We offer seating both indoors in our dining room and outdoors in our back (secret) garden, which you will choose when booking your reservation.

Each evening, we have limited availability of pressed duck dinners. If you are interested in enjoying a pressed duck for two, please email info@pasjoli.com, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Pasjoli is an elevated French bistro from James Beard award-winning chef Dave Beran. The restaurant pays homage to French cuisine utilizing the bounty of produce available in Southern California. Rooted in classic French cooking and inspired by Parisian markets, pasjoli reflects Chef Dave’s thoughtful cooking style, showcasing his creative touches on bistro fare.

I know I know everyone goes here for the duck.. But we didn’t! We basically ordered every canopy and every hors d’oeuvre and had a fantastic evening with great wine and even ordered one of the canopy’s again and we used that as our desert The caviar the pate… fabulous well everything fabulous!

I took my wife here for our anniversary as a recommendation. The reservation seating option listed indoor and garden but said garden unavailable. That was fine because I didn't want to sit in the garden on a chilly night. Of course, when we got there, we were placed in the garden which is a patio covered by foliage blocking the back alleyway with outdoor furniture. I ordered the swordfish which didn't have an appetizing taste or texture. It wasn't cheap, so I tried to finish as much as I could stomach but left more than a third behind. By far, it was the least appetizing fish I'd ever eaten. However, the potatoes were pretty decent. The chicken my wife ordered couldn't be finished either. It wasn't because the portions were too big. The waitress never once stopped by to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. She only took our order and asked if we wanted dessert. It was no surprise the gratuity was already included in the bill. You don't have to provide much service when you already know you're guaranteed a tip. It's a good thing we didn't order drinks or the bill would have been more outrageous for the quality of food we received. I give them 2 stars because I didn't try the duck (which is supposed to be great but shouldn't be all that's great) and the experience left a memorable laugh for the date. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, sadly.

It was just okay, I wouldn’t rave about the food, and it’s way too expensive for non-stellar food. We sat at the back patio which was charming and had two large heaters, but we wished the music matched the charm.

Not very good at all … Food was below average and not even remotely like a French restaurant. Limited menu, small portions - seems like the chef isn’t trying or the customers don’t know what French food is

We had the pressed duck dinner and it was outstanding. Our waitress was excellent and made the evening so nice. Attentive without bugging us. Drinks were great and just overall an amazing experience. We will definitely be back!!

I thought for tasting menu with Yangban it would lean more towards Korean which i wanted. For $175 pp just ok

The entrees we had were amazing but the rest of the experience was extremely average. I had wanted to come to Pasjoli for a long time so it was disappointing. The appetizers were not good. The tartare was flavorless and the escargot was ok. Service was also extremely average for a restaurant of this caliber. Our waiter was not very attentive with water and wine refills. Wine list is long, but very expensive. When asked for recommendations for a cheaper bottle, the sommelier became very disinterested. I don’t think asking for recommendation for a bottle of wine under $150 is something to be snobby about. Overall left a terrible impression.

Went in for a special event in which everyone prepaid ~$170 per person. The food was good, but not accessible to all types of eaters. This is fine, but the menu wasnt known until we arrived. Service was great. Drinks were almost $30 for a glass of wine plus 18% gratuity on top, which after prepaying ~$170 for the food felt very steep. They charged us $9 for an additional loaf of bread after telling us that essentially every course should be paired with bread...In all the food was good (not great) but I definitely felt the value was not at all there and this should have cost closer to $80 a person. I could have paid that same amount and gotten an amazing meal of my choosing at a nice restaurant along with appetizers and drinks. Live and learn I guess.

Made our reservation here while visiting Santa Monica, for two reasons; I thought (incorrectly) it was a one Michelin Star restaurant, and the chef was from Chicago and had been at Alinea and Next. So I had high expectations. The restaurant was nice and we were seated outdoors in the “Secret Garden”. The menu was a la carte and I was beginning to suspect it wasn’t a Michelin star rated restaurant. Wife and I shared an onion tart and both ordered swordfish. The onion tart was quite good, but not OMG good as you might expect at a Michelin rated restaurant. The swordfish was also quite good, but lacked enough of the sauce and the wife thought it was dry. Dessert was a rice pudding that was very good and included pineapple and candied almonds. Overall a nice dining experience, but (my fault), was not the Michelin experience I hoped for.

Always unexpected. We had the veal and sweetbreads which were perfectly offset by the lemon and salad frisee. The gruyere was more than we needed, but the steak tartare and escargot were beyond reproach.

Ordered an aged steak and wasn't to crazy about the lack of tenderness that should come with an aged steak. Overall excellent service and the swordfish was amazing.

The staff were incredibly snooty which is strange especially since every single one looked like they’d just rolled out of bed and couldn’t bother to put a comb through their hair. This is not a fine dining restaurant. You will be served mediocre food by a team of miserable looking newly-turned adults who clearly would be anywhere else than there. I wont be back.

Every experience at Pasjoli is always fantastic and tonight's special PJ & Friends dinner was phenomenal! This is the perfect neighborhood bistro and the meals are fantastic.

My boyfriend and I had a great dinner at Pasjoli. The duck is fantastic, same with the cocktails. We sat in the outdoor garden and enjoyed the ambiance. Feels very private, separate from the street.

Pajoli was an unexpected find while I was in LA on business from Chicago. The food and service were perfect. Learning that Chef worked at 3 of Chicago's finest, most popular restaurants was also unexpected. I would highly recommend pasjoli for great food and service.

We went to Pasjoli for a special night that had a Thai chef working in the kitchen with Chef Beren. The restaurant just started to do this and they will bring in guest chefs for special meals. It is a set menu and a set price. Although pricey it was an exceptional evening. The food was outstanding! It was a great experience.

I knew Chef Dave was a great chef after an amazing meal at the now closed Dialogue, for some reason we finally just made it to Pasjoli and I am sorry we waited so long. The food was exceptional the gratin dish had potatoes sliced so thin, you could almost see through them, but not really the cheesy deliciousness hid it very well but just loved the thin texture. I had the Boeuff and since I took 3 hours of French class in high school so I pronounced it right when I ordered it and our uber attentive waiter said he was very impressed with my pronunciation. Have to say, I dont mind being complimented, it made the experience that much more delightful. Also had some little round ball dish, I dont recall the name but I cant forget the sauce that you get to pour over it. When the waiter tried to take the little container away my wife almost slapped him because she insisted on dipping anything else she had left to gather the last drop of amazingness. Cant wait to go back! Oui Oui.

I was disappointed. We had been here pre-COVID and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Part of that experience was the "pressed duck show" table side presentation. We ordered the duck again but were not advised that the "show" is no longer part of the program. We had guests from out of state. No one raved about any of the food except the beet salad. We had monkfish and sturgeon. Good. Not great. Appetizers: gouger, pate, deviled eggs were all very good. Server - Chris -was attentive. We spent nearly $800 for 4 people with no wine or dessert. The value proposition is not good. We sat in the garden which was quiet but looked like a space set up for COVID dining. No charm.

As a repeat customer over years having had great food in past visits I was very disappointed with the what was supposed to be the amazing dry aged steak! While it was cooked to right temp the meat was extremely tough and lots of sinew all over the steak .it may as well been inexpensive supermarket steak. The service staff were all great my server Luke was kind and attentive I can not say same with manager or whoever was in charge of kitchen! While disappointed hopefully next visit will bring my faith back in consistent great food .
