None truly embodies the true spirit of Ireland more than, Peggy Kinnane’s Irish Restaurant and Pub in Arlington Heights. What makes Peggy’s so unique is the fact that virtually every piece of the structure came directly from Ireland. All of the woodwork, including the bars themselves, were constructed and shipped directly from Ireland. Warm weather allows for tables outside around the beautiful perimeter. Children are welcome and free parking is available on the street and in a municipal garage just down the block. A professional staff, an inviting menu and an atmosphere that feels like Ireland all combine to make a visit to Peggy Kinnane’s Irish Restaurant and Pub an authentic and charming experience. Look for Irish food on the menu, Irish people serving and being served, and plenty of warm, friendly conversation with a few songs thrown in as the night goes on, and more than likely, you’ve found an authentic Irish pub, right here in Chicagoland.

                      We had corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef was very good, the vegetables and cabbage were undercooked and bland. The noise level was so bad that you could hardly hear and carry on a conversation.

                      Pot roast sliders were kind of burnt. Others enjoyed their meals. Waitress was attentive.

                      We had six people in our group. The server was ok, not overly attentive. When our separate checks arrived there was a big red stamp that said "Large Party Gratuity Included". That was ok with us but then, in checking the bill, we saw they included the tax into the gratuity. So it worked out that we all paid about two dollars more. Everyone knows you don't tip on the tax. This is a bad policy and one, that sadly, our friends said they would not return to this restaurant.

                      The service was good, the food was good, but the noise level was deafening. I couldn’t hear my daughter how was sitting directly across from Me. Also very pricey. A black and tan was $8.50 however, if I had ordered a Guinness or I had ordered a harp they would be $8.00. Must be $.50 for the pouring from one tapper to another. Also charged for dressing for the tatter tots. They charge a 3% fee for debit card use. Not supposed to charge on a debit card.

                      Peggy's is good, but once the music starts, regardless of where you're seated, it becomes a challenge to hold a conversation.

                      Coming from Milwaukee to celebrate my Mom’s birthday, I chose this restaurant for the fish fry and location as well! Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service, and food was delish! A great variety of offerings and music in the evening as well! And they served a little dessert with candle when I requested so overall a fun time for all! Thank you!! 🥰
