I had dinner at Osteria Barocca, yesterday and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The food at this restaurant is simply amazing. The pizza was perfectly cooked, with a crunchy crust and a delicious blend of toppings that left me wanting more. It was one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. But the real standout for me was the beets salad. It was an absolute delight. The combination of fresh, earthy beets with tangy dressing and a variety of other ingredients created a harmonious explosion of flavors in my mouth. It was truly a salad to die for. Not only was the food outstanding, but the atmosphere at Osteria Barocca was also very inviting. The restaurant has a cozy and intimate ambiance, making it the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends. We really enjoyed our dinner here. Everything was excellent. The food was fantastic, and all the staff were kind a hospitable, especially with our children. We enjoyed the spaghetti with meatballs, lasagna, and bucatini alla carbona. My son said the tiramisu tasted like heaven, and we agreed. My daughter asked when we can go back. We will return next time we are in NYC.

I had a lunch at Osteria Barocca and the food was delicious In addition to the spicy rigatoni, I also ordered the fried calamari. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, exactly how calamari should be. The accompanying dipping sauce added a delightful tanginess to the dish. Overall, my dining experience at Osteria Barocca was delightful. The combination of delicious and fresh pasta with the perfectly cooked fried calamari made for a truly memorable meal. My new favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. I went here with a large group for my birthday and then took my parents when they came to visit. Both my friends and my parents would happily dine here again. Hard to find a great place that everyone will enjoy and THIS IS IT.

I recently dined at Osteria Barocca on Valentine's Day, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The food quality was subpar, with two out of eleven guests having to send back their dishes due to a lack of flavor and unappealing appearance. The Alfredo sauce, in particular, was described as pasta water with yellow cheese and flavorless, and the mashed potatoes accompanying the short ribs tasted like they were prepared from a box or with water. The slow service added to the frustration, and it was unclear whether the delay was due to understaffing or the inclusion of gratuity. The drinks were inconsistent, with multiple orders of the same item appearing different, and the strawberry lemonade was essentially lemonade with fresh sliced strawberries. Despite the disappointing culinary experience, the ambiance was the one positive note. The restaurant was nicely decorated for Valentine's Day, and the music added a pleasant touch. However, the cramped seating arrangement for our party of 11 left us feeling squished in a corner. In summary, while the ambiance was festive for Valentine's Day, the overall dining experience at Osteria Barocca fell short in terms of food quality, service, and seating comfort.

Had my birthday dinner here and it was perfect. Food, service and ambience were all amazing. The staff was so kind, welcoming, and helpful. Hosting a dinner with 20 people and making sure everyone was satisfied is no small feat, and they did it flawlessly. They brought out desserts with candles for the birthday celebration and were super flexible when I had to add people to my reservation last minute. I don’t write reviews often but I had to for this place, I can’t recommend it enough!
