Chefs Nick Diaz and Kiefer Manning have been hard at work renovating the historic Chicago & Great Western Railroad Depot into a cozy and inviting restaurant for you to enjoy. Our Paladar offers a locally sourced, seasonal dinner menu most evenings. You can look forward to handmade breads and pastas along with small and main plates. What a wonderful find! We sat on the covered patio of the adorable transformed train station. We ordered the octopus, scallops & burrata - all of which were delicious. Beautiful to look at & even better to eat. Then we shared the short rib risotto & Mafalde & ended with the ice cream with olive oil & salt. I would say the risotto was the least “prettiest” but still delicious. Their smoke & spice cocktail was also super good & can’t forget to mention our server Alex who was knowledgeable & delightful. Everything came out perfectly. The spritz of the day was the only disappointment but was rectified with a smoke & spice next. The food was not over salty, everything seemed extremely fresh. Will definitely be returning the next visit to Rochester.

Excellent place to eat for a date night. Our server Adrian was attentive and provided great recommendations for our meal, although I don't think there would have been any wrong choices on the menu! Will absolutely be going back to check out their happy hour and for another dinner.

This was our second time at Our Paladar. Very cute building with great porch. Love the food here-unique menu with a mix of pasta dishes and familiar foods with a unique twist. Try the Yuca Fries-so good!

Service TopNotch, plating, menu choices, Mocktails, timing, Chef Nick & Kiefer ( Somalia) are personable! We adore the Depot setting; throws us back into a “CasaBlanca” feel! The fresh flowers are always a hit; a photogs dream! We’ll return, Mum’s Day, Easter, we’ve brought our house Guests for a dessert “Tres Leches” and a French Press! Ta Dah Gracias Sami & Dr.Mack

In short, this is just a REALLY nice place. Great food, made from scratch and from an adventurous and eclectic menu with very attentive and knowledgeable servers. Add in a really interesting and historic atmosphere and you have what Our Palador is - a super nice restaurant that is great for conversations that are bound to include how great the food and drinks are. Really glad to have this place in town!

Delightful Mother’s Day brunch on the patio. Cool breeze, great atmosphere and delicious food. Service was outstanding!

We arrived 20 min. early for a 7PM reservation & were seated within 5 minutes. Started with a shared grilled Caesar salad with anchovy breadcrumbs. Serving was enough for two and while I usually refuse anchovies, when prepared mixed into the breadcrumbs, they enriched the taste without fishiness. Corey our waiter did a nice job and apologized for unavailability of in-house made fresh focaccia that had failed to properly rise. I give chef props for not serving inferior product. My entrée was a small plate nicely grilled pork belly on succotash of corn, lightly sautéed zucchini atop a fresh pea and pea shoot herbed salad dressed with tangy crema that perfectly balanced the lardon's fat. My husband had the braised risotto short ribs with shiitake mushrooms & watercress which he raved about. We shared those 2 plates and enjoyed both. We'll return for chance to try their other interesting menu selections. One suggestion is replacing "one-size fits all courses" forks. Handle is too short and narrow to hold easily when we cut 1/2 head presentation of grilled romaine, our short ribs and lardons.

We’ve been coming to Rochester for checkups for years. There are a lot of great restaurants in this town but this one is at the top. Every meal our group of 4 tried was amazing and we all wanted to try so many other dishes on the menu. We’ll be back.

We had the arancini and oysters to start. They were phenomenal. Arancini is our new favorite - went very well with red wine. I had the short rib risotto - loved it and my wife had the chicken. It was a creative fresh dish that we’ll get again. Continue to be impressed with the creativity and execution at Our Paladar!!!

The fist was a little fishy. We ordered the banana dessert. They used a few slices of fresh banana and then banana chips. It would have e been Better to have just fresh bananas. I probably would not order again. Service was excellent.

The wait staff show keen interest in assisting your knowledge of the menu. They seem truly interested in their restaurant and want you to feel the same. Excellent dining experience in a restaurant with truly good food and service.

Everything was very good, except the main entrays. Risotto was very runny, not much flavor. The Mafalde was good but the meat was very, very salty. Our server Philipp, was outstanding!

Definitely one of the best meals I have had in Rochester! The homemade pasta is perfectly al dente and the combination of flavors the menu offers is outstanding. The cocktails are very thoughtfully crafted and greatly enhance the meal experience:) I’ll definitely be coming back!

The noise level was horrendous! We could not carry on a conversation at all & we had to ask our waiter to repeat what he was saying. The food was OK, but not outstanding. My husband definitely did not like his short rib risotto.

Wonderful dinner with friends from out of town. Food was inventive and fresh and pasta was clearly handmade which made all the difference. Wonderful drinks and all around great time!

I had such an incredible time. My friend recommended the scallops, which I thoroughly enjoyed. And then my friends and I also got bucatini and Brussels sprouts to share. I cannot wait to go back. Definitely a new favorite spot for me.

I was in town visiting a doctor friend at Mayo and they took me to Our Paladar. I was blown away— the ambiance, quality of the food, and service made it feel like we were out in NYC and not Rochester, MN! The cocktails were incredible and the short rib was cooked to perfection. 10/10 will definitely return when back in town!

The food was not fresh or tasty, some of the items were un eatable and too hard to even cut with the knife, looks like the food was prepared several hours earlier. The service was very good and to cocktails were good too.

All aspects of our dinner were top notch. Attentive, friendly, informed waitstaff and delicious food and drink. I have a dairy intolerance which I informed them of ahead of time. They took great care, contacting me to reassure me there were options available for me and had a menu prepped for me upon arrival. All of the dairy free options were delicious! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Food was fantastic with delicious flavors. I had the chicken paillard, with sides of roasted cauliflower and steamed white asparagus. I also got to try the braised octopus as an appetizer. All soooo good! The ambience at Our Paladar is really chill, although it was a bit noisier than usual because it was a crowded Friday evening. Service was excellent. The waiter was very helpful in guiding us through the options that could be gluten-free -- a requirement for one of our party. Despite the Friday night prime time dining slot, we had a delightful meal and conversation without feeling hurried. This place is a real gem.

We had another wonderful meal at Our Paladar. The menu had new additions and we tried three of the new items. We loved them all: arancini, white asparagus, and a new chicken dish.

We began our meal with an order of focaccia and hummus (served with warm pita bread) -- both were wonderful. My husband had the Mafalde wild boar ragu. I had the vegetarian dish, Gnudi. We were both pleased with our meals. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert so we shared a French Press of coffee. Although not the quickest, our server was sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Absolutely amazing!! Food was delicious, staff is so nice and extremely attentive, atmosphere is so nice too! Love this place so much!!! They are so good at accommodating my strict low sodium diet restriction, too.

Great service and excellent food. The pasta is home made, cooked Al dente and ragù sauce was really tasty. Pear sorbet was a great way to end a delicious meal.
