OUT OF BOUNDS is thrilled to announce our entry to the local restaurant community. Uniquely located on the spectacular grounds of Cattail Crossing our stand-alone facility has two gorgeous south facing patios to enjoy the sunset while overlooking a stunning lakeside view.
Celebrating our regional heritage, our innovative menus will feature classic Canadian fare with a modern twist using where available sustainable, locally sourced products from small farms, growers and producers, always freshly made in-house. The Chef driven kitchen will produce, small plates, comfort food representing the international flavors of Canada today.
We will be THE neighborhood restaurant and bar where people want to drop in , celebrate, – a place where people gather for food , conversation, friends, family and fun.

Super friendly staff. The view out onto the golf course is beautiful and it’s not even spring or supper yet. The service was efficient and the wait staff came back a few times to check on us. Hannah was our server she was delightful. We went at dinner time. Had the creamy asparagus dip which was wonderful. The starter size kale Caesar salad was good, a bit on the spicy side. But as someone who can’t tolerate too much heat it was still palatable. I had the chicken and dumplings - chicken cooked perfectly, the dumplings were pillow soft, the veggies brought the right balance of crunch, acidity, and freshness to the dish. The only thing that didn’t add much to the dish was the herb sauce. Hubby had fish and chips, which is only served on Fridays. It looked amazing and it must have tasted good because he didn’t offer me any 😅. I honestly haven’t seen a nice looking basket of fried fish like that in a long time One son had the pepperoni pizza - the dough was obviously fresh and they were generous with the pepperoni and cheese. Another son had the steak frites - and honestly, this is more preference than a complaint - the cut of steak was cooked well but I would have preferred a thicker cut so that the flavor would pop more. He wasn’t a huge fan of the truffle fries but again, that was my bad for not reading the whole description. Our youngest had chicken fingers. They use the good quality chicken fingers and the portion was generous. Overall, a great experience and we will probably be back. The brunch menu looks amazing

Absolutely incredible! We had the spiced shrimp for our appetizer! It was so tender and delicious! My husband ordered the beef rib entree and he said it was extremely tender meat with so much flavour. The potatoes were tasty and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. My entree was the chicken and dumplings. The chicken was cooked perfectly as well and it had so much flavour. Very tender. The dumplings were hand made and the texture was amazing. So flavourful. The vegetables were tender. I absolutely enjoyed this dish. We ordered desserts after such a satisfying dinner. My husband had the flourless chocolate brownie! He loved it. I had the homemade cheesecake with raspberries. Unbelievable! It wasn’t overly sweet and if you love cheesecake as much as I do then order this dessert. Quality meals and desserts. All the portions were very generous and the food presentation was top notch. The atmosphere was lovely and away from the city hustle. The restaurant itself was very clean and our waitress did a superb job answering questions and giving recommendations. Plus, she was very friendly and polite. Overall we enjoyed our experience and we will definitely return again. Plus recommend this restaurant to others. Thanks for the fantastic hospitality and delicious food.

We came back to Out of Bounds after a hiatus of 6 months. We were not disappointed - the food was wonderful. The service (the reason we had not been back) was efficient and helpful, no complaints. We will definitely be back.

Kristin was great last night explained the menu ! Had two great appies the chorizo sausage and meatballs and 5 different mains all excellent ! Definitely a great place to try !

We had never been to Out of Bounds but always wanted to try and were very happy to spend Valentine's dinner there. I had no idea how close it is to St Albert or that the road it was on even existed. The greeting was warm and inviting. Our server Patricia was very friendly and quite funny and really good at her Job. The Food, well it was excellent we both had the short Ribs which were perfect did not need a knife at all it was so tender. The desert was crazy good, we had cheesecake and Pudding. I must say it was a perfect evening. without a doubt we will be back. i am looking forward to one of the Sunday roast beef dinners and will come back another night for fish and chips which I heard are also great. I must say i may have found my new favorite place.

Robin looked after us so well last night and the meal was superb! We thought the whole experience was first rate! We are members of the golf course and it is great to see the restaurant doing so well and providing excellent service. Makes being a member more valued.

Such a nice restaurant with a good feel but the food has gone downhill since this restaurant began. It is too bad that the only choices on Valentine Day were short ribs, cod and a vegetarian dish. 2 of the side dishes included carrots, how about some variety? The meat was dry and tasteless and the cod was dry and tasteless. The dessert was not creative or interesting. The service was great!

We had Robin as our server for 8 of us we have had her before she is fabulous she knows her stuff! She is super professional and friendly! We hope to come monthly on Sundays with groups of ppl!!

Second time we have ate here. Great food with a fresh twist to traditional plates. Always tasty and good. Service is outstanding and place is quiet and cozy. We plan to return with friends in the near future.

Noise was very bothersome, food was average bar eats had a window seat, could use a cleaning it made the restaurant seem dirty. Beers were good value. Won’t be returning

We came in with fairly high expectations with the exciting link to the hardware grill and they were not met. We were seated on the patio and it felt like we were forgotten out there. It took nearly an hour to get our food and only had one visit for additional drinks. The music was blaring so loud we couldn’t even hear each other. When our food came out my husbands order was incorrect so he had to wait for a second serving to be made. Overall the taste of the food was good, but the service was very lacking and the loud music made it not enjoyable. At this point we won’t be back.

Drove past this place on our way to St. Albert and thought it had potential. A little out of the way but decor is pretty fancy and feels like a fancy night out. It was pouring rain so no golfers. Place was 5% full Monday at 6:30PM. Lots of waitresses waiting around. Ours was great - kept our waters full and came back to check on us. Booths and tables available. I got the Veggie Burger with house salad. House salad looked pretty but I didn't like the dressing - my personal preference. Too balsamic/vinegar for me. Loved the peach salsa on it. Lots of avocado. Bun was great. Veggie Patty itself was meh. Not bad not best I've ever had. Friend1 got the Chicken Sandwich. Loved it. He was very happy with it. He got a side of the soup of the day which was cauliflower vegetable. Friend2 got the 10oz Beef Striploin. He asked for medium rare and found it was a little raw for him but perfectly edible. He liked the potatoes and cooked vegetable assortment he got. He was really confused about what the black garlic butter was as it looked really strange and he didn't have the menu to double check what it was supposed to be. Friend3 got the House Smoked Brisket. She was happy with this. Looked a little dry to me like it needed more BBQ sauce. She was able to ask for the horseradish aioli on the side. She got it with French Fries which were definitely freshly fried. Friend4 got the Chicken Chopped Salad. Loved it. Great big portion. Lots of great stuff in here. Overall decent food, great atmosphere, good staff.

Ordered the appetizer platter, it was fantastic! Very satisfying. Great value. Wine was tasty. And beautiful view of the golf course. Can’t wait to go back!

Food and service was very good. We found the main course menu was changed and limited from the last time we had been there which was some time ago. A few more added choices might be good.
