Korean American cuisine centered around a communal dining experience. Inspired by classic Korean flavors and ingredients, we offer our approach on many traditional classics including Korean BBQ paired alongside new and exciting takes created by the Chef to represent the second generation of Korean Americans and the food we love to enjoy and share. Join us for grilled meats on the table paired with a curated beverage list which includes handcrafted cocktails, craft beers, a curated wine list, and hand selected imported sojus. Our menu features sourced ingredients from local farms and hand selected quality meats from local purveyors and family owned businesses. Our menu accommodates all dietary restrictions with a focus on vegetarian options including locally sourced mushrooms. A great introduction to Korean cuisine. Most Korean restaurants are dark and dreary, this one has windows and improves the mood. Great server - she guided us through the menu and didn’t let us order too much. Flavors are awesome. The menu works well for a sharing experience.

Great spot for a fun date night or group dinner. Ambiance was elevated and sleek. Cocktails were solid. My wife and I shared the scallion pancake, kimchi fried rice, 60 day dry aged ribeye (16 oz), and marinated short rib. Everything was delicious and there was plenty of food for two (ended up bringing much of the fried rice home). Highly recommend!

Service was top notch. Our waiter was helpful navigating the menu. A bit noisy but it was a very busy Friday evening. Good & drinks were all excellent

Decent food, but not worth the value. The service was relatively slow and overall not the caliber of food quality I was expecting for the price.

As always Perilla never fails to deliver in terms of both food and hospitality. Some of my family was in town and this felt like the perfect opportunity to bring them here for dinner. We went with the Traditional tasting plate as well as the Perilla Set for each person. Staff was kind, attentive, and this was the case for other guests as we watched the FOH team during service. 10/10 every time.

Food was immaculately executed and thoughtful. Cocktails well prepared. We had arrived directly from the airport with luggage in hand and the staff were able to accommodate our needs. Server was knowledgeable and made informed recommendations. Ban Chan selections were out of this world. For the value, Perilla Fare is a must dine. 10/10

Second time was just as incredible, if not transcendent, as the first time I came here a year ago. We asked our server to curate our experience and she certainly took us on a delicious culinary Korean journey.

A very nice experience. All the dishes we tried were made with ingredients of excellent freshness and quality, and so well prepared. The staff were incredibly attentive and worked as a team. Not being familiar with Korean cooking and eating traditions, we needed instructions, and the staff took all the time we needed. Good wine list with lesser known producers. We recommend basic champagne to go with the food - surprisingly good quality for the price. Highly recommended.

Had a good experience - we were able to snag a table for a big group last minute. I absolutely loved the cocktails here. 10/10 would recommend just for this. For the food - it was a fun experience. Appreciated the staff helping with the cooking of the meats and recommend cooking times. I would say I thought the food was very pricey and for a larger group a bit complicated when it came to splitting the bill because of the nature of the menu. We had to get quite a few items to share in addition to the mains (the meats) which was expensive. The taste of the food was great, I would just recommend for smaller groups (1 - 4 ppl.)

The service was great and the food too. Im not giving 5 stars because the wine recommendation was very bad. The house californian wine that the waiter recommented tasted as if it was unfinished, colour was not bright… tasted like cheap one. Other than that, the food was great.

The decor and ambience was great. Some of the friendliest service I’ve ever had， and the food was absolutely superb by far the best chicken wings I’ve ever had along with excellent kimchi and amazing cuts of meat. A true 11/10 must visit spot.

Food was good, service was meh, and drinks were ok. Waiter was cold and told us they would refill banchan but didn’t. It’s a shame because we’ve been here before and liked it, but I think because they have been getting more recognition, maybe they care less about their service quality as a result.

Was good but maybe a bit up in price for what it is. I guess depending on what matters to you most,food or service, the ambience and service was excellent but the food is the same as other bbqs, yet pricier.

For someone with dietary restrictions I loved the food I had a good choice from all there categories. I have shellfish allergy and only eat chicken so.. The server was knowledgable and was able to guide us skillfully . Very courteous staff and u can tell by the service its an upscale restraunt !

Very slow service on a not so busy night. Second time here, however, my first time experience was significantly better.

Promising review on Michelin and marked as Bib Gourmand, Perilla was a nice but forgettable Korean BBQ place. Expensive, but typical for the area. Service was excellent and very attentive, with nice decor and ambience, but the main menu wasn’t that exciting or worth the price. Their lounge menu seems much more interesting and remarkable; wish we had gotten that rather than the modest plate of meat that just tasted like meat. Fried rice was solid.

Perilla was fantastic. It’s my second time dining & it didn’t disappoint. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was amazing!!! Also the art cards with the bill are gorgeous. Such a beautiful takeaway ❤️ We had a fabulous time & will definitely be back.

Simply wonderful! We just moved back to Chicago and have been on the hunt for Korean BBQ. We moved back rom North Georgia and were concerned we would not find the same quality here in Chicago. WE STAND CORRECTED. From the owners and all of our servers we truly enjoyed our experience. The food is PHENOMENAL. Our first time having a Perilla leaf during our BBQ experience and it was truly an experience. We will be back again, and again. Thank you so much Perilla, The Jarrett Family :)

Wonderful dinner. Wonderful experience. Only reason not five stars on value is it’s expensive. Worth it but very expensive.

Perilla never dissapoints. Food is great and staff/service just lovely and outstanding, anticipating customer wishes. Very accommodating. Can only recommend. Great experience, you won't regret. PS: if you want wine, suggest to order a bottle (reasonably priced), wine by the glass is not at the level of the food and comparatively expensive. Drinks from the bar are good and creative.

Perilla has really upped their game post renovation and pandemic. We did a mix of the tasting menus and enjoyed the contrasts in the meat cuts. The inside and service now has an upscale dining feel - our server Cid was wonderful, highly personable and engaging which made for a wonderful time here. Thanks to the Perilla team - looking forward to being back soon!
