Perbacco est un endroit élégant et moderne, tout en étant bien ancré dans le Vieux Monde. Le restaurant a conservé un mur de briques original de l'époque Hind de 1913, ainsi que d'autres éléments, tels que le bar et le carrelage en marbre de Carrara blanc. Avec 16 places au bar et 7 tables plus intimes, Perbacco créé une bonne atmosphère pour un verre de vin ou un repas léger. Perbacco dispose également de 2 salles à manger, l'une au rez-de-chaussée et l'autre, plus petite, sur la mezzanine à l'étage, qui sert également de «théâtre» avec des fenêtres qui donnent sur la cuisine.
Chef Staffan Terje cherche à cuisiner les meilleurs aliments afin de représenter les régions italiennes du Piémont et de la Ligurie. Les salumi, prosciutto et autres charcuteries artisanaux, faits maison, sont à ne pas manquer. Les plats de pâtes de saison, une tradition dans le Piémont, vont des raviolis traditionnelles aux agnolotti plus exotiques. Les plats principaux comprennent la poitrine de caille farcie, une sélection de plats de fruits de mer et des plats végétariens.

This nature of this restaurant is extremely gracious! We were warmly greeting at the front door. Our guests had not arrived so we wondered over to the bar and again, greeted warmly by the staff. Our guest arrived and we were seated at a very comfortable table and from there taken care of by the professional staff. The food is amazing, everything so fresh and well prepared. The wine service was most excellent and a luscious dessert just topped off a perfect evening.

Perbacco never disappoints. It’s been a few years for me and my husband and this time we asked a couple to join us and we walked away happy and I’m glad I recommended.

We had a great time but we were disappointed when we first arrived because even though we had a reservation we were seating in a booth so uncomfortable and restrictive that 3/4 of our party could not sit there. We were initially offered alternative seats at the bar. This felt quite rude since some of us clearly could not sit on those stools. After a 15 min wait we were able to go through to the dining room and everything was excellent from that point on. Diners should be aware that some booths are not suitable for larger diners.

We've been to Perbacco several times and have enjoyed the meal. I was. very disappointed this time. I thought the service was terrible this time. We ordered antipastis, pasta and main courses to share. The antipastis were very good, crudo hamachi and the roasted octupus. There was a long delay between that and the pastas. Tanjarin, a favorite, Anglolotti and the Risotto. The risotto was good, but could have done without. Then they wanted to clear our plates like we were finished and I had to tell them that we were waiting for more food. The secondi of short ribs and duck breast. The duck breast was really nothing special, had little taste. We had to request things more than once. I asked for more bread that we didn't get, but then was charge for on our bill. All in all Perbacco had been my go to place, but now I'll think twice before returning. I thought the service was terrible this time. We had an engagement and thought we had plenty of time, but in the end dinner took 2.5 hours and that's because we rushed dessert and getting our bill.

Celebrated mother's day here with 8 guests. Everyone loved their food and drink. One described their pappardelle as best pasta he's ever had. This is our 4th time at Perbacco's and the restaurant does not disappoint. Food is excellent and service is impeccable. Never have to ask for anything as the staff is very attentive and aware. Looking forward to our next visit to Perbacco's.

Haven’t been for a while since I moved to miami but food and service was great. The owner Umberto came up to me while I was waiting in the bar to greet me having scanned the list of reservations for the night. While I was in San Francisco I used to do all my visiting professor dinners there. This continues under current leadership and Umberto continues to impress. Highly recommended.

Perbacco is a great place for a special occasion or to have a bite at the bar. Always has impeccable service and delicious dishes. We especially enjoyed the Supli starter and the pastas we each had.

We had a wonderful experience dining at Perbacco! Our server, Domenico, was awesome and enhanced the whole dining experience. We recommend trying the burrata and fritto misto to start. The risotto and the tajarin were both incredible. We cant wait to come back!

My friend and I had a wonderful lunch. We split a ceasar salad, pasta and the petrale sole. Plenty of food for sharing. The pasta was a bit salty for us but they made it up to us. The “ugly” cookies were awesome hazelnut meringues

Perbacco is one of our favorite SF restaurants. The food is always interesting, and delicious. The Green Salad had very fresh ingredients and herbs. Our roasted meat pasta and cheese ravioli and fresh pea pasta were both tasty. Highly recommended.

Dinner at Perbacco was very good as usual with excellent service. Re: dishes, the agnoletti dal plin pasta is my favorite. I wish they would bring back the langaroli past which was discontinued in 2023.

Had not eaten at Perbacco in last 6months. Although the food was just as great as I had remembered it pre-COVID I was disappointed in what had always been stellar service. Our meal on Aril 16 was wonderful AND the service was back to near perfect! So happy to see the place busy and providing the pasta dishes SF needs.

I have been dining at Perbacco for the past 13 years. Yesterday I visited after 18 months. What struck me was, Perbacco has changed. - the servers - taste of pasta and sauces - no breadsticks and that delicious pesto (the current pesto that you ask for tastes generic) - no gianduja when you sign your check I don’t know if I will be back because the changes are a deal breaker for me.

6:15 reservation on a Thursday night. Restaurant was crowded and food was great. Service started very slow, took about 20 minutes before drinks arrived and pace became more normal. Restaurant was uncomfortably warm.

We had such a wonderful dinner at Perbacco. Very comfortable service and an incredible wine list. The highlight was a saffron risotto on a special tasting menu. But I really think you can’t go wrong with any of the Piedmontese specialties. Umberto and his team run a first class organization. Enjoy downtown San Francisco with one of the top Italian restaurants you can find!

I've been to Perbacco several times, twice in the past two weeks. I have enjoyed each meal, the pasta is wonderful and the sauces delicious. Last week I had the Casoncelli and this week the Tajarin. both very tasty. Also, had the roasted cauliflower and it is so good. We also had the burnt caramel ice cream. wonderful!

It was hot and stuffy, like they were blasting heat full strength. With so many people in there, it was too warm, and they took away their outdoor seating so that's no longer an option. Other than that, everything was great.
