The only complaint I have is that the server let us sit with our dirty dishes. Came to the table at the end of the meal to ask if we needed anything else - left the dishes. Brought the check to the table - left the dishes. Came and took the check - left the dishes. Finally the hostess came by and we handed them to her. I understand this a casual place, but this is basic service. Never let your customers sit with their dirty dishes. Even if it is someone else's job to clear them. If you are at the table and dinner is over, take the dirty dishes away when you leave. Other than that, the service was very good and the food and ambience were fantastic.

Was not very busy. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. Split the pecan roll as a starter. Definitely will get again. One had breakfast burrito one had eggs benedict. No meat in burrito. Was good but I would have liked the sauce inside. Eggs benie was very flavorful and cooked as requested. Bloody Mary tasty but not spicy. Mimosa was forgettable.

I don’t do a lot of reviews. In the case of Parlor I don’t mind at all. Everything is great. Happy Hour is a treat and the beers are pretty good.

I was looking for a restaurant that wasn't in West Des Moines or Downtown Des Moines to celebrate my wife's birthday... just something different. We were blown away by the service, the environment, the food, and the overall vibe. The place is just fantastic, and we plan to return often.

We had the spicy meatballs, a half and half pizza, and a cinnamon roll for dessert. It was all delicious and for about $50 totally worth it for a date night!

Tried the happy hour pizza slices. Everyone got what they wanted and enjoyed their food. FYI… a “slice” is actually 2 slices and $3.99 during happy hour. Great deal! Brooklyn was an amazing server. Can’t wait to go back!

not very very crowded but found the noise level very high as it was difficult to eat and maintain a moderate conversation tone to be able to be heard even across the table. Waitress was very good knew her products and did not hover but asked twice if our food was good and if we needed refills etc. Food was excellent.

When we arrived, they said that our reservation wasn’t in their system despite the fact that I reserved on Open Table and showed them the confirmed reservation. They said it would be about 25 minutes to be seated. Very disappointed. We have small children and make reservations for a reason. We also waited over 45 minutes to receive our food after the apps and kids plates were served. The kids were well finished with their meals before we even received ours. Poor experience and won’t go back.

We enjoyed our breakfast at the Parlor. We sat near the window which was a bit cool. Our server was great and greeted us with a smile. The food was very good. It was a different spin on breakfast classics. I wish there was a bit more variety, though. Only having white toast and the homemade English muffins was different than most restaurant breakfast offerings. I would have appreciated a wheat option. The English muffins were delicious but they were on the smaller side. The homemade jams/ preserves was a treat and were amazing. It would also be nice to substitute fruit for the breakfast potatoes. The portion sizes were generous and a good value for the price.

The Detroit pizza does not match a true Detroit style, I am from Detroit, JETS pizza is much better. The service was ok. We ordered 2 pizzas, one was a specialty pizza. There was a green olive topping that was in the pizza but had no mention of it on the menu. When we asked the server and then the manager, both just kind of responded OH and blew us off. Not even an explanation or sorry or anything. Poor service considering they were not packed.
