Went here for Father's Day. Ambiance is great. Staff is pleasant. Food is quite good although a bit too spicey for my taste. The music was early 2000's hip-hop. We asked them to change it to something more authentic for an Indian restaurant. Even light jazz would have been appreciated. They compiled for about 5 mins, then changed it back. Annoying. When we finally got the bill, it was way pricier than we had anticipated. Were it not for the price it would have gotten higher stars.

We were celebrating a birthday and were informed by a server that there will be a $30 charge on the bill for cutting the cake and claimed that terms and conditions were part of my reservation. I showed my reservations and how nothing on it that indicates that I will be charged $30 for simply cutting a cake at the restaurant. I requested to speak to the manager but the manager didn’t show up. The terms and conditions that they showed me also indicated that no food and beverages from outside are allowed however the cake was from outside and they didn’t tell us that we can’t cut it when I first walked in and handed it over to a server to store and bring it out at the end. The server should have stated that the outside food is not allowed when I handed him the cake. The restaurant was not willing to understand that their policy is contradictory and instead made me feel that I should have read the terms and conditions. Not the way anyone should celebrate their special day.

Great food. Very authentic Indian food. Maybe one of the best in Manhattan.

Love the ambience and decor of this place. Loved the Chai Martini and the mocktails were really good too. The Chicken 65 was the best appetizer we had and the Malai Murgh Tikka was really good too. The mains (Langer ki Dal, Vegetable Tikka Masala) we had were pretty tasty as well.
