We both ordered the short rib cavatelli. Waitress recommended. The meat was tough, hard to chew, and the sauce was very oily. When the waitress asked how our meal was we told her and she agreed sauce was very oily. She asked if we wanted to order something else but we declined. She said she would see what she could do but never followed up. She gave us a free desert but since it was a birthday celebration that would be standard. Very disappointed. We overheard he tell another table not to order the shortrib due to complaints.

I love this restaurant.... actually I love all of the restaurants in the collection. What I particularly love is dining in the lounge area with the fireplace, enjoying some popovers and a nice glass of 'something' while awaiting my entree. I usually order the steak frites with a 50/50 order of fries/onion rings - the steak is always done to my preference and the onion rings are so good! There's no rushing... service is very good, friendly and attentive... and never crosses the line into cloying or annoyingly attentive. As we like to eat early, we are usually able to be seated promptly whether we book a reservation or just pop in. The restaurant isn't cheap, but then fine dining seldom is. I'm pretty sure it will make it to the top of your fine dining list.

My first time. What a find. I was looking for a special lunch spot to celebrate the birthday of a dear friend, and we found it. Food was excellent, and the service was exacting and gracious. I understand the place gets crowded for dinner and special events, but for our visit it felt as if Pellana was our private club.

Incredible dining experience. Everything was perfect. I don't have a single negative thing to say about this restaurant. We had a lovely evening! Worth every single penny!

As usual we had a great dinner at Pellana. The French onion soup could have been hotter and my son received a filet instead of the NY strip. It was very good and will return again.

It was great we felt our server was rushing us and told us ONE special and the table next to us waiter provided their table with more specials. We felt very rushed. I got the drink menu and barely had time to read through. For the price I felt like I was treated like I was at the 99.

The restaurant is usually excellent for quality of food and service but on Mother’s Day everything was noisy and hectic permeating the entire atmosphere of the restaurant.

The sirloin center cut steak was 16 oz which is more than enough for two people Add to that the shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and you have a great surf and turf. The Pellana salad was fabulous. Since blue cheese is not a cheese choice I would make, the server brought a cup full of cheddar cheese as a replacement without being asked to do so. We order plain mashed potatoes as Nick, our server, explained the menu mashed potatoes had blue cheese added. Greatly appreciated his warning. To top it off, the cheesecake is huge as well as the bowl of vanilla ice cream. Service was excellent.

Pellana is a special occasion restaurant for us and it never disappoints. The crabmeat appetizer is outstanding with big pieces of crab and an excellent sauce for dipping that’s just spicy enough. The bread basket has an excellent choice with popovers, crusty bread and a delicious cinnamon toasted bread. The filet was perfect, the baked potato was fluffy and the espresso martini was perfect. Pricey but worth it!

It was the perfect meal to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Clams Casino is a classic appetizer. The clams were tender with the correct amount of bread crumbs and bacon. Pellana makes my favorite wedge salad. It does not taste as good even when I make it at home. My son and I split it, and it was still a huge serving. My son had the duck confit, which was a special of the evening. My husband had the pork chop, and I had the bone in ribeye—the proper temperature on the meals and delicious. There are Brussels sprouts and a delicious baked sweet potato on the sides. If you like creme brulee, you can't go wrong at Pellana's—a perfect meal.

Our dinner was outstanding! We split salads and they were huge! We basically all had steak and they were all delicious! My 10oz. Filet Mignon was the best i’ve ever had! Our waiter was calm, funny and did his job thoroughly! He was awesome!!!

We enjoyed our 15th wedding anniversary and Pellana made it a perfect evening, from starting with cocktails, shrimp cocktail & fresh oysters to perfectly cooked filet mignon & veal chop and delicious deserts. The service could not have been better. Can't wait for our next visit.

I love Pellana. The food was great, the service was great but there was a birthday party with many screaming children there and it was not fun. It kind of ruined the dining experience for us. I will be back but i just hope im there when there are no kid parties there.

We had sirloin and veal entree dishes, they were good and tasty. the chowder was tasty although a bit chewy. the mashed potatoes were as plainly as can be. the asparagus were broiled, and some were stringy, for desert we had raspberry's sorbet which was delicious, citrusy and the portion was generous. In general we had a good experience. tranquil and quite level atmosphere, unlike the noise found at capitol grill which lately is more like a sport's bar. disgusting.

Not sure why we'd be seated for 2 people in a section for large parties of which there was one. And fortunately we went early but table was set for another large party. They didn't get my order right and took a long time to take it back and rectify. My husband was half done with his entree when I got my corrected one back. Never offered to comp in any way or offer free dessert.
