Service needs a little help. I sat in my car at the valet stand for 15 minutes before going inside and asking reception if i could get some help with my car. Was told i had to drive to the parking lot down the street and they would validate. Would be fine but not stated on their website that parking is not on site - implies it is. Service in restaurant is fair at best. Servers are bland and not overly helpful. Accommodating but takes a while to get them there. You do feel a bit like you're eating in the lobby. Menu for lunch is very limited. Caesar kale was boring - generous bowl of shreaded kale and not much else. Cava was lovely. Better options in the area.

We had a wonderful dinner! All the food was fantastic and the service was top notch. Best I have experienced since covid! Every dish was delish and we had a very enjoyable evening!

The staff was accommodating and pleasant. Drinks were good. I didn't expect the restaurant to be continuous with the lobby--The bar was situated well. The appetizers: we really enjoyed the brussel sprouts -- it was well seasoned and delicious. The Catalan tomato bread was very good too. For the entrees, the two people who got burgers enjoyed them a lot. The bolognese was a little bland and the pasta was overcooked. The mussels were ok but again, not particularly flavorful. Desserts were not good--mostly lacking in flavor except for the lemon pistachio olive oil cake--which was dry but had good frosting. We got the strawberry crepe, chocolate cake, and ricotta cheesecake--which were quite average. As I said, the staff were very nice and professional, the burgers were really good, and the rest of the meals we had were OK. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat and relax, the ambience is nice.

Nice ambience. diverse menu but inexperienced service. There were 4 people in our party. The server brought dishes for 3 of us. After waiting several minutes (and our food getting cold) for the fourth person to be served we asked the server about the dish and he responded that he’d check. Did he not notice that when he brought 3 dishes the order was incomplete? If we hadn't said anything would he have noticed? When 3 out of 4 of us were done eating he started clearing our plates leaving one person rushing to finish her food and feeling rushed. He should have waited until everyone was done eating before clearing. My friend said it felt awkward that she was the only one still eating and all of us were waiting for her to finish. Amateur service. Not sure I ‘d go back even though I live in the neighborhood.

Food was very good. The bar noise was on and off throughout the dinner. The cocktail was very small for the price. Overall we enjoyed our evening.

I have long been a fan of Peregrine, but I was frankly disappointed by my recent dinner there. It strikes me as, at best, inappropriate to pair potato chips (rather than French fries) with a burger, especially when the burger is only one of three entrees. The lemon cake was very dry. In the not distant past, the food was consistently wonderful. It has recently declined. I would now recommend Peregrine for its atmosphere, not for its cuisine.

Love the service and atmosphere at the peregrine. Lovely spot! The burger is excellent but tiny - would be happy to pay more to make it a full size burger. Have had it twice now and always wish it left me full. Pastas are hit or miss. This time was a hit cold. Great cocktails.

I was very surprised by this restaurant- I wouldn’t even call it a restaurant. I was just a collection of tables in the lobby of a hotel. Definitely a weird atmosphere for dinner, drinks might have been fine but I would not recommended for dinner. The food was expensive for what it was, the drinks were small and very weak.

We LOVE Peregrine! We went there for a date night on a cozy winter evening. We had a great seat by the window and enjoyed a delightful evening. Within 10 seconds of sitting down our waters were filled. Moments later our wonderful server came by to discuss drinks. The cocktails are first rate, best I have had in the city. The food is delicious. We split an app, a side, and an entree and it was plenty of food. The service is some of the best in the city too. We've been there a half dozen times and each time our server is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. On a side note, the restaurant used to have gratuity included in the price as they paid their staff a living wage (which is at least $15/hour in Boston). I didn't see that mentioned in the menu this time. I really appreciated the format and wished more restaurants did that. It seems like Peregrine isn't doing it anymore. This is a super charming restaurant in a super charming hotel (The Whitney), in a super charming neighborhood (Beacon Hill). Highly recommend!

We enjoy a few of the staples on the menu and live in the neighborhood so frequent the restaurant. There are fine dining touches that we enjoy in the service and the drinks are well mixed. Try the parsnip dip and the polenta which never disappoint and the steak, potato and brocoli option always hits the mark.

Santiago was amazing and gave us great service . The manager at the bar not friendly or welcoming at all and had a very bad attitude but Santiago smile and friendliness was much appreciated We ordered 2 steaks which were great and the only vegetarian entree gnocchi which came like warm and had to send it back but came back hot and safe to eat The crispy polenta for appetizer also tasted very good . The menu is very limited for vegetarians and not a place I go back to

We went for a special occasion. Prix fixe menu for Christmas day for $85 pp. It's definitely not set up for that sort of service. It was definitely our server's first night. His clothing looked like he had just taken it out of the laundry bin. He forgot our drinks. When he finally brought them to us he spilled an entire glass of red wine everywhere. We had to move tables. We got a new server who was MUCH better. The food was fine. It's basically a hotel lobby bar with dining. I might go back for drinks but not dinner.

As usual a favorite place for dinner but I was really surprised when as we started dessert our server came to say as had to leave within 15 mins because there was someone coming for our table. We were not drop ins and had made a reservation. We did not overly dawdle or ask for something atypical. For a restaurant I have always found to be top notch this was a real negative. The rest of the service was terrific as usual. I hope you update your reservation system so as not to rush future customers out. I will consider coming again but if this happens again it will be my last time.

They’re so kind—moving around tables to accommodate us when we had to come by earlier than our reservation. It’s our go to spot for brunch when we have friends visiting from out of town. Must go!

The French omelette was fantastic. Wish there had been more options for brunch (special pancakes or oatmeal, for example). My tea water was not boiled - just hot. I would recommend that the water be boiled as that is the best way to drink black tea. I was also hoping the interior had been decorated for the holiday. Overall, we had a nice time and will return!

They should not serve or attempt to serve Thanksgiving dinner. The food was not good. Turkey roll served cold. $ 200+ for pri fixe - the food was terrible. I imagine as a regular bar - the food is fine but will not attempt to go back for a holiday meal.
