    This was our second visit. I had the steak it was delicious of course. Our server was great checking on us regularly and had conversations with him about his background. Will definitely be back.

    Food was excellent as usual, but our experience was marred by poor service. Our server apparently put one of our orders in incorrectly (salmon tacos ordered, seafood pasta delivered). We had to flag down another server for assistance and one of us did not eat until everyone else was nearly finished. Our server appeared to check on us once very late in the meal (after the corrected dish arrived) and asked only one of us if they would like another glass of wine, in spite of another person having an empty glass. He flew away so quickly we were unable to ask for the other friend, so we decided it was time to move on.

    We have been few times to Paul Martins in Irvine, but this time the Service was exceptional!! She was very nice any friendly, had fun with our daughter, reminded her later she still gets ice cream as part of the kids menu (no one ever reminded us on the kids dessert). Refills came automatic and quick. Great service!!! Food was as well very good as usual.

    Food was excellent. Our server gave good suggestions during the ordering process. Excellent service, attentive but in no way rushing us. Wonderful setting for good food and conversation with friends.

    Tri tip summer menu special was tough and chewy, ordered medium temperature, though well-seasoned. Caesar salad was unusual, not the typical dressing. Biscuits were excellent. Reserved for special occasion, which was mentioned upon making reservation. Also mentioned to waiter, who said he would bring something special for dessert. Then he brought the check. The 3rd time I asked, he remembered and it came. it's embarrassing. It wasn't that busy, it's very expensive for what it is, at least deliver on your promises/service.

    I put on reservation twice was my wife’s birthday and nothing done. Mentioned to waiter and he blamed on front desk. Said no one told him. Mentioned to front desk his reply “yea that happens”. Really expected some follow up since they have my info

    Overall, good appetizers. Great Steak Cobb Salad, Seafood Tacos. We had 2 Japanese visitors (from Osaka) and they enjoyed the food. The hostess was kind to seat us near a window for an outside view.

    It always surprises me how good the food is here. Everything is always cooked and prepared excellent, the service is top notch. I wish they were open later, but other than that, no complaints!

    Surprisingly, this restaurant is now our go to place for a decent American style food.They got almost everything and the steak, seafood pasta and Red Snapper were really delicious. The service is excellent. Thank you Paul Martin Irvine for making us all happy for my hubby’s birthday dinner.
