Our waiter looked very distracted. I ask him something about the menu and he was quick and short about it . When it came to dessert. My chocolate soufflé was burnt (the top) and when I mentioned it he smiled and gave me a thumbs up. I don’t think he was listening. I felt the service could have been better. We were a family of four. Lastly, the restrooms was dirty.

Let's start with the outstanding: Iris, our waitress was efficient, personable, and a delight. Her attitude was upbeat even when we were not ready to order multiple times. And, when we asked about ingredients because of my friend's food allergy, she checked with the chef more than once and had a positive attitude the whole time. As noted in earlier reviews on this site, I am a part owner of a popular (40+ years) restaurant in NYC and I hope that all of our employees are as terrific as Iris was. Onward. The outdoor space is quite attractive with well-spaced tables and pleasant surroundings. The noise from Venice Blvd is oddly muffled. That is a good thing. The food is inventive, often as slight variations from the normal preparation one sees. Both Karen and I enjoyed the scallops on half shell, tart with a bit of a kick--sort of an amuse bouche. I'll take a pass on the burrata with prosciutto, mostly tasteless, even the meat. The chutney was a plus, but the dish is not a showstopper. Because of her allergy, Karen passed on the Singapore corn, a whipped dip with an infinite jest of flavors. I liked it, but it might be too sweet for some. We both enjoyed the eggplant Parmesan, with little cheese but a lot of smoky flavor. Finally, we had the Bronzino, prepared differently from the dozens of Bronzini Karen and I have eaten before. Cut thick and seasoned with a bit of chili or similar spice, it came across as baked rather than broiled (my taste buds might have betrayed me here). Variations on a Bronzino theme are always welcome to me, but Karen found it too un-Bronzino-like to like it. We skipped desert as we had to try to emulate the young, trim crowd who were dining "with" us on the patio--very Venice-now folks.

Had a lovely birthday lunch. Everyone at the restaurant was very nice. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive and the food and wine were great. Beautiful restaurant, friendly folks and great food. A little pricey but worth it

Food was decent enough but not for the price. The dips were expensive and bread was not provided and had to be bought for the dips. Sides were small and also not included in meals. Great ambience and nice staff but food was overall a let down. Not worth the approximate $100 per person.

Food and atmosphere were great. But our waitress was terrible. She acted as if it was a huge effort for her to take care of us. She was not attentive at all and acted as if she just wanted to do the bare minimum. It was very disappointing as we were there to celebrate my daughter’s birthday.

We took a couple of friends there for a birthday and it was an excellent experience. We’ve driven by this restaurant many times, but didn’t realize what was beyond the outer walls and it’s such a beautiful restaurant with most amazing ambience. It’s a great place for a group or a date. The food and service were outstanding and we left there so pleased with the experience and can’t wait to come back!

Great ambiance in Venice. Great food. Drinks are pricey. Service is ok, -not very attentive. Gave us water and disappeared for 30mins. Just a note: expect a $15 extra charge for benefits at the end. Plus, even though our service did not deserve a 22% tip, she added it then asked me to sign. Not really fair, so it was $100 extra in surcharges. Check your bill!

Paloma Venice is a charming restaurant, especially with its fairy lights and heaters creating a cozy atmosphere on the outdoor patio. The main room is adorned with lots of plants and rattan pendant lights, adding to the ambiance. The service was excellent; our waiter was very knowledgeable and described the delicious ceviche sauce and crispy chips made of Toro in detail. He checked on us frequently to ensure we were enjoying our meal, and the busboy was attentive, regularly replenishing our glasses. The highlight, however, was the food. We started with the ceviche, which was outstanding! The fresh fish paired perfectly with the lime juice, soy sauce, and ponzu sauce in the sauce. For our main courses, we tried the salmon on black rice and the sea bass, both of which were excellent choices. We were pleasantly surprised since we had no expectations. We will definitely be back for more!

great food service and ambience! often dine here when i am in town. this last time we had a horrible table in dark back corner. I am assuming we got this table because we brought our 2 young grandkids. we came early and no-one was in restaurant yet. They weren't very accommodating.

We entertained a friend from the east coast. All 3 of us loved our meals and dessert. The service was prompt and friendly. Noise level is just right to make for a lively Friday night but still be able to have a conversation.

Amazing smokey eggplant appetizer! Sea bass carpaccio was also delicious. The waiter wasn’t very knowledgeable about gluten allergies but was kind and helpful. Outdoor settings was 10/10! Would recommend for a nicer meal out.

Good location for an afternoon in Venice Great relaxing ambience and beautiful decor. Food was good but portions were small for the price. Service was a bit slow even though it was kind of empty. But all in all we had a good time.

The lack of vegan options were surprising. I picked the fennel orange salad, which was a terrible choice. My friend was surprised with her main course and its lack of flavor. Cocktails were meh. There was no music, all you hear is noise of people and employees. After seeing amazing pictures of the place on all over social media we wanted to try. But they are definitely not worth it.

Paloma has become our neighborhood go-to for brunch and dinner without a hassle. Not only has the service greatly improved since it first opened but they’ve done some great site improvements;.Their already amazing patio now has a clear tent over it for those windier nights. We had a wonderful experience, the food was excellent and the service was flawless. We were in town for a conference so we were a group of 10 but the service was fast and paced perfectly! The ambiance at this restaurant is also beautiful
