big deal as I’m sure the cost was nominal. We also, had leftovers and were asked if we wanted it wrapped up, which we did. One server took our food and the other brought it back out in a bag and set the bag on an extra chair. When we got home we realized we were missing half of our food. So that was a bit of a let down.

    Upon arrival, there is a dress code listed and states it is enforced. A woman seated at the table next to me had cut off shorts and a white tube top on. Clearly a violation of the dress code. I also saw a woman being seated that had jeans with multiple holes and a top on with her belt hanging out. This was disturbing, and even my husband who says very little, mentioned it to me. I was disappointed that this was allowed after having viewed the dress code at the hostess' desk.

    James was a gracious, knowledgeable and helpful waiter. He thrilled my guest with a signed Happy Birthday card by the entire staff that was on duty.

    A comment from my friend (after I sent him the photo you will see later) was : That's a work of art. You really didn't eat it, did you?" Honestly, we did stare at it a while in wonder; but then our curiosity got the better of us and we dove in to one of the best desserts we've ever had. But, I'm starting at the end. Something I never do in a review. It had been several years since I have eaten at Perry's because I seldom shop Oak Brook anymore and it was, sometimes, where I used to eat when I did. Now I wonder why I needed ANY excuse to visit Perry's. This is a destination restaurant, for sure. Our server, Julian, was truly enjoyable to pampered by. We took his recommendations on our wine choice (Perry's Reserve Pinot Noir) as being a very positive one. He also recommended the dessert we chose. We would definitely recommend asking for him when you dine there. Since we share everything because we get to taste more dishes, we decided on the escargot. Interestingly, the chef made twist of the traditional preparation which dressed the little buggers up and made them even more appetizing. They put a quarter-sized puff pastry on top of each one. Needless to say, they were amazing. My friend, who has frequently eaten them said they were the best she has every had. Next course was the vegetable soup of the day. WOW! It was an artichoke and leek soup with shavings of parmesan. We could have made a meal of this along with the delicious crusty bread already on table. As he walked by, the manager took our empty bowls, I remarked how I wish I could have licked the bowl. He came back later with two take-home servings for us to enjoy it again. That has never happened anywhere else. The main course was an excellent sauteed black cod served on a plank with thinly sliced potatoes topped with a delicate sauce. We also enjoyed their wonderful brussel sprouts. Dessert was the dream sickle cheesecake. This place is a hidden gem. We recommend it highly!

    We always enjoy dining here especially the steaks. However, in spite of dining for our anniversary (which they knew in advance) we were seated at a table near a main aisle and near a meeting room that people were going in and out of frequently. Our waiter was great to start our experience but was apparently given some difficult tables to wait on as he was less than attentive as time passed. We typically enjoy taking our time to dine but this was a bit extreme…2 1/2 hours start to finish. Not sure we will go back anytime soon in spite of how much we enjoy the food.
