Hidden gem located in Old Mandeville Town Center. Conveniently located on the corner of Lafitte and Woodrow, across from the Mandeville Trailhead, blocks from the Lakefront.

Papillon's consists of an intimate fine dining room located on the second floor, featuring house specialties such as the Beef Wellington (hand cut filet wrapped in phyllo dough and baked to perfection). On the bottom floor is Angolo del Vino Wine Bar and Gelateria, serving Papillon's full menu which features award-winning meatballs, and wine on tap.

We dined for my birthday in March and it was excellent. Couldn’t wait to go back for Mother’s Day. We waited about 20 minutes passed our reservation for our table to be ready. Once we were seated, the table was missing napkins and plates which wasn’t noticed by our waiter when the cornbread was served. We were into the entree before drinks were served, with empty water glasses, that were never refilled. Our salads were brought literally stacked on top of each other. The salads and soup were delicious, as was the dessert. The entree was mediocre, we had them all between the four of us. It pained me to pay the bill. We had Canes for dinner and it was a better meal with better service for 1/10 of the price. We tried to reach out before leaving a review and the phone was answered, perhaps accidentally. My husband heard someone say, “We’re not taking any calls. We’re about to close” Really disappointing experience.

Hi Lori, first let me call you out on your untruthfulness. You were sat at 2:04 and there were no plates to be set. We purposely minimally set the tables to make for a faster turn over. Now let me call you out on your lack of empathy and entitlement . It may not have been perfect, but every single person in here worked their butts off so that you could pick literally the busiest day of the year for every restaurant in the country to celebrate mothers day. You may or may not have called who knows but it really pains me that we had to serve someone like you. Canes sounds right up your alley. Sorry not sorry...Papillon

I apologize Chris, looking at the reservations it looks as though you were aware of the preset menu. It would be extremely difficult to execute our menu on such a challenging day as Mothers day. I apologize if it wasn't up to our usual standards. The staff worked extremely hard trying to make a great day for everyone. Hope to take better care of you next time.

It’s a perfect place to celebrate an anniversary. We arrived and had roses on the table and received complimentary champagne due to it being our anniversary. The ambiance was romantic. The service and food were superb. We’d highly recommend it. It’s a little more expensive, but it was worth it to us. We had a memorable experience.

Our party of five, had a wonderful experience! The service and food were exceptional. Our waitress was so very attentive and polite the entire meal. We felt as though she was catering just to our table. We definitely will be back!

When a group of 4 is dining table talk should not be as loud as talking on the street . The dining room has nice drapes on the windows but the table walls echo the voices if not next to them . If a bubbling bistro is what you’re looking for this could be what you’re looking for.

The beet salad and my veal Ross was amazing! The view of the balcony with beautiful vines and flowers was gorgeous and the thermoses for mosquitoes was set up perfectly!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Papillon’s and everything was fantastic! We have eaten downstairs in the bar area before, this was the first time we had dinner upstairs. We were treated extremely well by everyone. Our server started us with a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary, which was unexpected but very appreciated. Our server was fabulous! She had the answers to all of our questions and was fun, sweet, and very professional all rolled up into one. The food was great! We had the chivalini, mussels, and burrata as appetizers. All were amazing! My husband had the Osso Bucco and I had the Veal Rosa Maria. Both were fabulous and I highly recommend. For dessert we both had the tiramisu, which was a delicious ending to a great meal. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will be back!

Overall, the food seems to have changed since the last time we visited. The bruschetta, which was one of our favorites, was very different and we much prefer it the way it was.

The food was great. There are not too many Rests. that know how to do. Beef Welington The bar downstairs is staffed with friendly bar tenders one in particularly who know how to make you feel wanted and appreciated. Drinks were great. Atmosphere is good. Rowland S

Food was excellent. Service wonderful. We were seated out on the balcony and it was very chilly. Was disappointed that the chef made his rounds greeting people in the dining room but made no effort to visit the customers braving the cold on the balcony.

