Dinner was fabulous! Our table enjoyed Sushi, Halibut, Sea Bass, and Pork Chop. All meals were delicious and Leslie was an excellent server. Valet was a little chaotic, but hey…it was free!

The Orchard is a beautiful bar and restaurant with delicious food. While higher priced than other nearby venues, the menu is diverse and the craft cocktails and wine selection are outstanding. We were seated at a high top in the bar area so it was a bit noisy but we had a great view of the lovely patio and grounds through the open back doors. Service was a bit slow due to a large party, seasonal trainees and the bar being backed up but this is to be expected on a Friday night. One area that needs improvement is the valet service. Only one valet was on duty and the line of cars to get into the parking lot stretched onto the street. It is necessary to use the valet because the parking lot for the 3 venues on the property is often completely full on weekends. I love this restaurant and will definitely be back.

This was our third time. The atmosphere is outstanding. We went for our 23rd wedding anniversary and brought the kids! They had a great time, there are not a lot of restaurants as nice as this one.

Service was fantastic. The food was below average. We ordered lobster carbonara, Salmon and cod. All three dishes were terrible. For the money, expected a lot more.

We were anticipating this Mother’s Day brunch to be wonderful, especially with all the commercials we’ve seen about this place, and having to drive 2 1/2 hours, we were quite hopeful! But, sadly I don’t know if it’s worth the drive. The blue crab eggs Benedict…terrible. The poached eggs were hard, the crab cake was ALL filler…no crab…absolutely no seasoning, and the potatoes…burnt. Next chicken sandwich, it was ok, but I’ve had much better. The short rib hash…again, no seasoning and just ok. The burger, just ok. The sausage & gravy, just ok. The appetizers were pretty good. The best part of the meal was the espresso martini…and being with our family! The server apologized and I think they comp the drinks…it was not her fault! We told her she didn’t need to do that. We expected nothing. Will we be back…?…maybe, but we have many wonderful restaurants within an hour drive, so I doubt we will make the drive for “just ok food”.

Staff was excellent. Disappointed in the food. 2 out of 4 meals were cold. The burger was not very good for the cost. Ambiance is amazing.

Well, we were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. I booked in advance on OpenTable to have a table for two and I stressed for a romantic area with a view and we ended up getting a table by the exit door with no view by a wall we didn’t sit there so we chose to sit at the bar, which was not what I expected.. Bartender was fair. She got our order wrong. The food came out hot. She gave us the dessert for the laps in the wrong order. Didn’t expect valet parking a beautiful place. Enjoyed the ambience of the building in the outdoors. We couldn’t see because it was raining I would definitely go back but we were disappointed because it was such a special occasion and me trying to get it to nice and it wasn’t when we got there

The space is gorgeous, warm and inviting. The food could be improved. I had the crabcake, which was nothing special. The lobster meat tasted sub-par.

This place is amazing! Absolutely gorgeous and food was amazing. Really neat place. Make sure you check out The Coop in the back. So nice to sit around a smokeless fireplace after dinner and relax.

We visited on our anniversary. The ambiance was top notch from other experiences. Beautiful interior and layout. The food did not match. We had lamb chops and filet mignon. Both were charred from what appeared to be an uncleaned grill, the risotto was under cooked, as was the asparagus. The whipped feta was awesome though. We were so hopeful about this visit but it was disappointing. Not the responsibility of The Orchard Bar but new guests towards the end of our visit were sat next to us…they were wearing terribly distracting and disturbing amounts of perfume/fragrance. We will come back to try the sushi though. Until next time..

Everything was perfect during or visit. Service was impeccable, drinks kept filled, food served at appropriate times, waiter checked back several times. Food was cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. Prices were a little high, but typical fir the area, and quality.

Beautiful restaurant, service was great, drink options were plentiful, both seafood meals were sent back to be cooked longer which was very disappointing. Desserts were fabulous. Meal prices are definitely on the high end. The Market and Coop are cute additional dining options. Parking is an absolute disaster.

We were really expecting better. The food was average, fillet a bit chewy, seafood cold, but overcooked, the lamb shank special was good, but not over the top. Server was nice, but plates were not cleared throughout the meal as I’d expect from a nice restaurant. Deserts and drinks were good. We had cold air blowing directly on the table and my wife and daughter were freezing. Nothing was able to be done after a request. Just a lot of money for average quality compared to other places.

The Orchard did not disappoint! Reservation was made for a large group celebrating a bride-to-be! Orchard staff exhibited a great level of care to ensure everything was great! Noisy environment, but expected! Will be back!!

Mara our server was great. Had to send my entree back….over cooked. Second time was a charm. Husband got lobster/shrimp pasta special not spicy as described. Portions could be larger for price.

The prices are extravagant and the food is not. The owner was extremely rude and inconsiderate. Missing my potatoes on the plate. The food ordered was not the correct order. The wine was brought as the incorrect bottle. The pasta was dry. We could have made it better at home. No one cleared our appetizer plates or came by with water at any time during our meal. Fine dining atmosphere should not include a table of 20 after work party group. They should have been placed in the more casual back area. Overall, I would place this restaurant as a 2 out of 10. Go somewhere else for the money!!

The "New" Orchard is attractive and very comfortable whether you want to sit in the dining room or bar. The food offering continues to be broad and great tasting. The wait staff is well trained an attentive.

Tom was the best server we’ve had in Ohio in years ! We had party of seven with 5 not familiar with the menu. Tom was great guiding folks through the highlights and everything went incredibly smoothly. Food was great (as always) and Tom cut our birthday cake and helped us serve. All the party who had not been to Ørchard prior to this event lauded the whole experience and venue!

Orchard is one of the best restaurants in Northern Ohio and an unexpected treat for those visiting Catawba Island! The food was outstanding, the service was very friendly and the atmosphere was terrific! This has become one of my favorite restaurants and I would highly recommend it!

We love coming here. The food is always good. The happy hour has some great menu items. The only negative I can think of is the Wedge Salad is somewhat lacking compared to their other salads.

This was the best dinner in our four night stay in the area. The entrees were fabulous. The oysters Rockefeller appetizer was wonderful, as were our entrees. We had the sea bass piccanti, the lobster carbonara, and beef burger. It was a lovely 25 drive from Sandusky to the restaurant. We saw a bald eagle on the causeway!

I love the look of this place and the ambience. The guitar player was a nice touch and our server was excellent. The food, however has a lot of opportunity. It’s not a great value for what you pay and doesn’t even look appetizing on the half empty plates it’s served on. The fruit that was requested in lieu of potatoes was not fresh. And we have heard through the grapevine that the owners of this place take the credit card percentage out of the servers tips which I find unacceptable
