Osterias have always been a staple of Italian dining culture. Back in the day, it used to be a place serving wine and simple food.
In the last 30 years, with the introduction of the slow food movement, Osteria got a relevant role in the Italian dining scene. Emphasis shifted to food made with local produce, shot menus and specialities such as house-made pasta, served to share in the middle of the table.
Our aim at Osteria Morelli is to showcase all the beautiful produce of the Northern Rivers, using Italian techniques and principles. On our menu, you will find homemade pasta, daily baked focaccia, fruit and veggies from amazing local farmers and only the best meat and fish available on the day.

    Meals and service were fantastic, we were a bit concerned by the amount of strong flavours in some of the dishes on the menu, but when the food came out we found that the flavours were very well balanced. We will be back again

    Very disappointed & would never recommend this restaurant. Service was non welcoming, 30 minutes for water, food was tasteless, pasta tough. When complained about all this, staff not interested

    Delicious flavourful authentic cuisine! You could taste the freshness of local ingredients that reminded me of my nonna’s amazing cooking! Service was attentive & helpful. Everything we ate was delicious but standouts were the focaccia and casoncelli (filled pasta) - all homemade.

    Last night we had the $65 buffet. The food selection was outstanding and all the dishes were sizeable. The best $65 meal going around. Would totally recommend.

    Fantastic food, pasta melted in your mouth and steak was cooked to perfection. So much flavour and good portions. We also had the whipped ricotta and tomato focaccia and the fries, again all cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back.
