This is my third visit to Ovation Bistro in Lakeland. I especially like the Ovation Chicken dish and the 2 for 1 drinks. The only thing I would rate a little lower is the ambiance. It looks rather sterile...even the bar doesn't look warm and inviting. And the glass doors and windows need a good cleaning.

Ambiance was dark, booths were not solid, you could feel the person behind you when they moved. Staff were friendly enough. I wouldn't call them waiters, more servers. One went round the room 3 times looking for the table with the salads he had on his tray. Landed one of them on our table before we told him that we didn't order that. Service to put our meal in was slow but to get the food was adequate. I opted for 6oz sirloin, medium rare, loaded baked potato and baked beans. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned...lots of pepper which I like. Baked potato was hot and fresh beans were super nice. The cooks know what they are doing even if the service staff dont. Restaurant itself need some serious re-modeling. Like all restaurants these days, to manager/matre d' hotel cam to the table to check on food quality and service.

My appetizer plate was dirty first. Had to ask for silverware after receiving appetizers. When I ordered I ask for my salad dressing be put on side. Which was not. My baked potato was not cooked through and my steak, I couldn’t eat it because it was so tough. Just really disappointed. Then my ticket was not correct.

We had reservations for 630. We still had to wait for a table about 30 minutes so we set at the bar till a table was ready. We had points from being a Ovation member membership. We got a free bottle of wine which was very nice and they also gave, mom ‘s a $20 gift card. You can use anytime after Mother’s Day. We had my sister-in-law and brother-in-law with us and they had never been there. They really enjoyed it. Our meals were great except my steak was a little overcooked but still was good. ovations is one of my favorite restaurants, thank you Kim Cox

We ate at Ovation 4/27/24, Our waiter, Tyler G, was exceptional. We are new to town and wanted a good place to eat. I am so glad we found Ovation!

Lamb chops were so good! Our server was awesome. Loved her makeup. She was kind and attentive so made Easter meal super pleasant.
