I love permanent vacation for a great themed cocktail and the tiki decor is the best in the central Florida area. Great drinks, tasty food options, and a fun staff makes this my favorite tiki bar around!

What an awesome spot. When we arrived, we didn’t realize the entrance was inside another bar. (The Copper something) The place is awesome from the moment you’re greeted at the door. Food and drinks were both excellent. We will be back!

If you're not looking to have a good time, Permanent Vacation is not for you. If however, you want a unique experience with a great vibe, classic tropical cocktails, and a staff that is in the business of making sure you have a good time, then Permanent Vacation is indeed for you!! My date & I had a truly unique experience and would highly implore you to take your squeeze there in the very near future!

It is not just a bar with food. It is a true experience, it’s like the Pirates of the Caribbean of bars - minus the pirates. Arrrrgh! Such a fun experience.

Hands down an amazing experience. Felix our bartender was phenomenal and very entertaining. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Seriously, the food was great. I wasn't expecting it to be that good honestly but it was. Definitely do yourself a favor and visit this gem. It's hidden inside of "The Copper Rocket" so kinda like a speak easy.

We had been looking forward to our “Permanent Vacation” and went in knowing next to nothing about it. The atmosphere is incredible and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. We were fully immersed from the second we walked in the door and loved the ambiance. Even the menu is unique and well thought out. Our drinks took a little time to come out, but there was obviously a lot involved in the preparation. We ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer and that was phenomenal, so we decided to order the calamari as well. This was a HUGE mistake. We were asked if we’re ok with spicy foods (we are) because there are “some peppers” included in the calamari. This is very common and a little heat always compliments the fried squid. Boy, was this a mistake. In the mound of fried food, over half was sliced peppers and the rest was rubbery, flavorless calamari. Since the room is dark, it was tough to distinguish between the two and ended up feeling more like roulette with no winning outcome. We ended up pushing all the peppers to one side of the plate, far outnumbering the meat, but by then we couldn’t stomach anymore. 18 hours later, we both still feel like we swallowed a little match. We will definitely go back to Permanent Vacation but will be steering clear of the calamari. 🔥

What a fun place with some really cool drinks. The four of us were not big rum drinkers, but they did have some cool drinks to offer. Our server told her say we’re gonna be working on the menu and also adding some new features which will be cool to see

This was a great experience. I love tiki bars and try to support them when I go out, Permanent Vacation did not disappoint. I didn't like my first drink they removed it and made me a different drink. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional.

We had a GREAT time at PERMANENT VACATION Maitland. One in our group is on a special diet and Dan and the chef were extremely accommodating. Dan went above and beyond. All the staff were wonderful and Richie at the bar is such a sweetheart!

The one star on food was because I couldn’t continue my review without some sort of input. Did not eat here. However, the drinks we had were amazing and strong. Not much of a rum person, but they have alternatives that should satisfy you. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Atmosphere was amazing! Certain drinks triggered scenes and noises in bar…I’ll let you figure out which ones!

This was such a unique lucky random find for us however after having the phonemical flat bread we absolutely inhaled, the chicken kabob and pineapple rice were kind of just wind out of our sales it was average, they left me wanting. And I feel like I can get better for half the price elsewhere :(

Funnest Tiki bar I’ve been to, including the real ones in Polynesia. Awesome attention to detail to both the theme, the incredible drinks, and from the staff starting from the time you are greeted by the hostess. Had a blast and will absolutely return!

If you like strong drinks and an interesting, fun environment, then this is for you. The beef and shrimp shish-kebobs were delicious. Great date place. Only negative- we felt we were being rushed out after only an hour.

Really cool spot! Our server Brian was fantastic. Drinks are cool and very strong, environment is so unique, we loved it. Flatbread was okay… not the greatest thing ever. Will definitely be back!

Creepy vacation vibes from the drinks down to the decor and sounds too. The drinks are handcrafted and soo good. We got the raw safari (frozen), Mai tai, and painkiller.

I will continue coming to Permanent Vacation time and time again for the craftsmanship of every cocktail, the fantastic food and the ambiance. Permanent Vacation is a “must-do,” especially when people from out of town are visiting. Our server Selena was super knowledgeable and attentive to our group when trying to work around cocktail recommendations to fit everyone’s palates.
