Fine Dining at its best in Boston. Amazing food, service and attention to detail. Salted sea bass was excellent, as were the starters. Will definitely return when we are next in Boston.

We've been visiting Boston for years. We are happy to have discovered Ostra. The ambiance is lovely. The oysters were great..all locally sourced. The ambiance is modern/lovely. The service was great. The food was..exceptional. We had the monkfish, paella and steak. Who would have thought I'd have one of the best steaks ever at a seafood place?

Perfecte bediening, professioneel en zeer sympathiek. Helemaal niets aan te merken op het eten, heel fijne avond gehad. Over twee weken zijn we er weer, met een groter gezelschap.

Normally I prefer bar seating when I'm eating alone, but I wouldn't recommend it here, based on my experience. While not literally bad, Ostra showed that good intentions can't replace competence.

We've eaten here many times, and it never disappoints. Excellent seafood from all the crudo's to all the fish entrees. Fresh, perfectly cooked with outstanding and courteous service. Our go to place in Boston our favorite place and we go out too many restaurants in Boston! Even the Bread is great!

Great service and excellent cuisine. If you are early there can be no room at the bar as we were told it was also reserved for seating.

I used to love this place, but cannot recommend this place anymore. Staff were rude, service was incredibly poor. We got salads and all other appetizers at the same time before our wine. Appetizers went cold by the time we finished our salad. After that we had to wait an hour for our main dish. It’s a pity, as I used to really like this place

Fantastic waitstaff at the bar! Very attentive and personable. I dined here before a performance at the Boch Center. I had the Malbec by the glass. Great selection! The owners of Ostra know the owners of the vineyard in Mendoza. The branzino was cooked to perfection. The broccolini was good too. The lemon snow egg dessert was delicious. I will return here again and again. Perfect dining experience before a performance at the Wilbur, Boch, or Emerson theaters.

Overall the food was good, oysters, calamari. However we ordered Paella which came out boiling hot, but was over dry (rice caked on bottom, sauce dried) and not worth $58. Service good but had to keep looking for waitress to refresh drinks. Tables very close at the side of the restaurant which takes away from ambience. Would not rush back.

Excellent service, good table away from a high noise level. We shared the octopus, tender and well prepared, a large serving. Main dishes swordfish tomahawk was tender, well seasoned, excellent, a very generous portion. My salmon was also good, but the swordfish took the night. Wine list extensive with a few good values, but you have to know your wines.

Overall I was very excited to try this restaurant with so many positive reviews but was very disappointed. The white wine list was small and lacked a good selection under $300, very disappointing. I had the sea bass which I thought was going to have a light butter sauce with lemon. It was overseasoned with what tasted like Montreal steak seasoning. my wife had the gnocchi appetizer, which she thought was good, but was very small. We had the broccolini with pin nuts, which was very good, and the dessert was a lemon meringue egg with basil. Quite shocking yet good. overall, we came here to try it out before I had a team dinner, and I’m glad I did. Atlantic Fish is my favorite seafood restaurant in Boston and I thought it was so much better than this restaurant. The selection of fish was poor, the wine selection was mediocre, and the overall service was average. The people who delivered the food had no idea what they were serving.

Always consistent and always fantastic. I go anytime in Boston and have been a customer for the past 10+ years. The personalized car service was a new feature for me and really set the tone for the experience with my guests the minute we were picked up at our hotel. Beautiful dining room and quality staff set it apart from many restaurants. Thanks for a great night.