Hi Mark, thank you for the review. I try to touch every table when I get a chance to come out of the kitchen. I promise it wasn't because it was cold outside that I didn't get to come visit your table. It was extremely busy in the restaurant that night and I popped out of the kitchen for a few minutes to say hello to some friends from out of town. Honestly, I didn't even realize that their were tables outside that evening. I was under the impression that the outside tables moved downstairs to the lounge due to the weather. So I apologize that you had to sit outside and weren't given the option to seat in the lounge.

The restaurant’s ambiance was 5 stars. However, due to it being a fine dining experience (with fine dining prices) my husband and I were very disappointed to receive a cold entree. We split the beef Wellington (which was good) and the lobster ravioli (which was cold). If it weren’t for being served cold food we would give the restaurant another chance.

Our food does not sit longer than the time it takes to plate, however we should have paid closer attention before sending it out. Why did you not say anything to your server? We would have been more than happy to make this right for you. I also sorry to see that you wouldn't give us another try based on this mistake.

Nice atmosphere, pleasant server. Appetizers were lovely and the steak risotto was excellent. Five shrimp on the shrimp scampi for the price was a bit of a puzzlement. Dessert lovely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Papillon's! Incredible food and wonderful service made for a great evening! While the restaurant was a little loud, it would not stop me from returning. Matter of fact, my husband and I both wondered why we don't patronized Papillon more often.

Service was very nice. Disappointed with the reduced menu, the items I liked were no longer there. Food was alright but with quality restaurants in the area, can't see going back.

I've always gone downstairs for drinks and food. This was my first time upstairs. My husband's two brothers were in town, and we decided on Papillon's. I am so glad we did. The service was great....the food was great as usual....and for the first time, I tried dessert. It was amazing. This hidden gem is a great asset to Mandeville.

The best meal I’ve had on the north shore. I got the Duck Confit and it was absolutely delicious. It was tender enough I could have eaten it with a spoon and incredibly flavorful. My wife got the lobster ravioli and it was also incredibly good; and I’m not even a fan of lobster. For dessert we got the tiramisu and the gelato. (I forget the actual name of the flavor, but it was vanilla with flakes of chocolate in it) Both were also great. The service was excellent, neither my water glass nor my tea glass ever got below half before I had more. We didn’t wait terribly long for our food before it arrived, and we never went too long without someone checking in on us. Overall the entire experience was fantastic. I absolutely recommend eating here when you’re craving a good, quiet sit down meal.

Restaurant looks like it's in what used to be a Southern looking house. Very charming. All employees were friendly and helpful. Service was good. Food was served in a timely manner and hot. I had the Veal "Rosa" or something like that. The veal was fork tender. Served over angel hair pasta and a delicious cream sauce with an artichoke heart and mushrooms. Would have liked more than one artichoke heart. No salad included which would have been nice considering the $42 price. Hubby had Shrimp Scampi. He thought it was a bit too spicy but he is a tender foot in all fairness. I thought it was great. Again, no salad included. All in all we enjoyed our meal and our night out at Papillon's.

Me and my husband came here for Valentine’s Day and everything was absolutely amazing. The service was very attentive and the food - 10/10! We got the meatballs with ricotta for an appetizer, honestly so shocked at how good these were. I’m usually picky about red sauce but their red sauce was delicious! My husband got the Lobster Ravioli which he couldn’t stop raving about and I got the Veal Rosa Maria. Do your self a favor and get the tiramisu, I’ve never had tiramisu that good. And the espresso martini in a chilled glass, best one I’ve ever had. Not gonna lie. We were impressed and will definitely be back!

Great experience! We had dinner here for Valentine’s Day and it didn’t disappoint!! I wanted to try the bruschetta since I’ve heard rave reviews, but there was a spinach dip with toasted ciabatta special so we ordered that instead—but my husband already knows we’re going back for that bruschetta! He had the Veal Rosa Maria, and the veal was cooked perfectly. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it’s the best I’ve had—tender and rich with lots of lobster bits. We were seeing Casablanca right after dinner, and our waitress was so accommodating and friendly. We can’t wait to go back!

Early Valentine’s dinner with my wife. Every bite of food we tasted was amazing! Our server, Morgan, was one of the best servers I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been in restaurant management for nearly 20 years. Such a memorable dining experience!
