Our Pelee Island Pavilion is the hub of activity on the island during the spring, summer and fall. Tour the Pavilion grounds and learn the history of Pelee Island and Pelee Island Winery. The wine appreciation seminar is known as the ‘Vine to Wine’ process. You’ll get an inside look at the process of growing grapes and making wine, including the evolution of winemaking equipment throughout history (such as our antique European grape press). Finally, the tasting room provides guests with the opportunity to appreciate some of our best vintages. Your tour includes wine tasting and complimentary Pelee Island Winery tasting glass.

For those looking to enjoy a little bit of ‘Island Time’, relax in our outdoor wine garden with a glass of wine surrounded by vineyards overlooking Lake Erie. Light snacks, wood fired pizza and charcuterie available at our Deli Hut pair nicely with your wine of choice while you enjoy live entertainment every Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

                            Complete waste of time! Staff didn’t want to take us on the winery tour that we had booked but instead convinced us to do a tasting and cheese board on the patio. Our server didn’t know much about the wines we chose and got my husband’s choices wrong and the cheese board was a piece of cheese with some Breton crackers, a few pieces of stale bread, some slices of cold cuts and some peppers—very poor presentation. To make things worse, they don’t sell any wines there to take home. Anything you buy has to be opened on site.

                            I have enjoyed a past experience at Pelee Island Winery, but in this instance the winery did not close down the OpenTable platform when they closed for the fall/winter season so please make sure you phone the winery ahead of booking using the OpenTable platform if you are looking to visit during a shoulder season. I would have appreciated being told at time of reserving that the winery was closed for the season, but instead found out when I sent them a follow-up email to inquire about whether their outdoor pavilion space was still open.

                            We booked through the pelee winery/open table. Booked accommodations, took ferry over only to find the doors locked. No explanation. No apologies. Someone needs to get this system fixed. It shouldn’t book you in if it’s not available. Frustrating.

                            I was totally mislead by this reservation. It clearly says table for 4. We get there and they say it’s for a tour. There is only a little out shack .. you go and order and you sit at a picnic table .. not a reserved table. It’s just not the dining experience I was thinking we were doing. It was a picture perfect view. Pizza was ok. The baguette was huge and you got lots of cheese but still not the dining experience we were expecting.

                            I booked this thinking it was for a table on the pavilion and not knowing this was for a tour. Either I missed something or the booking info wasn’t clear. When I came to check in, an attendant told us to go stand at the front and wait for another attendant to assist us. So we proceeded there, which is when we got shuffled into a tour, we weren’t aware we were even signed up for. I had two kids with me who were hungry. I tried not to disturb the others on the tour so I called the general line to ask about the pavilion, which is when i was told that the reservation wasn’t required for the pavilion. Also, since we were in the tour for a some time I believe it’s important to mention that the tour guide we had Ea**** was very nice and hospitable. But I would say that some basic knowledge about the winery wasn’t known to them, such as a question as simple as “when was pelee island established?” wasn’t answered with certainty. The tour also included strange inclusions such as looking at and discussing the cacti in the front entrance. The pavilion atmosphere was nice. Food not good and limited options. Wine was good. We always enjoy the Baco Noir. The lawn games and kids playground is a great addition and family friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our outing at Pelee Island Winery on the island just have those few notes about Open Table reservations, that the tour could be improved and the food could be better.

                            Was a wonderful day at the winery! Our tour guide Happy was great! Would recommend to anyone visiting the island to check this place out!

                            Regrettably, my recent experience at thevPelee Island Winery was far from satisfactory. Upon contacting the establishment to inquire about a tour, I received instructions to secure a reservation for 2 pm on the following day on opentable. Accordingly, I promptly made the reservation as directed and arrived at the designated restaurant at 2.05 pm, only to be informed that the tours had been canceled due to a lack of attendees. In an attempt to rectify the situation, I endeavored to explain that I had adhered to their online reservation process, as advised the day before, and thus, there should have been an anticipation of participants for the tour. However, the winery staff responded by asserting that I was five minutes tardy, thereby justifying the cancellation of the tour. It is with a sense of disappointment that I reflect on this unfortunate encounter, as the communication regarding the reservation and subsequent tour arrangements appeared to be lacking in effectiveness and coordination. I had earnestly looked forward to experiencing the winery's offerings and am disheartened by the apparent miscommunication and its resulting consequences. In the interest of improving customer experiences, I hope that the Winery will consider implementing measures to ensure greater clarity and adherence to reservations and tour schedules in the future.

                            Best possible rating for all but especially for our guide Lisbon. He gave detailed descriptions of origins of the various grapes as well as history of the vineyards in the area. Very patient with our silly questions and made sure all our needs were looked after.
