Had an enjoyable meal. Went during jazz brunch. Musicians stopped by our table and played a song for us. Had bananas foster for dessert. Made the dessert on a cart brought to our table with a flambae

Food was very good. Mushroom crostini appetizer was excellent! Seafood Tcheforte (sp?) and seafood pasta both great. Bananas Foster super delish. Service was a bit slow but we were in no hurry so didn't really mind. Would definitely go back.

We celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary in New Orleans this week and had a very special dinner at the Palace Cafe. We were greeted and after a very short wait we were seated. Our server acknowledged our special occasion and took our drink orders. Our cocktails arrived quickly and we ordered a crabmeat cheesecake for an appetizer which was fabulous! We had a Weirlein Salad and a wonderful shrimp & crabmeat pasta dish for our entrees. We finished our meal with a bananas foster made at our table. This restaurant has never failed to impress us! We will definitely return on our next trip to new Orleans!

I have eaten at Palace Cafe numerous times in the past with very favorable opinions. This was the first time I have eaten breakfast there. From the very limited menu to the mediocre service, I DO NOT recommend Palace Cafe for breakfast. Eggs overcooked, burnt cheddar biscuits (which had no cheddar that I could locate or taste), and dry grits. For a Brennan's Family restaurant, Palace Cafe was very disappointing.

Had a lovely lunch at Palace Cafe. I ordered the andouille crusted fish. It was tender and full of flavor. I loved the sauce over it and the warm French bread they serve.

This is my favorite Restaurant in the French Quarter. The food is excellent. Not the most attentive waiter but truly enjoy the atmosphere and food.

We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Palace Cafe. We got there unexpectedly early and staff was very gracious to seat us as soon as they could. Price is worth it when service level and quality of food are both terrific. The Bananas Foster made at table side is excellent and fun and comes with a story! How do you beat that?

Breakfast was delicious, but a very adult experience. Limited breakfast menu, and my son ordered the chicken and waffle and was still hangry when he was done. Portions were just meeting adequate, but prepared well

Went to the Sunday Jazz Brunch - menu is limited but my daughter and I found some good choices. The Shrimp and Grits were top notch. My daughter really enjoyed her salad - she added the grilled chicken; I got a taste and it was juicy and well marinated. Vibe was great - band went around to tables but luckily we weren’t a “victim”. Overall a great experience.

The crabmeat cheesecake was unique & remarkable Service was outstanding and efficient. The specialty cocktail was perfect. The Pinot Noir was ordinary.

The food was traditional and outstanding. The jazz trio was excellent and played a wide range of songs. The champagne was crisp, dry, and refreshing. Excellent brunch. I highly recommend Palace Cafe.

The food was excellent as always. The service was perfect. We had a crying baby at our back but it happens to everyone occasionally. The prices have certainly increased in the last 18 months. I guess that is why the first floor dining room was nearly empty on a Friday night. Crawfish cheesecake and Bananas Foster were over the top as always.

The food and service at this restaurant is always superb. Today we were quite unnerved by the Chef/expediter that seemed to have a frantic, false sense of urgency. He was running all over the dining room, slamming down tray stands and swinging trays over peoples heads and also through standing people. He is an accident waiting to happen. He was flying up and down the stairs as though it was a “timed” event. He also jumped up and slapped the doorway as he was returning to the kitchen a few times? Other tables were talking about it as he was quite a distraction for a nice lunch. This behavior is rude and unprofessional. Not sure what his panic is! But he needs to calm down.

Dena was an outstanding server and all her suggestions were excellent. We split the crabmeat cheesecake which was yummy, and Dena provided me with a recipe card to take home. Our entrees were the gumbo yaya and crawfish etouffee which were both delicious. My husband asked for some shrimp to add in and they were grilled and seasoned perfectly. Finally, Dena prepared the bananas Foster tableside and shared both how the dish got its name and how I could prepare it at home.(not happening!)A fun night!

Had dinner here a few years ago and it was very good. The ambiance is still good but the food was well below par this time I had the crawfish and my wife the mussels. Both portions were of poor quality, tasteless and extremely small and meager portions. Service was extremely slow and it was very noisy. I do not recommend it and will not be returning again..

We were very disappointed with the food and the service. Had to ask three times for milk for coffee; coffee was no longer hot when it came. The four tiny slices of banana and n the bananas foster pancakes were brown and clearly not fresh. Cheddar biscuits were not available. The crepes with fresh berries were clearly not fresh. The entire dish was refrigerator temperature and the filling tasted only if cold cream cheese. Sad experience for a Brennen restaurant. The place was only about a quarter full so doesn’t seem to be an issue where staff was overwhelmed.

Disapointing experience at a restaurant I have gone to for years. They out of some menu items. Server seemed to disappear later in our experience. In a town with as many great choices as New Orleans has a restaurant has to be good. On this night Palace Cafe was not.

Lively bright restaurant! Was very busy but we had a reservation. My husband got the seafood pasta and it was excellent! Past was fresh, seafood and veggies too. I had the Shrimp Tchefuncte the mushrooms, sauce and rice were flavorful and delicious. The shrimp was a big disappointment not fresh at all. It had that aged supermarket been on the shelf too long flavor and smell. I should have sent it back! I had the crème brûlée for dessert which came topped with a couple of blackberries and was looking gut, not too sweet.

If you’re looking for a nice place to relax and listen to New Orleans jazz while you dine, this is not the place to go. Instead, it was very loud. Too loud to even communicate with the wait staff let alone, each other. I was excited to try a couple menu items but could not get past the extremely high, cafeteria like noise-level so we quickly downed our drinks, paid the check, and found a much better option a few blocks away. Very disappointed after reading such great reviews.

The food was really good as well as the entertainment. The only thing that could have happened better is we didn't receive our drinks until after the food arrived. I think that might have been an anomaly.

Palace is such a beautiful space. Our server, Dena, was attentive, friendly, helpful and delightful. The Lewis Carroll inspired cocktails were delicious, as was the crabmeat cheesecake.
