Parish Line Bistro Bar, formerly Metry Cafe, is a concept and vibe conceived by longtime friends Mickey Parenton, Mickey Loomis, Gabe Corchiani and John Georges.

Our menu, inspired by Chef Chris Wilson, features memorable dishes that will leave you wanting more. Our rooftop, open-air dining is the only space like it in Metairie.

Unfortunately the place is having difficulties. We were told they have new management. There weren’t many people there on a Saturday night, many empty tables. The menu is super brief. They no longer have the lobster roll, the chicken thigh dish - several others we previously enjoyed. They have NO DESSERTS. The one highlight of our meal was the “Parmesan miso biscuits” which were described to us as being like a fried hush puppy on the outside and a beignet on the inside. They were outstanding. Our server Al was nice and as helpful as he could be under the circumstances.

This is my second appearance at parish line and I’ve enjoyed it again. This time I had the PCC burger and truffle fries and had two jungle cat drinks which tasted great. I will definitely be making a third appearance again soon.

Fried chicken sandwich was delicious, just a bit small. Outside deck is amazing. Server was very sweet.

Beautiful spot for brunch, food was bland and eggs cold when served. Steak and eggs had no steak seasoning. Out of two items we tried to order. Service was great and they shared they are undergoing new management/owners and revamping menu. They tried to provide a gift card (we declined since from out of area). I would try it again if I’m in New Oleans area to give it another fair try.

We ate on the outdoor rooftop/balcony. I had the tuna appetizer and the Mexican corn. Both were awesome. My husband had the chicken sandwich. It came with skinny fries. He said it was cooked perfectly and had good flavor. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Overall we had a great time, we would go back again soon.

Went to brunch on a Sunday. Had a reservation. There was only one waitress upstairs and one “helper”? It took a while to get our orders in and to get our food. Thankfully bottomless mimosas were being filled in a timely manner. The table next to us left because they arrived 30 min prior to their reservation and had to wait more than an hour to get their food. Hangover burger was delicious!

Great experience! We sat on the rooftop level that was open to the street, and it felt amazing. Free shots every time the train passed!

Service was fantastic. We had a group of 9 and we’re seated on the patio. Even though the temp was low, the heaters kept us warm. We were pretty loud for the other guests, but we received no complaints. The drinks were amazing and the food was delicious. Thank you to our server and Parish Line for accommodating 9 friends with some over 40 years of friendship!

Really great appetizers - would definitely recommend the street corn, Brussels sprouts and hummus. Cauliflower was ok. Main courses need some improving including more vegetarian options. Drinks were incredible!! Quiet for our all ladies party so we got to talk and catch up!

Jack, our waiter, was fantastic. Super friendly and very attentive. There was an issue with my order and he made sure to take care of it even before I knew that there was an issue. He went above and beyond to take care of me.

First time in. We had out pick for seating so we chose the upstairs patio. The train was passing and we were offered a special complimentary shot! Fun idea. The train was passing again as we got in the car to leave so I almost ran inside to ask for another lol. Lobster Avocado salad was good but the Redfish Tacos were my fave.

We always enjoy the yummy Brussel sprouts, Mexican corn, cauliflower, pita, hummus, and citrus salad. Last night we tried the warm buttered lobster roll and cocktails , while upstairs in open air and watching LSU. It’s a great neighborhood place with healthy choices!

Nicole, the manager, checked on us all night to make sure we were happy with the food and the service. Albert, our waiter, was very attentive and met all of our requests. Chris, the bartender, recommended after dinner drinks which tasted like dessert. All in all we had an excellent experience.

This was our first time having dinner at the Parish Line. First we tried the Wednesday night 3 for 1 cocktail specials. Both the Old Fashion and the Coconut Margarita were nicely prepared. Everything was excellent! beginning with the Tuna ceviche, Brussels Spouts and Corn appetizer which were beautifully prepared as well as each being large portions. Finally we had the Wango Burger which was tender and juicy with lots of flavors. It also came with a large order of French Fries. We look forward to our next visit soon.

My cocktail was the bomb. However, our food was very bland and not seasoned well. The service and the ambiance were fantastic. I would only recommend this spot for the cocktails and the bar not for the food.

The food was very good except the french fries were cold. One of the guests at our table had his meal brought to him 30 minutes after we got our meal. The waiter acknowledged that it was unacceptable, but it was never an option to comp the meal. Not sure what happened to the place since our last visit at the end of May which was excellent. Other than food being good, service and ambience was lacking.

The service was very friendly. The strange part to me is the pricing. Food was good, not exciting. I had the smoked salmon appetizer, which was good, but I couldn’t find anything small enough to have in addition. $23 for French fries is ridiculous. I didn’t see any small salads listed and even soup was very expensive. We chose the restaurant based on the Eater NOLA list of restaurants in old Metairie. I wonder if they actually bothered to go there. I could make a list of restaurants on Metairie Road that would be equally informative.

Food was mediocre. Got the daily special chicken parm and the chicken was WAY over cooked and dry. Spaghetti was spaghetti and the sauce was fine. Also got appetizers that were just ok. Service was good but the place was empty so it should be. Value is TERRIBLE. When it was all said and done I spent $170. My date had two drinks, I had zero. We got two small appetizers and two entrees. I don’t consider myself a master chef but I can make better dishes at home. I was embarrassed I chose this place for a first date. Will never be back.

Excellent meal! Salad, whole roasted cauliflower, roasted chick thighs with spaghetti, burger - generous portions, fresh, perfectly balanced ingredients and flavors. Our server, Jack, is a rock star! We felt most welcomed here and the safe parking area is a plus! We will most certainly soon be back to Parish Line Bistro!

One item on the menu was out, so that was disappointing. However, the server and chef had a half order of the dish and offered it to us on the house, which was nice. We would probably return. We sat at an indoor table downstairs, where it was a little crowded and noisy. The rooftop looked neat, with large tvs, but no bar, and too hot for a summer in NOLA!

Brussel sprouts app was well cooked but over sauced. Focacia was ok. Salads were pretty good, but (Wagu) beef in top was underwhelming. Burger was run of the mill. Fries seemed pre-made. Overall, I was underwhelmed and would not go back.

Limited expensive menu Quality very good (except the ice cream sandwhich) However if I’m paying that much for drinks and food I want the service to match it No one greeted us upstairs after being seated for our reservation for 10 min and we had to flag someone down finally. Burgers came out they were delicious but weren’t dressed only pickles on the side When ordered the Server asked if we wanted everything on it…. We said yes What is everything? The cookie dessert- we love dessert Disappointed The gelato was great Cookies were hard as rocks couldn’t break them or eat w fork or spoon they had to be cut. Stale!?

The atmosphere upstairs was very lovely except there were many flies buzzing around the food due to open patio. Might consider screening area?

It was not crowded and the service was slow. Value compared to some other places in the area are on the high side. The food was good but not great. The brussels sprouts are excellent. Ambience is excellent.
